1Oti toe, Yesus modao' hi tana' Galilea. Uma-ipi dota hilou hi tana' Yudea, apa' topoparenta to Yahudi hi ria doko' mpopatehi-i.
1And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2Nto'u toe, neo' rata-mi eo bohe to Yahudi to rahanga' Posusa' Pobamaru'.
2Now the feast of the Jews, the feast of tabernacles, was at hand.
3Jadi', ompi' -na Yesus mpobawai-i hilou hi Yudea mpokaralai eo bohe toe, ra'uli' -ki: "Neo' -hawo ntora hi rehe'i! Hilou-tamo hi Yudea, bona topetuku' -nu mpohilo anu mekoncehi to nubabehi.
3His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may behold thy works which thou doest.
4Uma-ko mpai' jadi' tau bohe ane ntora hi rehe'i-wadi-ko. Ane mpobabehi anu mekoncehi mpu'u-ko, popohiloi hawe'ea tauna hi dunia'!"
4For no man doeth anything in secret, and himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world.
5Hewa toe-mi lolita-ra ompi' -na Yesus, apa' uma wo'o-ra-rawo mepangala' hi Hi'a.
5For even his brethren did not believe on him.
6Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Ko'ia rata tempo-na kupopehuwu woto-ku. Ane koi' -koina, uma beiwa ba nto'uma-koi hilou hi Yerusalem,
6Jesus therefore saith unto them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready.
7apa' uma ria tauna to mpokahuku' -koi. Aku' -e, rapokahuku' -a-kuna tauna to dada'a hi dunia' toi, apa' ntora ku'uli' -raka kadada'a kehi-ra.
7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
8Meri'ulu-mokoi hilou hi posusaa' toe ria. Aku', ko'ia-a-kuna hilou, apa' ko'ia rata tempo-ku."
8Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast; because my time is not yet fulfilled.
9Wae-mi lolita Yesus hi ompi' -na, pai' tida moto-imi hi Galilea.
9And having said these things unto them, he abode [still] in Galilee.
10Hilou mpu'u-ramo ompi' -na Yesus hi Yerusalem bona mpokaralai Posusa' Pobamaru' hi ria. Ntaa' metuku' bongo moto-idi-hawo Yesus-e, aga hadudua-na bona neo' ra'incai ntodea.
10But when his brethren were gone up unto the feast, then went he also up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
11Hi posusaa' toe, topoparenta to Yahudi ntora mpopali' -i, ra'uli': "Hiapa-imidi Yesus-e?"
11The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
12Pai' ntodea wo'o, mparanusi-ramo mpotompo'wiwi-i. Ria-ra to mpo'uli': "Tauna to lompe' moto-i-hawo." Hantongo' wo'o mpo'uli': "Uma-di! Topebagiu-i-hana!"
12And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray.
13Tapi' uma haduaa to daho' mpolonto', apa' me'eka' wo'o-ra wa hi topoparenta to Yahudi.
13Yet no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.
14Pentongoa' posusa' tohe'e, Yesus mesua' hi rala Tomi Alata'ala, pai' natepu'u-mi metudui'.
14But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15Konce-ra topoparenta to Yahudi mpo'epe tudui' -na, ra'uli': "Beiwa pai' na'inca ihi' Buku Tomoroli', bo uma-i-hawo mosikola-e?"
15The Jews therefore marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
16Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "To kutudui' -kokoile, tudui' ngkai Alata'ala to mposuro-a, bela tudui' -ku moto.
16Jesus therefore answered them and said, My teaching is not mine, but his that sent me.
17Hema to doko' mpobabehi konoa Alata'ala, ra'inca mpai' kangkaiapa-na tudui' -ku toi, ba ngkai Alata'ala mpu'u-di ba lolita-ku moto-wadi.
17If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or [whether] I speak from myself.
18Tauna to mpokeni lolita-na moto, mpope'une' -i-wadi. Tapi' tauna to mpali' karabilaa' -na Alata'ala to mposuro-i, tauna to monoa' -i, uma ria pebagiua-na.
18He that speaketh from himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19Nabi Musa owi mpowai' -koi Atura Pue'. Tapi' uma-koi ria haduaa to mpotuku' Atura toe. Napa pai' doko' nipatehi-a?"
19Did not Moses give you the law, and [yet] none of you doeth the law? Why seek ye to kill me?
