1Hampulu' opo' mpae ngkai ree, hilou wo'o-ama hi Yerusalem hante Barnabas. Pai' Titus wo'o kupo'ema' hilou.
1Then after a lapse of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with [me];
2Pai' -a hilou hi Yerusalem nto'u toe, apa' ria lolita ngkai Alata'ala to mpo'uli' -ka kana hilou-a. Karata-ku hi Yerusalem, ku'uli' -raka pangkeni to Kristen hi ria napa ihi' Kareba Lompe' to kukeni hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi. Koro' -a, nee-neo' mpai' ria to mposalai' tudui' -ku, duu' -na uma ria kalaua-na bago-ku mpotudui' tauna Kareba Lompe', lompe' to mpolia' kupobago-mi, lompe' to bula-na kupobago-pidi. Toe pai' moromu-a muntu' hante pangkeni to Kristen hi Yerusalem.
2and I went up according to revelation, and I laid before them the glad tidings which I preach among the nations, but privately to those conspicuous [among them], lest in any way I run or had run in vain;
3Ka'omea-na, Titus, to kupo'ema' toei, nau' to Yunani-i, uma-i rapewuku bona ratini' ntuku' Atura Musa.
3(but neither was Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, compelled to be circumcised;)
4Ria moto-ra to mpo'uli' Titus kana ratini'. Tauna toera mpo'uli' Katokristen-ra, ntaa' boa' -ra-wadi. Mesua' bongo-ra hi rala poromua-kai doko' mpolelemata-kai. Apa' patuju-ra bona hawe'ea to Kristen kana mengkoru hi Atura Musa. Tapi' uma mingki' tapengkorui Atura Musa bona jadi' monoa' -ta hi poncilo Alata'ala-e. Tebahaka-tamo ngkai Atura Musa sabana posidaia' -ta hante Kristus Yesus.
4and [it was] on account of the false brethren brought in surreptitiously, who came in surreptitiously to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage;
5Uma-kai mengkoru hangkedia' hi tudui' -ra to boa' toe. Bate metantida-kai, bona Kareba Lompe' neo' ragalo hante tudui' -ra to boa' toe, bona Kareba Lompe' to nitarima ompi' bate makono mpu'u.
5to whom we yielded in subjection not even for an hour, that the truth of the glad tidings might remain with you.
6Jadi', pangkeni hi Yerusalem to ra'uli' bohe pangka' -ra toe uma mpotampai ba napa-napa hi tudui' -ku. (Ba bohe mpu'u pangka' -ra ba uma, hibalia-wadi-kuna, apa' Alata'ala uma mpelence tauna.)
6But from those who were conspicuous as being somewhat -- whatsoever they were, it makes no difference to me: God does not accept man's person; for to me those who were conspicuous communicated nothing;
7Uma-ra mpotampai napa-napa hi tudui' -ku, rapangaku' lau-mi ka'aku' -nami to nasarumaka Alata'ala mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi, hewa Petrus wo'o nasarumaka Alata'ala mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hi to Yahudi.
7but, on the contrary, seeing that the glad tidings of the uncircumcision were confided to me, even as to Peter that of the circumcision,
8(Apa' Alata'ala mpowai' karohoa hi Petrus jadi' suro Pue' Yesus hi to Yahudi. Pai' Alata'ala wo'o-wadi-kuwo to mpowai' -a karohoa jadi' suro-na hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi.)
8(for he that wrought in Peter for [the] apostleship of the circumcision wrought also in me towards the Gentiles,)
9Jadi', Yakobus, Petrus pai' Yohanes toera-e, to lence-na mpototu'ai hawe'ea to Kristen hi Yerusalem, hira' toe mpo'uli': "Makono mpu'u, Paulus nakio' mpu'u-imi Pue' Yesus jadi' suro-na." Toe pai' momekamu ngkapale-kai, kai' Barnabas hante hira' Yakobus, Petrus pai' Yohanes. Pomekamu ngkapale-kai toe jadi' tanda kahintuwu' -kai. Hibalia lolita kai: kahira' -nami to mpokarebai-ra to Yahudi, pai' kai' -kaiwo, to mpokarebai to bela-ra to Yahudi.
9and recognising the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were conspicuous as being pillars, gave to me and Barnabas [the] right hands of fellowship, that *we* [should go] to the nations, and *they* to the circumcision;
10Sampale to raperapi', bona uma-kai putu mpotulungi tokabu. Ane toe-hana, bate to kubabehi ami' -mi.
10only that we should remember the poor, which same thing also I was diligent to do.
11Hangkani, nto'u Petrus rata hi ngata Antiokhia, uma kudiki' -diki' mpokamaro-i, apa' sala' mpu'u gau' -na.
11But when Peter came to Antioch, I withstood him to [the] face, because he was to be condemned:
12Lomo' -na uma-i mpelence to Yahudi ba to bela-ra to Yahudi, ngkoni' moto-i hangkaa-ngkania hante topetuku' Yesus to bela-ra to Yahudi. Aga nto'u karata-ra ba hangkuja dua doo-na Yakobus ngkai Yerusalem, mengkawulaa-imi ngkai topetuku' Yesus to bela-ra to Yahudi. Uma-ipi daho' ngkoni' dohe-ra, apa' me'eka' -i mpai' rakehele to Yahudi to lako' rata toera.
