Romans

9

2Napa to ku'uli' toi, ku'uli' ngkai nono-ku mpu'u. Uma-a boa', apa' aku' toi bagia Kristus. Pai' Inoha' Tomoroli' mposabii' kamakono-na lolita-ku toi. Uma mowo kasusa' nono-ku toi-e! Susa' lia ku'epe pai' peda' ncuu nono-ku, apa' hingka to Yahudi-ku, oja' -ra mepangala' hi Yesus.
1I say [the] truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in [the] Holy Spirit,
3Ane ke ma'ala, ke aku' lau ratotowi pai' ragaa' ngkai Kristus, asala ompi' -ku to Yahudi toera rabahaka ngkai huku' jeko' -ra.
2that I have great grief and uninterrupted pain in my heart,
4Owi to Israel mporata wori' rasi' ngkai Alata'ala, apa' hira' toe tauna to napobagia Alata'ala ngkai owi, napajadi' -ra ana' -na moto. Napopohiloi-ra baraka' -na. Ngkai pojanci Alata'ala hi to Israel owi, ria posidaia' -ra hante Alata'ala. Nawai' -ra Atura-na, natudui' -ra ada mpepue' -ra. Wori' pojanci Alata'ala to lompe' hi to Israel.
3for I have wished, I myself, to be a curse from the Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen, according to flesh;
5Hira' toe muli Abraham, Ishak pai' Yakub, totu'a-ra owi to napelihi Alata'ala. Pai' hi kaputu-na Magau' Topetolo' mewali manusia', putu ngkai muli to Israel wo'o-i-wadi-hawo. Magau' Topetolo' toei meliu kuasa-na ngkai hawe'ea, Hi'a-mi Alata'ala to masipato' ta'une' duu' kahae-hae-na. Amin!
4who are Israelites; whose [is] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the law-giving, and the service, and the promises;
6Tempo toi, kaworia' to Yahudi uma napobagia Alata'ala. Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi: "Alata'ala uma mpo'ihii' janci-na hi to Yahudi." Uma makono lolita toe! Apa' uma hawe'ea muli Israel to napelihi Alata'ala jadi' bagia-na.
5whose [are] the fathers; and of whom, as according to flesh, [is] the Christ, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
7Uma hawe'ea muli Abraham to jadi' ana' Abraham mpu'u. Apa' hewa toi lolita Alata'ala hi Abraham: "Muntu' muli Ishak-wadi to jadi' muli-nu ntuku' janci-ku, bela muli-nu to ntani' -na."
6Not however as though the word of God had failed; for not all [are] Israel which [are] of Israel;
8Batua-na: uma kabua' -bua' tauna to napomuli wotoloka' Abraham to jadi' ana' -ana' Alata'ala. Muntu' tauna to putu ntuku' pojanci Alata'ala-wadi to jadi' ana' -na.
7nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children: but, In Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.
9Ana' Abraham to rahanga' Ishak putu ntuku' pojanci Alata'ala hi Abraham. Alata'ala mpo'uli' -ki Abraham hewa toi: "Tumai-a mpai' mpae boko', pai' Sara tobine-nu mo'ana', mpo'ote hadua ana' tomane."
8That is, [they that are] the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned as seed.
10Pai' uma muntu' toe, hi tutura Esau pai' Yakub monoto tena tahilo beiwa Alata'ala mpopelihi tauna jadi' bagia-na. Esau pai' Yakub toera, ana' to moropa' to na'ote Ribka. Tuama-ra hadua lau-wadi, hanga' -na Ishak, ntu'a-ta owi.
9For this word [is] of promise, According to this time I will come, and there shall be a son to Sarah.
12Nto'u-na Ribka neo' mo'ana' -mi, Alata'ala mpo'uli' -ki: "Ana' ulumua' -nu mpai' mengkoru hi tu'ai-na." Nto'u pololita toe, ana' to rodua toe ko'ia-ra putu, pai' ko'ia-ra mpobabehi napa-napa to lompe' ba to dada'a. Tapi' nto'u toe-mi Alata'ala mpakatantu ami' to'uma to napelihi mporata gane' -na. Patuju Alata'ala mpobabehi hewa toe, bona monoto mpu'u tahilo: ane Alata'ala mpopelihi tauna jadi' bagia-na, uma-ra napelihi sabana po'ingku-ra. Napelihi-rale ngkai kabotu' -na moto-hawo.
