1Hawe'ea tauna to mpangala' Kayesus-na Magau' Topetolo', napo'ana' Alata'ala-ramo. Pai' hawe'ea tauna to mpoka'ahi' Alata'ala to Tuama, bate mpoka'ahi' wo'o-ra hawe'ea ana' Alata'ala.
1Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him.
2Toi-mi pompetonoi-na bona ta'inca katapoka'ahi' -ra tauna to napo'ana' Alata'ala, ane mpoka'ahi' -ta Alata'ala pai' mpotuku' hawa' -na.
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments.
3Apa' ane mpoka'ahi' -ta Alata'ala, batua-na tatuku' -mi hawa' -na. Hiaa' hawa' -na toe, uma-hawo mokoro tatuku'.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.
4Apa' hawe'ea tauna to napo'ana' Alata'ala mpodagi kuasa anudaa' to hi dunia' toi. Tadagi-mi kuasa anudaa' hante pepangala' -ta.
4For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.
5Hema-ra to mpodagi kuasa anudaa' to hi dunia' toi? Muntu' tauna to mpangala' Kayesus-na Ana' Alata'ala.
5Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6Yesus Kristus, Hi'a-mi Ana' Alata'ala to rata hi dunia'. Yohanes Topeniu' mponiu' -i hante ue. Mo'ili raa' -na nto'u kamate-na raparika'. Jadi', monoto-mi Kayesus-na Ana' Alata'ala, uma muntu' ngkai karaniu' -na, tapi' ngkai kamate-na wo'o. Pai' Inoha' Tomoroli' wo'o mpemakono Kayesus-na Ana' Alata'ala, pai' napa to na'uli' Inoha' Tomoroli' toe, bate makono.
6This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
8Jadi', toe-mi ohea-na Alata'ala mpakanoto-taka Kayesus-na Ana' -na: Inoha' Tomoroli' mposabii' Kahi'a-na Ana' Alata'ala. Pai' napa to jadi' hi karaniu' -na pai' hi kamate-na wo'o mpakanoto Kahi'a-na Ana' Alata'ala. To tolu nyala toera hibalia patuju-ra, Kayesus-na Ana' Alata'ala.
7For there are three who testify Only a few recent manuscripts add “in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that testify on earth” :
9Bangku' posabi' manusia' taparasaya, peliu-liu-nami posabi' -na Alata'ala moto. Apa' toe-mi posabi' -na Alata'ala mpotompo'wiwi Ana' -na.
8the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.
10Tauna to mepangala' hi Ana' Alata'ala, ra'inca-mi hi rala nono-ra kamakono-na posabi' Alata'ala toe. Hema to uma mpangala' Alata'ala, mpakiboa' Alata'ala lau-ramo, apa' uma rapangalai' posabi' Alata'ala to mpotompo'wiwi Ana' -na.
9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is God’s testimony which he has testified concerning his Son.
11Toi-mi posabi' -na Alata'ala: nawai' -tamo katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na, pai' katuwua' toe tarata muntu' ngkai Ana' -na.
10He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.
12Hema to mosidai' hante Ana' -na, mporata-ramo katuwua' toe. Hema to uma mosidai' hante Ana' Alata'ala, uma raratai katuwua' toe.
11The testimony is this, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
13Hi koi' to mepangala' hi Ana' Alata'ala ku'uki' sura tohe'i, bona ni'inca mpu'u kamporata-nimi katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na.
12He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.
14Daho' -ta mekakae hi Alata'ala, apa' ta'inca kana'epe-na pomperapia' -ta, asala pomperapia' -ta toe ntuku' konoa-na.
13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
15Pai' ane ta'inca kana'epe-na pomperapia' -ta, ta'inca wo'o katatarima-nami ba napa-napa to taperapi' hi Hi'a.
14This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
16Ane mpohilo-ta hadua ompi' -ta mpobabehi jeko' to uma-hawo mpokeni pehukua' to duu' kahae-hae-na, kana taposampayai-i-hawo, bona Alata'ala mpowai' -i katuwua'. To ku'uli' tohe'i, mpobelahi tauna to mpobabehi jeko' to uma-hawo mpokeni pehukua' to duu' kahae-hae-na. Apa' ria wo'o jeko' to mpokeni pehukua' to duu' kahae-hae-na. Jadi', uma kuhubui-koi mposampayai-ra to mpobabehi jeko' toe.
15And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
17Hawe'ea babehia to dada'a, bate jeko' hanga' -na. Aga ria jeko' to uma-hawo mpokeni pehukua' to duu' kahae-hae-na.
16If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.
18To ta'inca-na: hawe'ea tauna to napo'ana' Alata'ala, uma-rapa mpobabehi jeko', apa' Ana' Alata'ala moto mpojaga-ra pai' Magau' Anudaa' uma mpokulei' mpodagi-ra.
17All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.
19To ta'inca-na: kita' toi napo'ana' Alata'ala-tamo, pai' humalili' dunia' toi nakuasai Magau' Anudaa'.
18We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him.
20To ta'inca-na: rata-imi Ana' Alata'ala hi dunia', pai' nanotohi-mi nono-ta, bona ta'inca-mi Alata'ala to makono. Hintuwu' -tamo hante Alata'ala to makono toei, apa' hintuwu' -tamo hante Yesus Kristus Ana' -na. Hi'a-mi Alata'ala to makono. Ngkai Hi'a-mi tarata katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na.
19We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
21Ana' -ana' -ku, mo'inga' -inga' bona neo' -koi mepue' hi pue' to uma makono.
20We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
