¹เมื่อทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่ห้าเป่าแตรขึ้น ข้าพเจ้าก็เห็นดาวดวงหนึ่งตกจากฟ้าลงมาที่แผ่นดินโลก และประทานลูกกุญแจสำหรับเหวที่ไม่มีก้นเหวให้แก่ดาวดวงนั้น

¹The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him.

²เมื่อเขาเปิดเหวที่ไม่มีก้นเหวนั้น ก็มีควันพลุ่งขึ้นมาจากเหวนั้นดุจควันที่เตาใหญ่ และดวงอาทิตย์และอากาศก็มืดไป เพราะเหตุควันที่ขึ้นมาจากเหวนั้น

²He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a TR adds “great” burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.

³มีฝูงตั๊กแตนบินออกจากควันนั้นมายังแผ่นดินโลก ได้ประทานอำนาจแก่ตั๊กแตนนั้น เหมือนกับอำนาจของแมลงป่องแห่งแผ่นดินโลก

³Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

⁴และมีคำสั่งแก่มันไม่ให้ทำร้ายหญ้าบนแผ่นดินโลก หรือพืชเขียว หรือต้นไม้ แต่ให้ทำร้ายคนเหล่านั้นที่ไม่มีตราของพระเจ้าบนหน้าผากของเขาเท่านั้น

⁴They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads.

⁵และไม่ให้ฆ่าคนเหล่านั้น แต่ให้ทรมานเขาห้าเดือน การทรมานนั้นเป็นการทรมานที่เหมือนกับถูกแมลงป่องต่อย

⁵They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.

⁶ตลอดเวลาเหล่านั้น คนทั้งหลายจะแสวงหาความตายแต่จะไม่พบ เขาอยากจะตาย แต่ความตายจะหนีไปจากเขา

⁶In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

⁷ตั๊กแตนนั้นมีรูปร่างเหมือนม้าที่ผูกเครื่องพร้อมสำหรับออกศึก บนหัวมีสิ่งหนึ่งที่ดูเหมือนมงกุฎทองคำ หน้ามันเหมือนหน้ามนุษย์

⁷The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people’s faces.

⁸ผมมันเหมือนผมผู้หญิง ฟันมันเหมือนฟันสิงโต

⁸They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.

⁹มันมีทับทรวงเหมือนกับทับทรวงเหล็ก เสียงปีกมันเหมือนเสียงรถม้าเป็นอันมากกรูเข้ารบข้าศึก

⁹They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.

¹⁰มันมีหางเหมือนหางแมลงป่อง และหางมันนั้นมีเหล็กไน มันมีอำนาจที่จะทำร้ายมนุษย์ตลอดห้าเดือน

¹⁰They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months.

¹¹มันมีทูตแห่งเหวที่ไม่มีก้นเหวนั้นเป็นกษัตริย์ปกครองมัน ที่มีชื่อเรียกในภาษาฮีบรูว่า อาบัดโดน แต่ในภาษากรีกเรียกว่า อปอลลิโยน

¹¹They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon,” “Abaddon” is a Hebrew word that means ruin, destruction, or the place of destruction but in Greek, he has the name “Apollyon.” “Apollyon” means “Destroyer.”

¹²วิบัติอย่างที่หนึ่งผ่านไปแล้ว ดูเถิด ยังมีวิบัติอีกสองอย่างที่จะเกิดขึ้นในภายหน้า

¹²The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.

¹³เมื่อทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่หกเป่าแตรขึ้น ข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเสียงออกมาจากเชิงงอนมุมทั้งสี่ของแท่นทองคำที่อยู่เบื้องพระพักตร์พระเจ้า

¹³The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,

¹⁴เสียงนั้นสั่งทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่หกที่ถือแตรนั้นว่า "จงแก้มัดทูตสวรรค์ทั้งสี่ที่ถูกมัดไว้ที่แม่น้ำใหญ่นั้น คือแม่น้ำยูเฟรติส"

¹⁴saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, “Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”

¹⁵ทูตสวรรค์ทั้งสี่ก็ถูกแก้ปล่อยไป ซึ่งทรงเตรียมไว้สำหรับชั่วโมง วัน เดือน และปี ที่จะให้ฆ่ามนุษย์เสียหนึ่งในสามส่วน

¹⁵The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.

¹⁶และจำนวนพลทหารม้ามีสองร้อยล้าน นี่คือจำนวนที่ข้าพเจ้าได้ยิน

¹⁶The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million literally, “ten thousands of ten thousands” . I heard the number of them.

¹⁷ในนิมิตนั้นข้าพเจ้าสังเกตเห็นม้าเป็นดังนี้คือ ผู้ที่นั่งบนหลังม้านั้น ก็มีทับทรวงสีไฟ สีพลอยสีแดง และสีกำมะถัน หัวม้าทั้งหลายนั้นเหมือนหัวสิงโต มีไฟและควันและกำมะถันพลุ่งออกมาจากปากของมัน

¹⁷Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.

¹⁸มนุษย์ถูกฆ่าเสียหนึ่งในสามส่วนด้วยภัยพิบัติสามอย่างนี้ คือ ไฟและควันและกำมะถันที่พลุ่งออกมาจากปากมันนั้น

¹⁸By these three plagues were one third of mankind killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.

¹⁹เพราะว่าฤทธิ์ของม้านั้นอยู่ที่ปากและหาง หางของมันเหมือนงูและมีหัว สิ่งเหล่านี้ทำให้มันทำร้ายคนได้

¹⁹For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.

²⁰มนุษย์ทั้งหลายที่เหลืออยู่ ที่มิได้ถูกฆ่าด้วยภัยพิบัติเหล่านี้ ยังไม่ได้กลับใจเสียใหม่จากงานที่มือเขาได้กระทำ ไม่ได้เลิกบูชาผี บูชา `รูปเคารพที่ทำด้วยทองคำ เงิน ทองสัมฤทธิ์ หินและไม้ รูปเคารพเหล่านั้นจะดูหรือฟังหรือเดินก็ไม่ได้'

²⁰The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.

²¹และเขาก็มิได้กลับใจเสียใหม่จากการฆ่าฟันกัน และการเวทมนตร์ การล่วงประเวณี และการลักขโมย

²¹They didn’t repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, The word for “sorceries” (pharmakeia) also implies the use of potions, poisons, and drugs nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