10And not only [that], but Rebecca having conceived by one, Isaac our father,
13Hi rala Buku Tomoroli' tabasa Lolita Alata'ala tohe'i: "Muli Yakub to kupelihi, muli Esau uma."
11[the children] indeed being not yet born, or having done anything good or worthless (that the purpose of God according to election might abide, not of works, but of him that calls),
14Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi: "Ane Alata'ala mpopelihi to hadua pai' mpoka'oja' to hadua, uma-i monoa'!" Uma-e' makono lolita toe!
12it was said to her, The greater shall serve the less:
15Kiwoi-dile lolita Alata'ala hi nabi Musa owi to mpo'uli': Aku' moto-kuwo to mpobotuhi hema to kupopohiloi ahi' -ku pai' hema to kupe'ahi'."
13according as it is written, I have loved Jacob, and I have hated Esau.
16Jadi', ane Alata'ala doko' mpopohiloi ahi' -na hi tau hadua, bela konoa manusia' to mpobotuhi toe, bela wo'o pobago manusia'. Alata'ala moto-wadi to mpobotuhi.
14What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? Far be the thought.
17Kiwoi wo'o lolita Alata'ala hi Firaun, magau' tana' Mesir owi, to mpo'uli': "Ku'ongko' -ko jadi' magau' hante hanyala lau-wadi patuju-ku: bona ngkai pesapuaka-nu kupopohiloi kabaraka' -ku, alaa-na mpai' hanga' -ku rapomobohe hi humalili' dunia'."
15For he says to Moses, I will shew mercy to whom I will shew mercy, and I will feel compassion for whom I will feel compassion.
18Jadi', Alata'ala mpopohiloi ahi' -na hi tau hadua, pai' napokatu'a nono to hadua. Nababehi toe ntuku' konoa-na moto.
16So then [it is] not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shews mercy.
19Jadi', bate ria mpai' tauna to mpo'uli' hewa toi: "Ane hewa toe-di, napa-hana pai' Alata'ala mposalai' kehi-ta to dada'a, apa' kehi-ta toe bate ntuku' kabotu' -na ami' -midie!"
17For the scripture says to Pharaoh, For this very thing I have raised thee up from amongst [men], that I might thus shew in thee my power, and so that my name should be declared in all the earth.
20Neo' ta'uli' hewa toe, ompi'! Uma-hawo bela ohea-na ane kita' manusia' mehono' hewa toe hi Alata'ala. Ha natao hameha' kura mpo'uli' -ki tauna to mpobabehi-i hewa toi: "Napa-di-kona pai' nubabehi hewa toi-ae?"
18So then, to whom he will he shews mercy, and whom he will he hardens.
21Ria huraa-na topobabehi mpobabehi kura ntuku' konoa-na moto-hawo. Ngkai haluntea tana' pulu', ma'ala nababehi hameha' kura to napenasa pai' hameha' to uli' kanababehi-na.
19Thou wilt say to me then, Why does he yet find fault? for who resists his purpose?
22Wae wo'o hante Alata'ala: ria kuasa-na mpobabehi napa konoa-na hante kita' manusia'. Kakoo-kono-na, dota moto-i mpokaroe tauna to dada'a pai' mpopohiloi baraka' -na, apa' masipato' lia-ra rahuku' duu' kahae-hae-na. Aga nau' wae, mosabara-i-pidi hi tauna to natao nakaroe toera.
20Aye, but thou, O man, who art *thou* that answerest again to God? Shall the thing formed say to him that has formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
23Nababehi toe bona mpopohiloi ka'uma-na mowo kabohe tuwu' -na hi tauna to napoka'ahi' pai' to napakasadia ami' -mi mporata bagia hi rala kabohe tuwu' -na toe.
