2 Peter

1

1Sura toi ngkai aku', Simon Petrus, batua pai' suro-na Yesus Kristus, kupakatu tilou hi ompi' -ompi' to bela-koi to Yahudi to mepangala' -mi hi Yesus Kristus hibalia hante kai'. Yesus Kristus toei, Hi'a-mi Alata'ala pai' Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta. Napajadi' -koi mepangala' hibalia hante kai' apa' pobabehi-na monoa'.
1Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through [the] righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:
2Wori' tabe: mekakae-a hi Alata'ala bona nawai' -koi kawoo-woria' gane' -na pai' kalompea' tuwu', apa' ni'inca-imi Alata'ala pai' Yesus Pue' -ta.
2Grace and peace be multiplied to you in [the] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
3Bohe mpu'u katuwu' -na Alata'ala, pai' lompe' lia nono-na. Ngkai kabohe tuwu' -na pai' kalompe' nono-na toe, nakio' -tamo jadi' ana' -na, duu' -na ta'inca mpu'u-imi. Pai' napake' baraka' -na to bohe lia, nawai' -ta butu nyala to taparaluu hi rala katuwu' -ta pai' petuku' -ta hi Hi'a.
3As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue,
4Ngkai kabohe tuwu' -na pai' kalompe' nono-na toe, nawai' -tamo rasi' -rasi' to uma mowo kalompe' -na pai' to bohe lia to najanci-mitaka. Patuju-na mpowai' -koi rasi' toe, bona ma'ala-koi mpo'uhi kehi Alata'ala, pai' neo' -pi mpotuku' kahinaa to dada'a. Kahinaa to dada'a toe mpokero katuwu' -ra tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala.
4through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5Jadi', apa' lawi' wae-mi petulungi-na hi koi' -e ompi', huduwukui mpu'u-koi mpodonihii pepangala' -ni hante kehi to lompe'. Pai' kehi-ni to lompe' toe nidonihii wo'o hante kanotoa nono.
5But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge,
6Oti toe, donihii ncuu petuku' -ni hi Alata'ala duu' -na nipakule' mpokuasai konoa woto-ni, ntaha hi rala kasusaa', mengkoru hi Alata'ala,
6in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness,
7pai' mpoka'ahi' ompi' hampepangalaa' -ni. Pai' ahi' hi ompi' hampepangalaa' -ni toe nidonihii tena mpoka'ahi' hawe'ea tauna.
7in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love:
8Ane hewa toe-damo kehi-ni pai' ane nidonihii ncuu, mokalaua mpu'u-koi mpo'inca Pue' -ta Yesus Kristus, pai' moroho petuku' -ni hi Hi'a.
8for these things existing and abounding in you make [you] to be neither idle nor unfruitful as regards the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ;
9Aga tauna to uma hewa toe kehi-ra, hewa to wero-ra. Apa' ane tauna to wero uma monoto pehilo-na, wae wo'o tauna to hewa toe rede' pekiri-ra, apa' uma rakiwoi karabohoi' -rami ngkai jeko' -ra to timpaliu-mi.
9for he with whom these things are not present is blind, short-sighted, and has forgotten the purging of his former sins.
10Toe-mi ompi', apa' lawi' napelihi-mokoi Alata'ala pai' nakio' -koi jadi' topetuku' -nae, nihuduwukui mpu'u-e' mpotuku' Alata'ala, bona monoa' ni'inca kanapelihi-ni pai' kanakio' -ni. Apa' ane nidonihii pepangala' -ni hante kehi hewa to ku'uli' -e we'i, bate uma-wakoi mpai' monawu',
10Wherefore the rather, brethren, use diligence to make your calling and election sure, for doing these things ye will never fall;
11pai' hi eo mpeno-na Alata'ala mpobea-kokoi wobo' suruga, nadoa-koi mesua' hi rala Kamagaua' -na Pue' -ta Yesus Kristus, Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta. Kamagaua' -na toe uma ria kahudua-na.
11for thus shall the entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be richly furnished unto you.
12Toe-mi ompi', nau' ni'inca moto-mi hawe'ea toe lau, pai' nau' moroho-mi petuku' -ni hi tudui' to makono, aga uma palaia-na kupopokiwoii oa' -koi.
12Wherefore I will be careful to put you always in mind of these things, although knowing [them] and established in the present truth.
14Apa' ku'inca neo' rata-mi ioa' -ku, hewa to na'uli' -ka Pue' -ta Yesus Kristus. Jadi', ane da tuwu' -tuwu' -a-pidi, masipato' ku'uli' oa' lolita-ku mpo'apui nono-ni pai' mpopokiwoii-koi hawe'ea toe lau.
13But I account it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance,
15Toe pai' kuhuduwukui wo'o bona ane mate-apa mpai', ma'ala oa' -koi mpokiwoi hawe'ea toe lau.
14knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me;
16Kitudui' -kokoi kabohe baraka' -na Pue' -ta Yesus Kristus pai' karata-na nculii' mpai' hi dunia'. To kitudui' -kokoi toe, bela jarita to ratamangko-wadi. Ki'inca toe, apa' mata-kai moto-mi mposabii' kabohe tuwu' -na.
15but I will use diligence, that after my departure ye should have also, at any time, [in your power] to call to mind these things.
17Apa' hangkani, ria-kai doo-na Yesus hi lolo bulu', pai' kihilo-i mehini ngkai kabohe tuwu' -na pai' pebila' to narata ngkai Alata'ala Tuama-na. Ki'epe libu' ngkai Alata'ala to mobaraka' to mpo'uli': "Hi'a toi-mi Ana' -ku to kupe'ahi', Hi'a to mpakagoe' nono-ku."
16For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cleverly imagined fables, but having been eyewitnesses of *his* majesty.
18Kai' moto-mi to mpo'epe lolita to ngkai suruga tohe'e, bula-kai ria dohe-na hi lolo bulu' to moroli'.
17For he received from God [the] Father honour and glory, such a voice being uttered to him by the excellent glory: This is my beloved Son, in whom *I* have found my delight;
19Jadi', ngkai to kihilo toe, kamoroo-rohoa lau-mi pepangala' -kai hi lolita nabi-nabi to owi.
18and this voice *we* heard uttered from heaven, being with him on the holy mountain.
20Aga to meliu lia ngkai hawe'ea, kana nikiwoi tohe'i: napa to ra'uki' nabi toe, uma ma'ala tabatuai ntuku' konoa-ta moto.
19And we have the prophetic word [made] surer, to which ye do well taking heed (as to a lamp shining in an obscure place) until [the] day dawn and [the] morning star arise in your hearts;
21Apa' nabi-nabi to owi mpoparata lolita toe uma ntuku' konoa manusia'. Hante pepakeni Inoha' Tomoroli' -hana nabi toera mpohowa' lolita to ngkai Alata'ala.
20knowing this first, that [the scope of] no prophecy of scripture is had from its own particular interpretation,
21for prophecy was not ever uttered by [the] will of man, but holy men of God spake under the power of [the] Holy Spirit.
