1Ane ompi' -ompi' hampepangalaa' -ta to tuwu' batua, tudui' -ra bona mpobila' pai' mpengkorui maradika-ra hi butu nyala-na, bona neo' mpai' ria tauna to mporuge' hanga' Alata'ala ba mporuge' tudui' -ta.
1Let as many bondmen as are under yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and the teaching be not blasphemed.
2Ane rapa' -na maradika-ra to Kristen wo'o-i-hawo, neo' ra'uli' hewa toi: "Uma mingki' kutuku' hawa' -na, apa' hingka ompi' -ku moto-i-hawo hi rala Pue'." Agina kaloo-lompea' lau-di pongkamu-ra bago maradika-ra, apa' maradika to rapobago-ki toe, ompi' hampepangalaa' -ra to rapoka'ahi'.
2And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them] because they are brethren; but let them the rather serve them with subjection, because they are faithful and beloved, who profit by the good and ready service [rendered]. These things teach and exhort.
3Ria moto-ra hantongo' to mpokeni tudui' to mosisala hante tudui' -ta. Uma rapangalai' tudui' to makono to ngkai Pue' -ta, Pue' Yesus Kristus. Uma rapangalai' lolita to mpotudui' -ta mengkoru hi Pue' Ala.
3If any one teach differently, and do not accede to sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the teaching which [is] according to piety,
4Tauna to hewa toe, mengkakapante-pante-ra-wadi, uma ra'incai napa-napa. Konoa-ra, ntora momehono' pai' mpali' pome'anua lolita-wadi. Ngkai tudui' -ra toe, pai' alaa-na wori' tauna mohingi', motuda', metuntui', merai',

6Makono moto-di, po'agama-ta mpokeni rasi' bohe, asala rodo-mi nono-ta hante napa to ria hi kita'.
6But piety with contentment *is* great gain.
7Apa' uma ria hanyalaa to takeni tumai hi rala dunia'. Pai' uma wo'o mpai' ria hanyalaa to takeni mpalai.
7For we have brought nothing into the world: [it is] [manifest] that neither can we carry anything out.
8Jadi', ane ria-damo pongkoni' pai' pohea-ta, hono' -mi-hawo.
8But having sustenance and covering, we will be content with these.

9But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many unwise and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and ruin.
10Apa' ngkai kampokahina-ta doi mehupa' wori' nyala kehi to dada'a. Ria mpu'u tauna to sese' mpali' doi, alaa-na meleli' -ramo ngkai pepangala' -ra, pai' wori' kasusaa' mporumpa' -ra.
10For the love of money is [the] root of every evil; which some having aspired after, have wandered from the faith, and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
11Aga iko Timotius, batua Alata'ala-moko-kona. Pokalaa tuwu' -nu ngkai hawe'ea kehi to hewa toe we'i lou. Huduwukui mpotuku' po'ingku to monoa'. Mengkoru hi Alata'ala. Perohoi pepangala' -nu hi Kristus pai' ahi' -nu hi doo. Tari hi rala kasusaa', mo'alusu' kehi hi doo.
11But *thou*, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness of spirit.
12Neo' nubahakai mpotuku' ohea pepangala' -ta, perohoi ngkakamu katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na. 12Strive earnestly [in] the good conflict of faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast confessed the good confession before many witnesses.
13Jadi', toi-mi paresa' -ku hi iko Timotius. Kuparesai' -ko hi nyanyoa Alata'ala to mpowai' katuwua' hi butu nyala-na, pai' hi nyanyoa Kristus Yesus to mpo'uli' posabi' to makono hi nyanyoa Pontius Pilatus.

15which in its own time the blessed and only Ruler shall shew, the King of those that reign, and Lord of those that exercise lordship;
16Hadudua-na Hi'a-wadi to uma ria kamatea-na. Mo'oha' -i hi rala hini to uma mowo pehini-na. Uma haduaa to ma'ala mpomohui' -i ba mpohilo-i, apa' uma-i kahiloa. Muntu' Hi'a-wadi to natao rabila' pai' to natao moparenta duu' kahae-hae-na. Amin! Wae mpu'u-hana!
16who only has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor is able to see; to whom [be] honour and eternal might. Amen.
17Ane tauna to mo'ua' hi rala dunia' toi, tudui' -ra bona neo' molangko nono-ra pai' neo' ncarumaka rewa dunia', apa' rewa dunia' uma ria katoroa' -na. Agina ncarumaka-ra Alata'ala to mpowai' -ta hawe'ea rasi' hante uma ria huka' -na bona tapokagoe'.
17Enjoin on those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust on the uncertainty of riches; but in the God who affords us all things richly for [our] enjoyment;
18Paresai' -ra bona mpobabehi oa' gau' to lompe', mpotulungi doo, jole' mewai', pai' lompe' nono-ra.
18to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in distributing, disposed to communicate [of their substance],

19laying by for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of [what is] really life.
20Timotius, Alata'ala mposarumaka-ko mpokeni tudui' to makono. Jadi', jaga lompe' tudui' toe, bona neo' mpai' hema to mpobalii'. Ra'uli' -rana, ria inca-ra, ntaa' uma-di makono-e.
20O Timotheus, keep the entrusted deposit, avoiding profane, vain babblings, and oppositions of false-named knowledge,