20Ra'uli' ntodea: "Wuli-ko! Hema to doko' mpopatehi-ko?"
20The multitude answered, Thou hast a demon: who seeketh to kill thee?
21Na'uli' Yesus: "Mekehele-koi, apa' mpaka'uri' -a tauna hi Eo Sabat.
21Jesus answered and said unto them, I did one work, and ye all marvel because thereof.
22Hiaa' koi' wo'o mobago moto hi Eo Sabat ane mpobabehi-koi ada petini'. Nabi Musa owi mpohubui-koi mpotini' ana' -ni. (Tapi' kakoo-kono-na ada petini' toe ngkai ntu'a-ta owi to meri'ulu ngkai Musa, bela ngkai Musa moto.) Ane ria ana' -ni to kana ratini' hi Eo Sabat, bate nitini' moto-i.
22Moses hath given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers); and on the sabbath ye circumcise a man.
23Jadi', ane metini' -koi hi Eo Sabat bona neo' ntiboki Atura Musa, napa pai' nikaroe-a apa' mpaka'uri' -a tauna hi Eo Sabat bona hobo' woto-na lompe'?
23If a man receiveth circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken; are ye wroth with me, because I made a man every whit whole on the sabbath?
24Neo' ranaa to kahiloa hi mali-na-wadi. Pakanoa' powile-ni bona nihilo napa to makono."
24Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25Kara'epe-na pue' ngata Yerusalem lolita-na Yesus toe, ingu' -ramo. Ria-ra to mpo'uli': "Ha bela tauna toe-imi mai to rapali' pangkeni-ta, doko' rapatehi-e?
25Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
26Hiaa' he'e-imi mai metudui' hante uma ria kakoo-koroa' -na, pai' uma hema to mpokamaro-i. Ba lue' ra'inca lau-mi pangkeni-ta Kahi'a-na Magau' Topetolo' -e?
26And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?
27Aga uma-hawo masipato' Kahi'a-na Magau' Topetolo', apa' ta'inca kangkaiapa-na. Ane rata mpu'u mpai' Magau' Topetolo' to rajanci owi-e, uma mpai' hema to mpo'incai kangkaiapa-na."
27Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when the Christ cometh, no one knoweth whence he is.
28Jadi', bula-na Yesus metudui' hi rala Tomi Alata'ala, mekio' -i napesukui, na'uli': "Ni'uli' ni'inca moto kahema-ku pai' kangkaiapa-ku. Tumai-a, uma ntuku' konoa-ku moto. Tumai-a mpotuku' konoa-na Alata'ala to mposuro-a. Hi'a-mi to masipato' rapangala'. Tapi' koi' uma mpo'incai-i.
28Jesus therefore cried in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me, and know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29Aku', ku'inca-i apa' ngkai Hi'a pehupaa' -ku, pai' Hi'a to mposuro-a."
29I know him; because I am from him, and he sent me.
30Nto'u toe, ria-ra to doko' mpohoko' -i, aga uma hema to dungku pale-ra hi Hi'a, apa' ko'ia rata tempo-na.
30They sought therefore to take him: and no man laid his hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31Wori' hi olo' tau ntodea to mepangala' hi Hi'a, ra'uli': "Magau' Topetolo' mpu'u-i-tawo', baa' wori' -di tanda mekoncehi to nababehi-e."
31But of the multitude many believed on him; and they said, When the Christ shall come, will he do more signs than those which this man hath done?
32Ria-ra to Parisi to mpo'epe kamparanusi-ra ntodea mpotompo'wiwi Yesus. Toe pai' to Parisi hante imam pangkeni mpohubui ba hangkuja dua topojaga Tomi Alata'ala hilou mpohoko' -i.
32The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him; and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.
33Nto'u toe, Yesus mpololitai ntodea, na'uli' -raka: "Hampai' -a-damo dohe-ni. Nculii' -a mpai' hilou hi Hi'a to mposuro-a.
33Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while am I with you, and I go unto him that sent me.
34Nipali' -a mpai', aga uma-apa niruai'. Pai' hi kahilouaa-ku uma-koi bisa hilou."
34Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, ye cannot come.
