¹Ikaw ay bumaba, at umupo sa alabok, Oh anak na dalaga ng Babilonia; lumagmak ka sa lupa na walang luklukan, Oh anak na babae ng mga Caldeo: sapagka't hindi ka na tatawaging maselang at mahinhin.

¹Come down and sit in the dust, virgin-daughter of Babylon! Sit on the ground, -- [there is] no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

²Ikaw ay kumuha ng gilingang mga bato, at gumiling ka ng harina; magalis ka ng iyong lambong, maghubad ka ng balabal, maglitaw ka ng binti, tumawid ka sa mga ilog.

²Take the millstones, and grind meal; remove thy veil, lift up the train, uncover the leg, pass over rivers:

³Ang iyong kahubaran ay malilitaw, oo, ang iyong kahihiyan ay makikita, ako'y manghihiganti, at hindi tatangi ng tao.

³thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen. I will take vengeance, and I will meet none [to stay me]. ...

⁴Ang aming Manunubos, ang Panginoon ng mga hukbo ay siyang pangalan niya, ang Banal ng Israel.

⁴Our Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. ...

⁵Maupo kang tahimik, at masok ka sa kadiliman, Oh anak na babae ng mga Caldeo: sapagka't hindi ka na tatawagin. Ang mahal na babae ng mga kaharian.

⁵Sit silent, and get thee into darkness, daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called, Mistress of kingdoms.

⁶Ako'y napoot sa aking bayan, aking dinumhan ang aking mana, at ibinigay ko sa iyong kamay: hindi mo pinagpakitaan sila ng kaawaan; sa may katandaan ay pinabigat mong mainam ang iyong atang.

⁶I was wroth with my people, I polluted mine inheritance, and gave them into thy hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the aged didst thou very heavily lay thy yoke;

⁷At iyong sinabi, Ako'y magiging mahal na babae magpakailan man: na anopa't hindi mo ginunita ang mga bagay na ito sa iyong kalooban, o inalaala mo man ang huling wakas nito.

⁷and thou saidst, I shall be a mistress for ever; so that thou didst not take these things to heart, thou didst not remember the end thereof.

⁸Ngayon nga'y dinggin mo ito, ikaw na hinati sa mga kalayawan, na tumatahang matiwasay, na nagsasabi sa kaniyang puso, Ako nga, at walang iba liban sa akin; hindi ako uupong gaya ng babaing bao, o mararanasan man ang pagkawala ng mga anak:

⁸And now hear this, thou voluptuous one, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thy heart, It is I, and there is none but me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know loss of children:

⁹Nguni't ang dalawang bagay na ito ay darating sa iyo sa isang sangdali, sa isang araw, ang pagkawala ng mga anak at pagkabao; sa kanilang karamihan ay darating sa iyo, sa karamihan ng iyong panggagaway, at sa totoong kasaganaan ng iyong mga enkanto.

⁹yet these two things shall come upon thee in a moment, in one day, loss of children and widowhood; they shall come upon thee in full measure for the multitude of thy sorceries, for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

¹⁰Sapagka't ikaw ay tumiwala sa iyong kasamaan; iyong sinabi, Walang nakakakita sa akin; ang iyong karunungan at ang iyong kaalaman, nagpaligaw sa iyo: at iyong sinabi sa iyong puso, Ako nga, at walang iba liban sa akin.

¹⁰For thou hast confided in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath seduced thee; and thou hast said in thy heart, It is I, and there is none but me.

¹¹Kaya't ang kasamaan ay darating sa iyo; hindi mo malalaman ang bukang liwayway niyaon: at kasakunaan ay sasapit sa iyo; hindi mo maaalis: at kagibaan ay darating sa iyong bigla, na hindi mo nalalaman.

¹¹But evil shall come upon thee -- thou shalt not know from whence it riseth; and mischief shall fall upon thee, which thou shalt not be able to ward off; and desolation that thou suspectest not shall come upon thee suddenly.

¹²Tumayo ka ngayon sa iyong mga enkanto, at sa karamihan ng iyong panggagaway, na iyong ginawa mula sa iyong kabataan: marahil makikinabang ka, marahil mananaig ka.

¹²Stand now with thine enchantments and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to turn them to profit, if so be thou mayest cause terror.

¹³Ikaw ay yamot sa karamihan ng iyong mga payo: magsitayo ngayon ang nanganghuhula sa pamamagitan ng langit, at ng mga bituin, ang mga mangingilala ng tungkol sa buwan, at siyang magligtas sa iyo sa mga bagay na mangyayari sa iyo.

¹³Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the interpreters of the heavens, the observers of the stars, who predict according to the new moons what shall come upon thee, stand up, and save thee.

¹⁴Narito, sila'y magiging gaya ng pinagputulan ng trigo; susunugin sila ng apoy; sila'y hindi makaliligtas sa bangis ng liyab: hindi babaga na mapagpapainitan, o magiging apoy na mauupuan sa harap.

¹⁴Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.

¹⁵Ganito mangyayari ang mga bagay sa iyo, na iyong ginawa: silang nangalakal sa iyo mula sa iyong kabinataan ay lalaboy bawa't isa ng kaniyang sariling lakad; walang magliligtas sa iyo.

¹⁵Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, they that trafficked with thee from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his own quarter; there is none to save thee.
