6

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2Neo' -e' ompi'! Uma-hawo bela ohea-na ane tapokaliliu mpobabehi jeko', apa' ma'ala-mi ta'uli' mate-tamo hangkaa-ngkania hante Kristus bona mogaa' posidaia' -ta hante jeko'.
2God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?
3Tantu ni'inca moto ompi', kita' toi raniu' hi rala posidaia' -ta hante Kristus Yesus, pai' karaniu' -ta toe mpobatuai kamate-ta hangkaa-ngkania hante Hi'a.
3Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4Hi karaniu' -ta toe, ma'ala ta'uli', kita' -mi to mate pai' ratana hangkaa-ngkania hante Kristus, bona hewa Kristus rapotuwu' nculii' ngkai kamatea hante baraka' Alata'ala to Tuama, wae wo'o-hawo kita' mporata katuwua' to bo'u hante po'ingku to bo'u.
4We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
5Jadi', ane ntoa' mosidai' -ta-damo hante Yesus pai' hante kamatea-nae, bate rapotuwu' nculii' wo'o-ta mpai' hibalia hante Hi'a.
5For if we have become united with [him] in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of his resurrection;
6Ta'inca ompi': katuwu' -ta to ri'ulu rapatehi-mi hangkaa-ngkania hante Kristus hi kaju parika', bona mogero kuasa jeko' to hi rala katuwu' -ta, bona uma-tapa napobatua jeko'.
6knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;
7Apa' ane rapa' -na mate hadua tauna, tebahaka-imi ngkai kuasa jeko'.
7for he that hath died is justified from sin.
8Jadi', ane ntoa' mate-ta-damo hangkaa-ngkania hante Kristus toe-e, taparasaya bate tuwu' wo'o-ta mpai' hangkaa-ngkania hante Hi'a.
8But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him;
9Apa' ta'inca ompi', Kristus rapotuwu' nculii', pai' oti toe tuwu' liu-liu-imi-hana. Uma-pi ria kuasa napa-napa to ma'ala mpopatehi-i.
9knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.
10Mate hangkani-i-wadi mpodagi kuasa jeko' duu' kahae-hae-na. Pai' hewa too-toi, tuwu' liu-liu-imi mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala.
10For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11Wae wo'o kita' kana mpo'uli' hi rala nono-ta: "Mate-ama hangkaa-ngkania hante Kristus Yesus, uma-pi ria posidaia' -ku hante jeko'. Tuwu' -a pai' mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala-a-damo sabana posidaia' -ku hante Kristus Yesus."
11Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.
12Jadi', neo' -pi tapelele' jeko' mpokuasai katuwu' -ta hi dunia' toi, neo' tatuku' kahinaa-ta to dada'a.
12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:
13Woto-ta neo' taponcawa rewa to tahenta mpobabehi jeko' pai' po'ingku to dada'a. Tatonu katuwu' -ta hi Alata'ala, apa' lawi' tebakaha-tamo ngkai kamatea pai' -ta mporata katuwua' to bo'u. Tatonu woto-ta hi Alata'ala bona woto-ta toe tapake' mpobabehi po'ingku to monoa'.
13neither present your members unto sin [as] instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God.
14Apa' kita', uma-tapa nakuasai jeko'. Apa' uma-tapa tehoo' hi Atura Pue'. Ncarumaka kabula rala-na Alata'ala-ta-damo.
14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.
15Jadi', Alata'ala mpo'uli' kamonoa' -ta hi poncilo-na muntu' ngkai kabula rala-na-wadi, bela ngkai petuku' -ta hi Atura-na. Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi: "Ane wae-di, ma'ala moto-ta mpobabehi jeko'." Neo' -koiwo ompi'!
15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid.
16Tantu ni'inca ompi': ane rapa' -na mengkoru-ta hi hadua tauna pai' tatuku' hawa' -na, kita' jadi' batua tauna toei. Wae wo'o-hawo hante jeko': ane ntora tatuku' kahinaa nono-ta to dada'a, napobatua jeko' -tamo. Ka'omea-na mpai' mporata-ta kamatea to mpogaa' -ta ngkai Alata'ala. Aga ane mengkoru-ta hi Alata'ala, napobatua Alata'ala-tamo pai' na'uli' kamonoa' -ta hi poncilo-na.
16Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves [as] servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17Ri'ulu kako'ia-ni mepangala' hi Yesus, napobatua jeko' mpu'u-koi. Aga tarima kasi hi Alata'ala! Apa' mengkoru-mokoi hante karoli' -roli' nono-ni hi kareba to raparata-mikokoi.
17But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered;
18Jadi', tebahaka-mokoi ngkai kanapobatua-ni jeko', pai' jadi' batua Alata'ala-mokoi to mpotuku' konoa-na.
18and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness.
19Lolita rapa' -ku toe kupake' bona mojoli nipaha tudui' -ku. Ri'ulu-koi napobatua jeko', apa' nipelele' woto-ni mpotuku' kahinaa-ni to dada'a pai' to uma tumotoa, alaa-na dada'a mpu'u kehi-ni. Wae wo'o tempo toi, tonu woto-ni hi Alata'ala bona koi' jadi' batua-na. Ka'omea-na mpai' monoa' mpu'u-mi kehi-ni pai' moroli' katuwu' -ni.
19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members [as] servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members [as] servants to righteousness unto sanctification.
20Ri'ulu bula-ni napobatua jeko' -pidi, uma-koi mengkoru hi konoa Alata'ala.
20For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness.
21Napa-mi-hawo rasi' to nirata ngkai katuwu' -ni to ri'ulu tetu? Nipoka'ea' lau-mi po'ingku-ni to ri'ulu tetu. Po'ingku to hewa tetu mpokeni kamatea to mpogaa' -koi ngkai Alata'ala.
21What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22Tapi' tempo tohe'i-e, tebahaka-mokoi ngkai kuasa jeko' pai' napobatua Alata'ala-mokoi. Tohe'i mpokeni rasi' mpu'u hi koi', apa' tuwu' moroli' -koi pai' ka'omea-na mporata-mokoi katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na.
22But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.
23Hema to mpobabehi jeko' bate mporata gaji', pai' gaji' tetu-le kamatea to mpogaa' -ta ngkai Alata'ala. Tapi' pewai' mara Alata'ala hi kita', katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na. Pewai' mara toe tarata ngkai posidaia' -ta hante Kristus Yesus, Pue' -ta.
23For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