21Or has not the potter authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honour, and another to dishonour?
24Kita' toi-mi to nakio' mporata rasi' toe, uma muntu' ngkai olo' to Yahudi-wadi, tapi' ngkai olo' -ra to bela-ra to Yahudi wo'o.
22And if God, minded to shew his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering vessels of wrath fitted for destruction;
25Hi rala sura nabi Hosea, Alata'ala mpo'uli' hewa toi: Tauna to bela-ra topetuku' -ku pai' to uma mpo'incai ahi' -ku, kukio' -ra mpai' jadi' topetuku' -ku pai' kupopohiloi-ra ahi' -ku."
23and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared for glory,
26"Owi Alata'ala mpo'uli' -raka: `Bela-koi bagia-ku.' Tapi' rata mpai' tempo-na tauna toera rapololitai hewa toi: `Napo'ana' mpu'u-mokoi Alata'ala to Tuwu'!'"
24us, whom he has also called, not only from amongst [the] Jews, but also from amongst [the] nations?
27Wae-mi lolita Alata'ala to mpotompo'wiwi-ra to bela-ra to Yahudi. Aga ane tauna to Yahudi-hana, ria lolita nabi Yesaya to lonto' lia to mpotompo'wiwi-ra. Moni-na hewa toi: Tauna to napomuli-ki Israel, wori' lia, hewa kawori' wo'one hi wiwi' tahi'. Aga nau' wae, hangkedi' -wadi mpai' to mporata kalompea'.
25As he says also in Hosea, I will call not-my-people My people; and the-not-beloved Beloved.
28Apa' rata mpai' tempo-na Pue' mpobotuhi kara-kara hawe'ea tauna hi dunia' hante kanoa' -noa' -na, naposipolea mpu'u-mi, uma-pi naderu' -deru' tempo-na."
26And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, *Ye* [are] not my people, there shall they be called Sons of [the] living God.
29Ria wo'o lolita pelowa nabi Yesaya to mpo'uli': Ane rapa' -na Pue' Alata'ala to mobaraka' uma mpetoro-taka ba hangkuja dua pomuli, ke ropu' mpu'u-tamo, hewa pue' ngata Sodom pai' Gomora owi."
27But Esaias cries concerning Israel, Should the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved:
30Jadi', hewa toi lolita-ku: Tauna to bela-ra to Israel, uma-ra mpopali' ohea-ra bona jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala. Aga ria moto-ra hantongo' to jadi' monoa' hi poncilo-na. Alata'ala mpomonoa' -ra hi poncilo-na sabana pepangala' -ra.
28for [he] is bringing the matter to an end, and [cutting [it] short in righteousness; because] a cutting short of the matter will [the] Lord accomplish upon the earth.
31To Israel, mahae-ramo doko' jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala hi petuku' -ra hi Atura Pue' to naparata Musa, tapi' uma oa' raratai to rapali' toe.
29And according as Esaias said before, Unless [the] Lord of hosts had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and made like even as Gomorrha.
32Uma raratai, apa' mpoperaha-ra po'ingku-ra mpotuku' Atura Pue', uma ngkai pepangala' -ra hi Alata'ala. Tewinci' -ra hi watu katewincia'-- batua-na: uma-ra dota mepangala' hi Magau' Topetolo'.
30What then shall we say? That [they of the] nations, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained righteousness, but [the] righteousness that is on the principle of faith.
33Katewinci' -ra toe telowa ami' -mi hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi. Na'uli' Alata'ala hewa toi: Mpu'u-mpu'u ku'uli': Magau' to kutu'u hi Bulu' Sion, kurapai' -ki hameha' watu. Wori' tauna tewinci' hi watu toe, alaa-ra tehopo'. Aga hema-hema to mepangala' hi Hi'a, uma-ra mpai' hala'nawu'."
31But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to [that] law.
32Wherefore? Because [it was] not on the principle of faith, but as of works. They have stumbled at the stumblingstone,
33according as it is written, Behold, I place in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offence: and he that believes on him shall not be ashamed.