12for before that certain came from James, he ate with [those of] the nations; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those of [the] circumcision;
13Pai' to Yahudi to ntani' -na hi Antiokhia to mepue' hi Pue' Yesus, metuku' wo'o-ramo-rawo mpotuku' gau' -na Petrus toe, nau' ra'inca moto ka'uma-na-hawo natao. Duu' -na Barnabas wo'o-hawo mehina loe', uma-ipi ngkoni' dohe-ra to bela-ra to Yahudi.
13and the rest of the Jews also played the same dissembling part with him; so that even Barnabas was carried away too by their dissimulation.
14Kuhilo gau' -ra toe uma hintotoa hante tudui' to makono to tarata hi Kareba Lompe'. Toe pai' kukamaro-imi Petrus hi nyanyoa hawe'ea to morumpu, ku'uli' -ki: "Iko to Yahudi-ko, tapi' biasa-na mpotuku' ada-ra to bela-ra to Yahudi-moko, uma-pi mingki' nutuku' ada to Yahudi. Jadi', napa-di pai' doko' nupewuku topetuku' Pue' Yesus to bela-ra to Yahudi mpotuku' ada to Yahudi-e!"
14But when I saw that they do not walk straightforwardly, according to the truth of the glad tidings, I said to Peter before all, If *thou*, being a Jew, livest as the nations and not as the Jews, how dost thou compel the nations to Judaize?
15Ane kai' Petrus, to Yahudi ami' -ka-kaina ngkai kaputu-kai, uma-kaiwo dada'a gau' -kai hewa tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala.
15We, Jews by nature, and not sinners of [the] nations,
16Aga nau' wae, ki'inca kabela-na kehi-kai to lompe' pai' -kai jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala. Nau' kituku' lia hawe'ea parenta hi rala Atura Musa, bela tetu to mpomonoa' -kai hi poncilo Alata'ala. Ohea bona jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala-le, muntu' mepangala' hi Kristus Yesus-wadi. Toe pai' mepangala' -makai hi Kristus Yesus bona jadi' monoa' -kai hi poncilo-na Alata'ala sabana pepangala' -kai hi Kristus. Uma-pi kisarumaka petuku' -kai hi Atura Musa, apa' uma ria haduaa tauna to jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala ngkai kampotuku' -ra parenta to hi rala Atura Musa.
16but knowing that a man is not justified on the principle of works of law [nor] but by the faith of Jesus Christ, *we* also have believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified on the principle of [the] faith of Christ; and not of works of law; because on the principle of works of law no flesh shall be justified.
17Jadi', kai' to Yahudi, doko' jadi' monoa' -ka-kaina hi poncilo Alata'ala ngkai posidaia' -kai hante Kristus. Tapi' meka' ria mpai' tauna to mpo'uli' hewa toi: "Ane mepangala' -wadi-koi hi Kristus pai' uma-pi mengkoru-koi hi Atura Musa, batua-na topojeko' wo'o-wadi-ko-koiwo hibalia hante tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi. Jadi', mojeko' lau-mokoi sabana petuku' -ni hi Kristus tetu." Uma-e' makono lolita toe ompi'!
17Now if in seeking to be justified in Christ we also have been found sinners, then [is] Christ minister of sin? Far be the thought.
18Ane rapa' -na kubahakai-mi mpotuku' Atura Musa pai' oti toe kukanculihii wo'o-mi mpotuku' Atura toe, mojeko' mpu'u-ama ompi'.
18For if the things I have thrown down, these I build again, I constitute myself a transgressor.
19Apa' mogaa' -mi posidaia' -ku hante Atura Musa. Ngkai Atura Musa toe pai' alaa-na masala' -ama hi poncilo Alata'ala pai' natao rahuku' mate-a. Toe pai' alaa-na mogaa' -mi posidaia' -ku hante Atura Musa, bona mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala-a-damo. Ma'ala-mi ta'uli' hewa toi: nto'u Kristus mate hi kaju parika', hewa aku' -midie to mate dohe-nae.
19For *I*, through law, have died to law, that I may live to God.
20Bela-pi aku' to tuwu' toi-e, Kristus-mi-hanale to tuwu' hi rala katuwu' -kue. Jadi', kahae-ku hi rala dunia' toi, bate mepangala' -a hi Ana' Alata'ala to mpoka'ahi' -a pai' to mpewai' woto-na rapatehi mposampei-a.
20I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, *I*, but Christ lives in me; but [in] that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the [faith] of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.
21Alata'ala mpomonoa' -ta hi poncilo-na ngkai kabula rala-na. Uma-hana lompe' ane tasapuaka kabula rala-na toe. Ane rapa' -na ria mpu'u ohea-ta jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala ngkai petuku' -ta hi Atura Musa, ke uma ria kalaua-na Kristus mate.
21I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness [is] by law, then Christ has died for nothing.
