2

1Lomo' -lomo' -na, mohawa' -a bona hawe'ea topetuku' Pue' Yesus mosampaya, mpobua' pekakae, pomperapia' pai' pontarima kasi-ta hi Alata'ala. Mosampaya-ta mposampayai hawe'ea tauna,
1I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made for all men;
2mposampayai magau' duu' -na hawe'ea topoparenta. Kana taposampayai-ra, bona rodo-hawo katuwu' -ta pai' neo' -tawo ria to mpobalinai' -ta, bona mologa-ta mepue' hi Alata'ala pai' mpobabehi oa' gau' to natao rabila' doo.
2for kings and all that are in dignity, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and gravity;
3Posampaya to hewa toe-mi to lompe', pai' to napokono Alata'ala, Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta.
3for this is good and acceptable before our Saviour God,
4Apa' konoa-na bona hawe'ea tauna tehore ngkai huku' jeko' -ra, pai' -ra mpo'inca tudui' to makono.
4who desires that all men should be saved and come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.
5Hadua lau-wadi Alata'ala, pai' hadua wo'o-wadi Tauntongo' to mpopohintuwu' Alata'ala hante manusia'. Tauntongo' toei, manusia' wo'o-i-hawo, Hi'a-mi Kristus Yesus.
5For God is one, and [the] mediator of God and men one, [the] man Christ Jesus,
6Napewai' woto-na rapatehi bona mpotolo' hawe'ea manusia'. Nababehi toe hi tempo to napakatantu Alata'ala, bona monoto-mi tahilo konoa Alata'ala bona hawe'ea manusia' tehore ngkai huku' jeko' -ra.
6who gave himself a ransom for all, the testimony [to be rendered] in its own times;
7Toe pai' na'ongko' -ama Alata'ala jadi' suro-na. Nahubui-a mpopalele kareba toe hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi. Nahubui-a mpotudui' -ra tudui' to makono, bona mepangala' -ra hi Yesus. Makono to ku'uli' toe, uma-a boa'.
7to which *I* have been appointed a herald and apostle, (I speak [the] truth, I do not lie,) a teacher of [the] nations in faith and truth.
8Konoa-ku, bona butu ngkani mogampara, tomane-tomane mpo'ongko' pale-ra mosampaya. Aga kana to moroli' gau' -ra, uma-hawo natao ane mosampaya-ra bula-ra moroe pai' momehono'.
8I will therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up pious hands, without wrath or reasoning.
9Wae wo'o-hawo tobine. Tobine kana mpopake' pohea to natao, ntuku' ada to lompe'. Neo' mpenasa pohea-ra bona ra'une' doo, neo' mpopenyala wuluwoo', neo' mporampai woto hante bulawa ba mutiara pai' pohea-pohea to masuli' oli-na.
9In like manner also that the women in decent deportment and dress adorn themselves with modesty and discretion, not with plaited [hair] and gold, or pearls, or costly clothing,
10Agina tobine ra'une' sabana po'ingku-ra to lompe', hewa to natao hi tobine to mengkoru hi Alata'ala.
10but, what becomes women making profession of the fear of God, by good works.
11Tobine kana mengkalino mpe'epei tudui' hante nono to dingki'.
11Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection;
12Uma kupiliu tobine mpotudui' ba mpohawai' tomane. Kana mengkalino-ra mpe'epei-wadi.
12but I do not suffer a woman to teach nor to exercise authority over man, but to be in quietness;
13Apa' to lomo' -na napajadi' Alata'ala, Adam, pai' lako' Hawa.
13for Adam was formed first, then Eve:
14Pai' bela Adam to nabagiu Magau' Anudaa', Hawa-hana to rabagiu, pai' alaa-na mpotiboki-i parenta Alata'ala.
14and Adam was not deceived; but the woman, having been deceived, was in transgression.
15Toe pai' tobine mpotodohaka kaparia hi po'ana' -ra. Aga nau' wae, mporata moto-ra kalompea' ane tida-ra mepangala' hi Pue', tida mpoka'ahi' doo, pai' tuwu' moroli' ntuku' ada to lompe'.
15But she shall be preserved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with discretion.
