1Sura toi ngkai aku' Paulus, to na'ongko' Alata'ala jadi' suro Kristus Yesus ntuku' konoa-na, pai' ngkai Timotius, ompi' hampepangalaa' -ta, kipakatu tilou hi koi' ompi' -ompi' to mepangala' -mi hi Alata'ala to hi ngata Korintus, duu' -na hi hawe'ea to Kristen to hi propinsi Akhaya.
1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the assembly of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:
2Wori' tabe: mekakae-kai hi Alata'ala Tuama-ta pai' Pue' Yesus Kristus bona nagane' -koi ngkai kabula rala-na pai' nawai' -koi kalompea' tuwu'.
2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3Mai-tamo mpo'une' Alata'ala Tuama-na Pue' -ta Yesus Kristus! Apa' Hi'a-mi Tuama-ta to bohe ahi' -na, Hi'a-mi Alata'ala to mporohoi oa' nono-ta.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;
4Narohoi nono-kai hi rala butu nyala kasusaa' to mporumpa' -kai, bona hante karohoa to kitarima ngkai Hi'a toe, ma'ala wo'o-kai mporohoi nono doo to hi rala kasusaa' ba napa-napa.
4who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5Kaparia to narata-mi Kristus, wori' wo'o to kirata kai'. Aga wori' wo'o-mi karohoa nono to kirata ngkai Kristus.
5For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
6Ane mporata-kai kaparia, napo'ohea Alata'ala bona ma'ala-kai mporohoi nono-ni ompi', bona koi' mporata kalompea', apa' mporata kaparia wo'o-moko-koiwo hewa to kirata kai'. Jadi', ane Alata'ala mporohoi nono-kai hi rala kaparia-kai, bate narohoi wo'o-koiwo nono-ni, bona ntaha-koi hi rala kaparia.
6But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
7Toe pai' uma morara' nono-kai hi koi', ki'inca bate ntaha mpu'u-koi hi rala kaparia. Apa' ki'inca kamporata-ni kaparia hibalia hante kai', pai' Alata'ala bate mporohoi nono-ni hibalia hante kai'.
7Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so also are you of the comfort.
8Ompi' -ompi', bona ni'inca, gaga rahi kasusaa' to mporumpa' -kai wengi hi propinsi Asia. Motomo lia kasusaa' toe, meliu ngkai pakulea' -kai, alaa-na mere' -mi nono-kai, ki'uli' olo' mpobira' -kai tuwu'.
8For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.
9Ki'uli': "Bate mate mpu'u-ta mpai' tohe'i-e." Aga tohe'e majadi' bona neo' -kai ncarumaka karohoa-kai moto, ncarumaka Alata'ala-wadi-kai, apa' Hi'a-mi to mpotuwu' tomate.
9Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,
10Jadi', ompi' -ompi', nabahaka mpu'u-makai ngkai kasusaa' to gaga toe wengi, duu' -na uma-waka-kaiwo mate. Pai' bate nabahaka wo'o-kai mpai' ngkai kasusaa' to majadi' tempo toi-e. Pai' kisarumaka nabahaka-kai ngkai kasusaa' to majadi' hi eo-eo to rata.
10who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;
11Pai' koi' wo'o ompi' kana mpohorongko-kai hante posampaya-ni. Apa' ane wori' tauna mposampayai-kai, Alata'ala bate mpogane' -kai, alaa-na wori' tauna mpo'uli' tarima kasi hi Alata'ala.
11you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed on us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.
12Bohe nono-kai ompi', apa' ki'inca kamoroli' mpontolumanu' -na nono-kai. Monoa' po'ingku-kai hi hawe'ea tauna, peliu-liu-nami po'ingku-kai hi koi'. Hawe'ea to kibabehi, uma ria to kiwunii', monoa' patuju-kai, bate ntuku' konoa Alata'ala. Po'ingku-kai uma ntuku' kapantea manusia', mo'ingku-kai ntuku' petulungi-na Alata'ala hi kai'.
12For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
14Napa to ki'uki' -kokoi, to monoto-na nibasa, ni'inca pai' nipaha-wadi. Ria moto-mokoi hantongo' to mpopaha patuju-kai, aga ria wo'o-pidi to ko'ia mpopaha. Jadi', kusarumaka koi' omea mpai' mpopaha patuju-kai, bona ane rata-ipi mpai' Pue' -ta Pue' Yesus, bohe nono-ni sabana kai', hewa kai' wo'o bohe nono-kai sabana koi'.
13For we write no other things to you, than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end;
16Jadi', apa' ku'uli' ni'inca mpu'u ihi' nono-kue, toe pai' ria patuju-ku wengi mpencuai' -koi rongkani, bona mporata wo'o-koi rasi' rongkani. Patuju-ku wengi, ke tilou ncala' -a mpencuai' -koi hi pomako' -ku tumai hi Makedonia, pai' ane nculii' -apa mpai' ngkai rei, kupehanii wo'o-koi, bona nitulungi-a hi pomakoa' -ku hilou hi Yudea.
14as also you acknowledged us in part, that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
15In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit;
18Uma-e' waetu ompi'! Hewa janci Alata'ala hi kita' monoa', wae wo'o lolita-kai hi koi' ompi' monoa'. Uma ki'uli' hangkani "Io'" hangkani "Uma."
16and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.
19Apa' kai' Silas pai' Timotius, kiparata-kokoi kareba ngkai Yesus Kristus, Ana' Alata'ala. Pai' Yesus Kristus toei, uma mobali' -bali' patuju-na hi kita', hangkani mpo'uli' "Io'" hangkani "Uma." Bate monoa' patuju-na hi kita'.
17When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”
20Apa' uma mowo kawori' janci-na Alata'ala hi kita', pai' hawe'ea janci-na toe bate madupa' omea sabana posidaia' -ta hante Yesus Kristus. Toe pai' ane mpo'une' -ta Alata'ala, ta'uli' -mi: "Amin! Bate wae mpu'u!" apa' bate madupa' mpu'u janci Alata'ala hi kita' sabana Yesus Kristus.
18But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.”
21Alata'ala moto-mi to mporohoi-ta omea, lompe' kai' lompe' koi' ompi', bona mosidai' -ta hante Kristus. Tungkai' napelihi-tamo jadi' bagia-na,
19For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, by me, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.”
22pai' nawai' -ta Inoha' Tomoroli' hewa pompetonoi-na kakita' -nami bagia-na. Inoha' Tomoroli' toei hewa saa' Alata'ala hi rala nono-ta, to mporohoi pojanci-na hi kita', bona monoa' hi kita' kanawai' -ta hawe'ea to najanci-mitaka hi eo mpeno-na.
20For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen,” to the glory of God through us.
23Ompi' -ompi', uma-a boa', Alata'ala sabi' -ku. Na'inca ihi' nono-ku, ka'uma-ku oko tilou hi Korintus wengi apa' uma-a dota karapo' rahi mpoparesai' -koi.
21Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;
24Uma-kai dota mpohawai' ntarurua' -koi, apa' moroho ami' -mi pepangala' -ni hi Kristus. Patuju-kai doko' mobago-kai hangkaa-ngkania hante koi', bona goe' -koi.
22who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
23But I call God for a witness to my soul, that I didn’t come to Corinth to spare you.
24Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.
