¹At gumawa si David ng mga bahay sa bayan ni David; at ipinaghanda niya ng isang dako ang kaban ng Dios, at ipinaglagay roon ng isang tolda.

¹David made him houses in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

²Nang magkagayo'y sinabi ni David, Walang makapagdadala ng kaban ng Dios kundi ang mga Levita: sapagka't sila ang pinili ng Panginoon upang magsipagdala ng kaban ng Dios, at upang mangasiwa sa kaniya magpakailan man.

²Then David said, “No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites. For Yahweh has chosen them to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever.”

³At pinisan ni David ang buong Israel sa Jerusalem, upang iahon ang kaban ng Panginoon sa dakong pinaghandaan.

³David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh to its place, which he had prepared for it.

⁴At pinisan ni David ang mga anak ni Aaron, at ang mga Levita:

⁴David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:

⁵Sa mga anak ni Coath: si Uriel na pinuno, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, isang daan at dalawangpu;

⁵of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;

⁶Sa mga anak ni Merari: si Asaias na pinuno, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, dalawang daan at dalawangpu;

⁶of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;

⁷Sa mga anak ni Gersom: si Joel na pinuno, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, isang daan at tatlongpu;

⁷of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;

⁸Sa mga anak ni Elisaphan: si Semeias na pinuno, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, dalawang daan:

⁸of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;

⁹Sa mga anak ni Hebron: si Eliel na pinuno, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, walongpu;

⁹of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;

¹⁰Sa mga anak ni Uzziel: si Aminadab na pinuno, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, isang daan at labing dalawa.

¹¹At ipinatawag ni David si Sadoc at si Abiathar na mga saserdote, at ang mga Levita, si Uriel, si Asaias, at si Joel, si Semeias, at si Eliel, at si Aminadab,

¹¹David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

¹²At sinabi sa kanila, Kayo ang mga pinuno sa mga sangbahayan ng mga magulang ng mga Levita: magpakabanal kayo, at gayon din ang inyong mga kapatid, upang inyong maiahon ang kaban ng Panginoon, ng Dios ng Israel, hanggang sa dakong aking pinaghandaan.

¹²and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.

¹³Sapagka't dahil sa hindi ninyo dinala nang una, ang Panginoon nating Dios ay nagalit sa atin, sapagka't hindi natin hinanap siya ayon sa utos.

¹³For because you didn’t carry it at first, Yahweh our God made broke out against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”

¹⁴Sa gayo'y ang mga saserdote at ang mga Levita ay nagpakabanal, upang iahon ang kaban ng Panginoon, ng Dios ng Israel.

¹⁴So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

¹⁵At pinisan ng mga anak ng mga Levita ang kaban ng Dios sa kanilang mga balikat sa pamamagitan ng mga pingga niyaon, gaya ng iniutos ni Moises ayon sa salita ng Panginoon.

¹⁵The children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Yahweh.

¹⁶At si David ay nagsalita sa pinuno ng mga Levita, na ihalal ang kanilang mga kapatid na mangaawit, na may mga panugtog ng tugtugin, mga salterio, at mga alpa, at mga simbalo, upang magsitugtog ng malakas, at maglakas ng tinig na may kagalakan.

¹⁶David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, stringed instruments and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.

¹⁷Sa gayo'y inihalal ng mga Levita si Heman na anak ni Joel; at sa kaniyang mga kapatid ay si Asaph na anak ni Berechias; at sa mga anak ni Merari na kanilang mga kapatid ay si Ethan na anak ni Cusaias;

¹⁷So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

¹⁸At kasama nila, ang kanilang mga kapatid sa ikalawang hanay, si Zacharias, si Ben, at si Jaaziel, at si Semiramoth, at si Jehiel, at si Unni, si Eliab, at si Benaias, at si Maasias, at si Mathithias, at si Eliphelehu, at si Micnias, at si Obed-edom, at si Jehiel, na mga tagatanod-pinto.

¹⁸and with them their brothers of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.

¹⁹Sa gayo'y ang mga mangaawit, si Heman, si Asaph, at si Ethan, ay nangahalal na may mga simbalong tanso upang patunuging malakas;

¹⁹So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of brass to sound aloud;

²⁰At si Zacharias, at si Jaaziel, at si Semiramoth, at si Jehiel, at si Unni, at si Eliab, at si Maasias, at si Benaias, na may mga salterio na itinugma sa Alamoth;

²⁰and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;

²¹At si Mathithias, at si Eliphelehu, at si Micnias, at si Obed-edom, at si Jehiel, at si Azazias, na may mga alpa na itinugma sa Seminit, upang magayos sa pagawit.

²¹and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.

²²At si Chenanias, na pinuno ng mga Levita, nasa pamamahala sa awitan: siya ang nagtuturo tungkol sa pagawit, sapagka't siya'y bihasa.

²²Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.

²³At si Berechias, at si Elcana ay mga tagatanod sa kaban.

²³Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

²⁴At si Sebanias, at si Josaphat, at si Nathanael, at si Amasai, at si Zacharias, at si Benaias at si Eliezer na mga saserdote, ay nagsihihip ng mga pakakak sa harap ng Dios: at si Obed-edom, at si Jehias ay mga tagatanod sa kaban.

²⁴Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

²⁵Sa gayo'y si David, at ang mga matanda sa Israel, at ang mga punong kawal sa mga lilibuhin, ay nagsiyaon upang iahong may sayahan ang kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon mula sa bahay ni Obed-edom:

²⁵So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.

²⁶At nangyari, na pagka tinulungan ng Dios ang mga Levita na nangagdadala ng kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon, na sila'y naghahain ng pitong baka at pitong tupa.

²⁶It happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, that they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

²⁷At si David ay nababalot ng isang balabal na mainam na kayong lino, at ang lahat na Levita na nagsisipasan ng kaban, at ang mga mangaawit, at si Chenanias na tagapagturo ng awit na kasama ng mga mangaawit: at si David ay mayroong isang epod na lino.

²⁷David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: and David had on him an ephod of linen.

²⁸Gayon iniahon ng buong Israel ang kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon na may mga hiyawan, at may mga tunog ng korneta, at mga pakakak, at may mga simbalo, na tumutunog ng malakas na may mga salterio at mga alpa.

²⁸Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.

²⁹At nangyari, samantalang ang kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon ay dumarating sa bayan ni David, na si Michal na anak ni Saul ay tumanaw sa dungawan, at nakita niya ang haring David na sumasayaw at tumutugtog; at kaniyang niwalang kabuluhan siya sa kaniyang puso.

²⁹It happened, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
