1Na'uli' Yesus: "Aku' toi-mi woto kaju to makono, pai' Tuama-ku pue' bonea.
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
2Hawe'ea ra'a to mentaka' hi Aku' to uma mowua', nalali. Pai' hawe'ea ra'a to mentaka' hi Aku' pai' to mowua', napeholui pai' napegalihi, bona kawoo-woria' wua' -na.
2 Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3Koi', tepegalihi-mokoi-- batua-na, moroli' -mokoi napakaroli' lolita to ku'uli' -kokoi.
3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4"Tida-mokoi hintuwu' hante Aku', pai' Aku' wo'o hante koi'. Ra'a to mohepi' ngkai woto kaju, uma-i mowua'. Ra'a bate kana mentaka' hi woto-na bona mowua' -i. Wae wo'o koi': Sampale-koi mowua' ane tida-koi hintuwu' hante Aku'.
4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
5"Aku' toi-mi woto kaju, pai' koi' -mi ra'a-na. Tauna to tida hintuwu' hante Aku' pai' Aku' hante hira', wori' powua' -ra. Aga ane mogaa' -koi ngkai Aku', uma-koi bisa mpobabehi napa-napa.
5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6Hema to uma tida hintuwu' hante Aku' bate ratadi, hewa karatadi-na ra'a to mohepi' duu' -na jadi' bangi. Ra'a to hewa toe, rarumpu pai' ratene' hi rala apu.
6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7Ane tida-koi hintuwu' hante Aku' pai' lolita-ku tida hi rala nono-ni, perapi' -mi-hana hi Alata'ala ba napa-napa konoa-ni, bate nawai' -koile.
7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
8Ane mowua' wori' -koi, Tuama-ku rapomobohe. Ane hewa toe-mi po'ingku-ni, topetuku' -ku mpu'u-mokoi.
8 “In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
9Hewa Tuama-ku mpoka'ahi' -a, wae wo'o Aku' mpoka'ahi' -koi. Tida-mokoi mohu' hi Aku' bona nirasai ahi' -ku.
9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
10Ane nituku' -mi hawa' -ku, tida mpu'u-koi mohu' hi Aku' pai' nirasai mpu'u ahi' -ku, hewa Aku' wo'o mpotuku' hawa' Tuama-ku pai' -a tida mohu' hi Hi'a pai' mporasai ahi' -na.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.
11"Hawe'ea tohe'i ku'uli' -kokoi, bona goe' nono-ni hante kagoea' to ngkai Aku', pai' bona gana kagoea' -ni.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
12"Toi-mi hawa' -ku: Momepoka'ahi' -mokoi, hewa Aku' wo'o mpoka'ahi' -koi.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
13Ane ria tauna to mpewai' tuwu' -na bona doo-na tuwu', bohe mpu'u ahi' -na toe. Uma ria ahi' to meliu ngkai ahi' tauna to mpewai' tuwu' -na bona mpotulungi doo-na.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
14Doo-ku omea-mokoi, ane nituku' hawa' -ku.
14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
15Uma-pokoi kukahangai' batua-ku, apa' batua uma mpo'incai napa to hi rala nono pue' -na. Wae-e lau, doo-ku mpu'u-mokoi, apa' ku'uli' -mikokoi hawe'ea to na'uli' -ka Tuama-ku.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
16Bela koi' to mpopelihi-a. Aku' -dile to mpelihi-koie. Kuwai' -koi bago hilou hi rala dunia' bona mowua' wori'. Pai' powua' -ni toe uma mpai' moronto, ria kalaua-na duu' kahae-hae-na. Jadi', napa to niperapi' hi Tuama-ku hante hanga' -ku, bate nawai' -koi.
16 You didn’t choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
17Toi-mi hawa' -ku hi koi': Momepoka'ahi' -mokoi!
17 “I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
18"Ane tauna to uma mepangala' hi Aku' mpokahuku' -koi, kiwoi: Aku' -mi-hana to ri'ulu rapokahuku' -e.
18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
19Ane rapa' -na hampodooa-koi hante tauna to uma mepangala', bate rapoka'ahi' -koi, apa' lawi' doo-rakoi. Tapi' kupelihi-mokoi pai' kupatani' -koi ngkai laintongo' -ra, alaa-na uma-pokoi doo-ra. Toe pai' rapokahuku' -koi.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20Kiwoi napa to ku'uli' -kokoi we'i: Hadua batua uma meliu tuwu' -na ngkai maradika-na. Ane ntoa' Aku' rabalinai', koi' wo'o mpai' rabalinai'. Ane ria to mpotuku' lolita-ku, bate ratuku' wo'o mpai' lolita-ni.
20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21Hawe'ea tohe'e rababehi hi koi' apa' topetuku' -ku-koi. Hawe'ea tohe'e rababehi hi koi', apa' uma-i ra'incai Alata'ala to mposuro-a.
21 But all these things will they do to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.
22Ane ke uma-a tumai mpololitai-ra, ke uma-ra-hawo masala'. Tapi', apa' tumai mpu'u-ama mpololitai-rae, toe pai' uma ria wuniia' -na sala' -ra.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23Tauna to mpokahuku' -a, mpokahuku' wo'o-ra Tuama-ku.
23 He who hates me, hates my Father also.
24"Hi laintongo' ntodea kubabehi anu mekoncehi, to ko'ia ria rababehi tau ntani' -na. Ane ke uma kubabehi hewa toe, ke uma-ra masala'. Tapi' rahilo moto-mi napa to kubabehi, pai' rapokahuku' oa' -a, pai' rapokahuku' wo'o-i Tuama-ku.
24 If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now have they seen and also hated both me and my Father.
25Aga bate kana hewa toe, bona madupa' lolita to te'uki' hi rala Buku Atura-ra to mpo'uli': 'Rapokahuku' -a nau' uma ria sabana.'
25 But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’
26"Tumai-i mpai' Inoha' Tomoroli', batua-na, Inoha' to mehuwu ngkai Alata'ala pai' to mpotete' -koi hi tudui' to makono. Hi'a-mi mpai' Topetulungi to kuhubui tumai hi koi' ngkai Tuama-ku. Ane tumai-ipi mpai', Hi'a-mi to jadi' sabi' -ku.
26 “When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
27Pai' koi' wo'o jadi' sabi' -ku, apa' koi' -mi to dohe-ku ngkai pontepu'ua bago-ku hi dunia'.
27 You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