35Ingu' -ramo topoparenta to Yahudi mpo'epe lolita-na, pai' momepekune' -ramo, ra'uli': "Hilou hiapa-ile', pai' na'uli' uma-i mpai' taruai' -e? Meka' ba hilou-i mo'oha' dohe to Yahudi to mposowo' -ra to Yunani, pai' -i mpotudui' -ra to Yunani.
35The Jews therefore said among themselves, Whither will this man go that we shall not find him? will he go unto the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
36Pai' napa batua lolita-na to mpo'uli', tapali' -i aga uma-i taruai', pai' uma-ta bisa hilou hi kahilouaa-na?"
36What is this word that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me; and where I am, ye cannot come?
37Eo ka'omea-na susa' tohe'e, eo to meliu karapomobohe-na. Hi eo toe, mokore-imi Yesus hi rala Tomi Alata'ala, pai' -i mekio': "Hema-koi to ngkamara, tumai-mokoi hi Aku' pai' nginu!
37Now on the last day, the great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.
38Hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli': hema to mepangala' hi Aku', ngkai nono-ra mo'ili wori' ue to tuwu'."
38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water.
39Lolita-na Yesus toe mpowalatu Inoha' Tomoroli', to mehompo mpai' hi tauna to mepangala' hi Hi'a. Nto'u pololita-na Yesus toe, Inoha' Tomoroli' ko'ia mehompo hi topetuku' -na, apa' Yesus ko'ia rapomobohe.
39But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believed on him were to receive: for the Spirit was not yet [given]; because Jesus was not yet glorified.
40Wori' tauna mpo'epe lolita Yesus toe, pai' ria-ra hantongo' to mpo'uli': "Bate Hi'a-mile nabi to najanci Alata'ala owi-e."
40[Some] of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is of a truth the prophet.
41Hantongo' wo'o-ra mpo'uli': "Magau' Topetolo' mpu'u-idi!" Aga ria wo'o-ra to mpo'uli': "Ah, to Galilea-i-hanale! Uma masipato' Magau' Topetolo' mehupa' ngkai Galilea.
41Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, What, doth the Christ come out of Galilee?
42Rala Buku Tomoroli' te'uki': Magau' Topetolo' muli Magau' Daud, pai' mehupa' ngkai ngata Betlehem, ngata kaputua Daud."
42Hath not the scripture said that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?
43Alaa-na momehono' lau-ramo ntodea: hantongo' -ra mepangala' hi Yesus, hantongo' uma.
43So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.
44Ria-ra to doko' mpohoko' -i, aga uma hema to dungku pale-ra.
44And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
45Topojaga Tomi Alata'ala to rahubui mpohoko' Yesus, nculii' -ramo hilou hi to Parisi pai' imam pangkeni. Uma-ra oko mpohoko' -i. Ra'uli' pangkeni toera: "Napa-di pai' uma-i nihoko' pai' nikeni tumai-e?"
45The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why did ye not bring him?
46Ratompoi': "Apa' ko'ia ria ki'epei tauna to mololita hewa Hi'a!"
46The officers answered, Never man so spake.
47Mehono' to Parisi toera: "Ei' -e! Ha nabagiu wo'o-moko-koiwo koi' -e?
47The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are ye also led astray?
48Hilo, uma ria hadua pangkeni ba to Parisi to mepangala' hi Yesus.
48Hath any of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?
49Muntu' ntodea to mpangala' -i, apa' uma ra'incai Atura Musa. Harala-rada!"
49But this multitude that knoweth not the law are accursed.
50Ngkai ree, mololita wo'o-mi-hawo hadua to Parisi to rahanga' Nikodemus. Nikodemus toei, ria-imi hangkani mpencuai' Yesus. Na'uli' Nikodemus mpo'uli' -raka doo-na:
50Nicodemus saith unto them (he that came to him before, being one of them),
51"Ntuku' atura-ta-hawo, uma-ta ma'ala mpohuku' tauna ane ko'ia-hawo ra'epe noa' -na pai' raparesa' gau' -na."
51Doth our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he doeth?
52Hampetompoi' doo-na: "Ha ngkai Galilea wo'o-ko-kowo iko-e! Wile-dile pai' kamata rala Buku Tomoroli' -e. Uma ria nabi to mehupa' ngkai Galilea."
52They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and see that out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
53Oti toe, nculii' -ramo, hore-hore hilou hi tomi-ra.
53And they went every man unto his own house:
