¹แล้วข้าพเจ้าเห็นทูตสวรรค์องค์หนึ่งลงมาจากสวรรค์ ท่านถือลูกกุญแจของเหวที่ไม่มีก้นเหวนั้นและถือโซ่ใหญ่

¹I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

²และท่านได้จับพญานาค ซึ่งเป็นงูดึกดำบรรพ์ ผู้ซึ่งเป็นพญามารและซาตาน และล่ามมันไว้พันปี

²He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,

³แล้วทิ้งมันลงไปในเหวที่ไม่มีก้นเหวนั้น แล้วได้ลั่นกุญแจประทับตรา เพื่อไม่ให้มันล่อลวงบรรดาประชาชาติได้อีกต่อไป จนครบกำหนดพันปีแล้วหลังจากนั้นจะต้องปล่อยมันออกไปชั่วขณะหนึ่ง

³and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.

⁴ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นบัลลังก์หลายบัลลังก์ และผู้ที่นั่งบนบัลลังก์นั้น ทรงมอบให้เป็นผู้ที่จะพิพากษา และข้าพเจ้ายังได้เห็นดวงวิญญาณของคนทั้งปวงที่ถูกตัดศีรษะ เพราะเป็นพยานของพระเยซู และเพราะพระวจนะของพระเจ้า และเป็นผู้ที่ไม่ได้บูชาสัตว์ร้ายนั้นหรือรูปของมัน และไม่ได้รับเครื่องหมายของมันไว้ที่หน้าผากหรือที่มือของเขา คนเหล่านั้นกลับมีชีวิตขึ้นมาใหม่ และได้ครอบครองร่วมกับพระคริสต์เป็นเวลาพันปี

⁴I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as didn’t worship the beast nor his image, and didn’t receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

⁵แต่คนอื่นๆที่ตายแล้วไม่ได้กลับมีชีวิตอีกจนกว่าจะครบกำหนดพันปี นี่แหละคือการฟื้นจากความตายครั้งแรก

⁵The rest of the dead didn’t live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

⁶ผู้ใดที่ได้มีส่วนในการฟื้นจากความตายครั้งแรกก็เป็นสุขและบริสุทธิ์ ความตายครั้งที่สองจะไม่มีอำนาจเหนือคนเหล่านั้น แต่เขาจะเป็นปุโรหิตของพระเจ้าและของพระคริสต์ และจะครอบครองร่วมกับพระองค์ตลอดเวลาพันปี

⁶Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.

⁷ครั้นพันปีล่วงไปแล้ว ก็จะปล่อยซาตานออกจากคุกที่ขังมันไว้

⁷And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison,

⁸และมันจะออกไปล่อลวงบรรดาประชาชาติทั้งสี่ทิศของแผ่นดินโลก คือโกกและมาโกก ให้คนมาชุมนุมกันทำศึกสงคราม จำนวนคนเหล่านั้นมากมายดุจเม็ดทรายที่ทะเล

⁸and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

⁹และคนเหล่านั้นยกขบวนออกไปทั่วแผ่นดินโลก และล้อมกองทัพของพวกวิสุทธิชน และเมืองอันเป็นที่รักนั้นไว้ แต่ไฟได้ตกลงมาจากพระเจ้าออกจากสวรรค์ เผาผลาญคนเหล่านั้น

⁹They went up over the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God, and devoured them.

¹⁰ส่วนพญามารที่ล่อลวงเขาเหล่านั้นก็ถูกโยนลงไปในบึงไฟและกำมะถัน ที่สัตว์ร้ายและผู้พยากรณ์เท็จอยู่นั้น และมันต้องทนทุกข์ทรมานทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืนตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์

¹⁰The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹¹ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นพระที่นั่งใหญ่สีขาว และเห็นพระองค์ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่งนั้น และแผ่นดินโลกและฟ้าอากาศก็อันตรธานไปจากพระพักตร์พระองค์ และไม่มีที่อยู่สำหรับแผ่นดินโลกและฟ้าอากาศนั้นต่อไปเลย

¹¹I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them.

¹²ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นบรรดาผู้ที่ตายแล้ว ทั้งผู้น้อยและผู้ใหญ่ ยืนอยู่จำเพาะพระพักตร์พระเจ้า และหนังสือต่างๆก็เปิดออก หนังสืออีกม้วนหนึ่งก็เปิดออกด้วย คือหนังสือแห่งชีวิต และผู้ที่ตายไปแล้วก็ถูกพิพากษาตามข้อความที่จารึกไว้ในหนังสือเหล่านั้น ตามที่เขาได้กระทำ

¹²I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.

¹³ทะเลก็ส่งคืนคนทั้งหลายที่ตายในทะเล ความตายและนรกก็ส่งคืนคนทั้งหลายที่อยู่ในที่เหล่านั้น และคนทั้งหลายก็ถูกพิพากษาตามการกระทำของตนหมดทุกคน

¹³The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades or, Hell gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

¹⁴แล้วความตายและนรกก็ถูกผลักทิ้งลงไปในบึงไฟ นี่แหละเป็นความตายครั้งที่สอง

¹⁴Death and Hades or, Hell were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

¹⁵และผู้ใดที่ไม่มีชื่อจดไว้ในหนังสือแห่งชีวิต ผู้นั้นก็ถูกทิ้งลงไปในบึงไฟ

¹⁵If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
