1 John

1

1Ihi' sura toi mpotompo'wiwi Lolita to mpowai' katuwua'. To mpowai' katuwua' toei, ria ami' -imi ngkai lomo' -na. Ki'epe-imi, kihilo-i hante mata-kai moto-mi. Kihilo mpu'u-imi, kiganga-imi-kaina hante pale-kai.
1That which was from [the] beginning, that which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes; that which we contemplated, and our hands handled, concerning the word of life;
2To mpowai' katuwua' toei, mehupa' -imi hi dunia' toi, pai' kihilo-imi-kaina. Toe pai' kipakanoto-kokoi kahema-nai, pai' mposabii' Kahi'a-na to mpowai' katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na. Ngkai lomo' -na, ria ami' -imi dohe Alata'ala to Tuama, pai' mehupa' -imi hi kai'.
2(and the life has been manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and report to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and has been manifested to us:)
3Napa to oti kihilo pai' to ki'epe, toe-mi to kiparata-kokoi, bona hintuwu' -koi hangkaa-ngkania hante kai'. Pai' kahintuwua' -ta tohe'i-e, kahintuwua' hante Alata'ala to Tuama pai' Yesus Kristus Ana' -na.
3that which we have seen and heard we report to you, that *ye* also may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship [is] indeed with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4Ki'uki' -kokoi tohe'i, bona gana-mi kagoea' -ta.
4And these things write we to you that your joy may be full.
5Toi-mi kareba to ki'epe ngkai Yesus pai' kiparata-kokoi: Alata'ala, Hi'a-mi baja, uma ria hangkedia' kabengia-na hi Hi'a.
5And this is the message which we have heard from him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6Ane ta'uli' hintuwu' -ta hante Alata'ala, pai' momako' moto-ta hi rala kabengia-na, moboa' -tamo pai' uma tatuku' tudui' to makono.
6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not practise the truth.
7Ane momako' -ta hi rala kabajaa-na, hewa Alata'ala ria hi rala kabajaa-na, hintuwu' -tamo hadua pai' hadua, pai' nabohoi' -ta ngkai hawe'ea jeko' -ta sabana raa' Yesus Ana' -na to mate jadi' tolo' woto-ta.
7But if we walk in the light as *he* is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8Ane ta'uli' uma ria jeko' -ta, mpobagiu woto-ta moto-tamo, pai' uma tapoinono tudui' to makono.
8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9Ane tapangaku' jeko' -ta, Alata'ala mpopadupa' janci-na hi kita', pai' nababehi napa to monoa': na'ampungi jeko' -ta pai' nabohoi' -tamo ngkai hawe'ea kasalaa' -ta.
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us [our] sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10Ane ta'uli' uma-ta mojeko', mpakiboa' Alata'ala lau-tamo, pai' uma tapoinono lolita-na.
10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
