¹ภายหลังเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้ ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นทูตสวรรค์สี่องค์ยืนอยู่ที่มุมทั้งสี่ของแผ่นดินโลก ห้ามลมในแผ่นดินโลกทั้งสี่ทิศไว้ เพื่อไม่ให้ลมพัดบนบก ในทะเล หรือที่ต้นไม้ใดๆ

¹After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.

²แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็เห็นทูตสวรรค์อีกองค์หนึ่งปรากฏขึ้นมาจากทิศตะวันออก ถือดวงตราของพระเจ้าผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่ และท่านได้ร้องประกาศด้วยเสียงอันดังแก่ทูตสวรรค์ทั้งสี่ ผู้ได้รับมอบอำนาจให้ทำอันตรายแก่แผ่นดินและทะเลนั้น

²I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,

³ว่า "จงอย่าทำอันตรายแผ่นดิน ทะเลหรือต้นไม้ จนกว่าเราจะได้ประทับตราไว้ที่หน้าผากผู้รับใช้ทั้งหลายของพระเจ้าของเราเสียก่อน"

³saying, “Don’t harm the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”

⁴และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินจำนวนของผู้ที่ได้การประทับตรา คือผู้ที่ได้การประทับตรานั้น ก็มาจากทุกตระกูลในชนชาติอิสราเอลได้แสนสี่หมื่นสี่พันคน

⁴I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:

⁵of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,

⁶ผู้ที่มาจากตระกูลอาเชอร์ได้การประทับตราหมื่นสองพันคน ผู้ที่มาจากตระกูลนัฟทาลีได้การประทับตราหมื่นสองพันคน ผู้ที่มาจากตระกูลมนัสเสห์ได้การประทับตราหมื่นสองพันคน

⁶of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,

⁷of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,

⁸ผู้ที่มาจากตระกูลเศบูลุนได้การประทับตราหมื่นสองพันคน ผู้ที่มาจากตระกูลโยเซฟได้การประทับตราหมื่นสองพันคน ผู้ที่มาจากตระกูลเบนยามินได้การประทับตราหมื่นสองพันคน

⁸of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

⁹ต่อจากนั้นมา ข้าพเจ้าก็มองดู และดูเถิด คนมากมาย ถ้ามีผู้ใดจะนับประมาณมิได้เลย มาจากทุกชาติ ทุกตระกูล ประชากร และทุกภาษา คนเหล่านั้นสวมเสื้อสีขาว ถือใบตาลยืนอยู่หน้าพระที่นั่ง และต่อพระพักตร์พระเมษโปดก

⁹After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

¹⁰คนเหล่านั้นร้องเสียงดังว่า "ความรอดมีอยู่ที่พระเจ้าของเราผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่ง และมีอยู่ที่พระเมษโปดก"

¹⁰They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

¹¹และทูตสวรรค์ทั้งปวงที่ยืนรอบพระที่นั่ง รอบผู้อาวุโส และรอบสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ทั้งสี่นั้น ก้มลงกราบหน้าพระที่นั่ง และนมัสการพระเจ้า

¹¹All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,

¹²กล่าวว่า "เอเมน ความสรรเสริญ สง่าราศี ปัญญา การขอบพระคุณ พระเกียรติ อำนาจ และฤทธิ์เดช จงมีแด่พระเจ้าของเราตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์ เอเมน"

¹²saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

¹³และคนหนึ่งในพวกผู้อาวุโสนั้นถามข้าพเจ้าว่า "คนที่สวมเสื้อสีขาวเหล่านี้คือใคร และมาจากไหน"

¹³One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and from where did they come?”

¹⁴ข้าพเจ้าตอบท่านว่า "ท่านเจ้าข้า ท่านก็ทราบอยู่แล้ว" ท่านจึงบอกข้าพเจ้าว่า "คนเหล่านี้คือคนที่มาจากความทุกข์เวทนาครั้งใหญ่ พวกเขาได้ชำระล้างเสื้อผ้าของเขาในพระโลหิตของพระเมษโปดกจนเสื้อผ้านั้นขาวสะอาด

¹⁴I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

¹⁵เพราะเหตุนั้นเขาทั้งหลายจึงได้อยู่หน้าพระที่นั่งของพระเจ้า และปรนนิบัติพระองค์ในพระวิหารของพระองค์ทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน และพระองค์ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่งจะสถิตอยู่ท่ามกลางเขาเหล่านั้น

¹⁵Therefore they are before the throne of God, they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.

¹⁶พวกเขาจะไม่หิวกระหายอีกเลย แสงแดดและความร้อนจะไม่ส่องต้องเขาอีกต่อไป

¹⁶They will never be hungry, neither thirsty any more; neither will the sun beat on them, nor any heat;

¹⁷เพราะว่าพระเมษโปดกผู้ทรงอยู่กลางพระที่นั่งนั้นจะทรงเลี้ยงดูเขาไว้ และจะทรงนำเขาไปให้ถึงน้ำพุแห่งชีวิต และพระเจ้าจะทรงเช็ดน้ำตาทุกหยดจากตาของเขาเหล่านั้น"

¹⁷for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shepherds them, and leads them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
