Uma: New Testament

Darby's Translation

1 Peter

3

1Wae wo'o koi' tobine, mengkoru-koi hi tomane-ni, bona ane ria-ra tomane-ni to uma mepangala' hi Lolita Alata'ala, kehi-ni toe-mi mpobalii' -ra jadi' mepangala'. Uma mingki' ni'uli' -raka napa-napa,
1Likewise, wives, [be] subject to your own husbands, that, even if any are disobedient to the word, they may be gained without [the] word by the conversation of the wives,
2apa' kampohilo-ra kehi-ni to moroli' pai' pengkoru-ni, kehi-ni toe-mi mpotudui' -ra, pai' -ra mepangala' -mi-hawo hi Pue'.
2having witnessed your pure conversation [carried out] in fear;
3Ane doko' subo' -koi, neo' kasuboa' to hi mali-na-wadi, hewa mporampai wuluwoo' ba mpakancola woto hante bulawa pai' pohea to masuli' oli-na.
3whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4Poko kasuboa' mpu'u-le, mehupa' ngkai rala nono-ta, hewa rapa' -na tobine to monono pai' to mo'olu kehi-na. Toe-hana kasuboa' to uma ria kabalia' -na, pai' to masuli' lia oli-na hi poncilo Alata'ala.
4but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible [ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5Apa' wae wo'o-hawo po'ingku tobine to owi to moroli' katuwu' -ra pai' to ncarumaka Alata'ala. Tobine toera jadi' subo' apa' mengkoru-ra hi tomane-ra.
5For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6Hewa rapa' -na Sara mpotuku' hawa' -na Abraham tomane-na, pai' nahanga' -i tua. Hiaa' koi' ompi', ma'ala ta'uli' ana' Sara-mokoi, ane nituku' po'ingku-na to lompe' pai' uma-koi me'eka' ane ria to mpobalinai' -koi.
6as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7Wae wo'o koi' tomane, tuwu' hintuwu' -koi hante tobine-ni, pai' penonoi beiwa ohea-ni mpotulungi-ra, apa' karohoa-ra uma hewa karohoa tomane. Aga nau' wae, tobine-ni bate hibalia hante koi' hi poncilo Alata'ala, apa' nawai' wo'o-ra-rawo katuwua' to duu' kahae-hae-na hibalia koi'. Toe pai' kana nibila' -ra hewa to kasipato' -na. Apa' ane uma-koi hintuwu' hante tobine-ni, telawa' mpai' posampaya-ni.
7[Ye] husbands likewise, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, as with a weaker, [even] the female, vessel, giving [them] honour, as also fellow-heirs of [the] grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8Ka'omea-na, tuwu' hintuwu' -ta omea, hameha' hawa' pai' hanono lau, momepoka'ahi' hewa to ntali ompi', lompe' nono pai' mpakadingki' nono hi doo.
8Finally, [be] all of one mind, sympathising, full of brotherly love, tender hearted, humble minded;
9Ane ria tauna to mpodaa' -ta, neo' tapehawai hante to dada'a. Ane ralibui' -ta, neo' tatimalihi-ra. Agina-pi gau' to dada'a toe tapehawai hante mperapi' -raka gane' to lompe' ngkai Alata'ala. Apa' Alata'ala mpokio' -ta jadi' topetuku' -na bona mporata gane' to lompe' ngkai Hi'a.
9not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing [others], because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10Hi rala Buku Tomoroli' te'uki' hewa toi: Hema to doko' goe' pai' lompe' tuwu' -na kana mpojagai wiwi-na bona neo' -i mpohowa' lolita to dada'a, pai' neo' -i mebagiu.
10For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11Kana nabahakai gau' to dada'a pai' babehi-mi gau' to lompe'. Kana nahuduwukui mpali' kahintuwuaa' hi doo.
11And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12Apa' Pue' mpewili' tauna to mpotuku' konoa-na, pai' na'epe pekakae-ra. Aga na'ewa tauna to dada'a gau' -ra."
12because [the] eyes of [the] Lord [are] on [the] righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but [the] face of [the] Lord [is] against them that do evil.
13Ha hema-hana to mpodaa' -tae ane tida-ta mpobabehi po'ingku to lompe' -e?
13And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which [is] good?
14Aga ane rapa' -na mporata kaparia mpu'u-ta ngkai kehi-ta to monoa', marasi' lau-ta ompi'! Jadi', ane ria to mpongasai' -ta, neo' tapoka'eka' -ra pai' neo' koro'.
14But if also ye should suffer for righteousness' sake, blessed [are ye]; but be not afraid of their fear, neither be troubled;
15Tonu katuwu' -ta hi Kristus, pai' pangaku' -mi Kahi'a-na-wadi Pue' -ta. Kana taporodo ami' -mi petompoi' -ta mpotompoi' tauna to mpekune' -ta napa pai' ncarumaka Alata'ala-ta. Aga tatompoi' -ra, hante lolita to mo'olu pai' hante nono to dingki'.
15but sanctify [the] Lord the Christ in your hearts, and [be] always prepared to [give] an answer [to] every one that asks you to give an account of the hope that [is] in you, but with meekness and fear;
16Pai' uma ma'ala kasalaia' po'ingku-ta. Po'ingku-ta kana hewa to masipato' hi topetuku' Kristus, bona ane ria tauna to mpobalihi-ta, me'ea' huli' lau-ra-wadi mpai'.
16having a good conscience, that [as to that] in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may be ashamed who calumniate your good conversation in Christ.
17Lompe' -di ane mporata kaparia-ta sabana ingku-ta to lompe', ane toe konoa Alata'ala hi kita'. Agina lau-pi toe, ngkai mporata kaparia sabana ingku-ta to dada'a.
17For [it is] better, if the will of God should will it, to suffer [as] well-doers than [as] evildoers;
18Apa' Kristus wo'o mporata kaparia nau' uma ria sala' -na. Mate hangkani lau-i-wadi mpokolo jeko' manusia'. Hi'a to uma ria sala' -na mposampei-ta to masala', bona nakeni-ta hi Alata'ala. Woto-na rapatehi, tapi' rapotuwu' nculii' -imi hante baraka' Inoha' Tomoroli'.
18for Christ indeed has once suffered for sins, [the] just for [the] unjust, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in flesh, but made alive in [the] Spirit,
19Hante baraka' Inoha' Tomoroli' toe, hilou-imi mpopalele pedagia-na hi rate-rate to ratarungku'.
19in which also going he preached to the spirits [which are] in prison,
20Ratarungku' -ra toe sabana pesapuaka-ra hi Alata'ala owi nto'u katuwua' -na nabi Nuh. Nto'u toe owi, moloe ahi' -na Alata'ala mpopea kabali' nono manusia' bula-na Nuh mpobabehi sakaya-na. Aga ka'omea-na, Alata'ala mpogero dunia' hante ue, pai' walu-ra-wadi tauna to mesua' hi rala sakaya pai' mporata kalompea'.
20heretofore disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in [the] days of Noah while the ark was preparing, into which few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:
21Ue to mpogero dunia' nto'u toe, ma'ala rarapai' -ki ada peniu' tempo toi, apa' ada toe mpokeni kalompea' hi kita' wae lau ompi'. Aga ada toe bela-hawo ada to mpobohoi' wotoloka' -ta ngkai to babo'. Ada toe taponcawa pomperapi' -ta hi Alata'ala, taperapi' bona nabohoi' nono-ta ngkai jeko'. Pai' nabohoi' mpu'u-tamo ngkai jeko' -ta, hante katuwu' -na nculii' Yesus Kristus.
21which figure also now saves you, [even] baptism, not a putting away of [the] filth of flesh, but [the] demand as before God of a good conscience, by [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22Katuwu' -na nculii' toe, hilou-imi hi suruga, pai' -i mohura hi mali ka'ana Alata'ala. Hawe'ea mala'eka pai' topoparenta pai' pue' -pue' to mobaraka' ntani' -na, rapopengkoru hi Hi'a omea-ramo.
22who is at [the] right hand of God, gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being subjected to him.
