1Tapi' Yesus hilou hi Bulu' Zaitun.
1but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2Kampeneo-na mepupulo ngkii, hilou wo'o-imi hi Tomi Alata'ala. Tumai-ramo ntodea mpomohui' -i, pai' mohura-imi mpotudui' -ra.
2Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.
3Bula-na metudui' toe, rata-ramo guru agama hante to Parisi, mpokeni hadua tobine to rarata bula-na mobualo', rapopokore-i hi laintongo' ntodea.
3The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst,
4Ra'uli' mpo'uli' -ki Yesus: "Guru, tobine tetui rarata kongko bula-na mobualo'!
4they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
5Hi rala Atura Musa, ria parenta to mpo'uli': tobine to mogau' hewa toe kana rapana' watu duu' -na mate. Jadi' Iko, beiwa-kowo pobotuhi-nu?"
5Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such. Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 22:22 What then do you say about her?”
6Patuju pompekunea' -ra toe, mpali' kedo', bona ma'ala-ra mposalai' Yesus. Tapi' Yesus, uma-i winihi. Motungka' -i-wadi mo'uki' hi tana' hante karawe-na.
6They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
7Ka'omea-na, apa' rajojo mpekune' -i, mebago' -imi pai' na'uli' -raka: "Hema-koi to uma ria jeko' -ni, hi'a-mi to lomo' -na mpopana' tobine toei!"
7But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”
8Oti toe, motungka' wo'o-imi, pai' -i mo'uki' tena hi tana' hante karawe-na.
8Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
9Kara'epe-na pangkeni to Yahudi lolita Yesus tohe'e, pengkawusili-rami hadua hadua, ntepu'u ngkai totu'a duu' rata hi to mongura. Ka'omea-na, malai omea-ramo, muntu' Yesus-damo to hi ree hante tobine toei hi laintongo' ntodea.
9They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
10Ngkai ree, mebago' -imi Yesus pai' mpo'uli' -ki tobine toei: "Hiapa-ramo we'i to mpakilu-koe? Ha uma-rapa ria to doko' mpohuku' -koe?"
10Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”
11Natompoi' tobine toei: "Uma-pi hema, Pue'." Na'uli' Yesus: "Aku' wo'o uma mpohuku' -ko. Wae-pi, hilou-moko, pai' nubahakai-mi mpobabehi jeko'."))
11She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”
12Oti toe, mololita wo'o-imi Yesus hi to Yahudi, na'uli': "Aku' toi-mi baja to mpobajahi nono manusia'. Tauna to mpotuku' -a, uma-ra momako' hi rala kabengia-na. Mporata-ra baja to mpowai' katuwua'."
12Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Isaiah 60:1 He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
13Ra'uli' to Parisi: "Uma-le makono lolita-nue, apa' mpo'une' woto-nu moto-moko-kona."
13The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”
14Na'uli' Yesus: "Nau' mpotompo'wiwi woto-ku moto-ale, makono oa' lolita-ku, apa' ku'inca kangkaiapa-ku, pai' ku'inca hiapa kahilouaa-ku. Aga koi', uma ni'incai.
14Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.
15Koi' mpohurai kara-kara ntuku' pekiri manusia'. Aku', uma-a mpohurai kara-kara hema-hema.
15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
16Ane rapa' -na mpohurai-a kara-kara tauna, pobotuhi-ku bate monoa', apa' uma hadudua-ku. Tuama-ku to mposuro-a, Hi'a-mi doo-ku.
16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
17"Hi rala Buku Atura-ni moto te'uki' hewa tohe'i: 'Ane ria nte rodua sabi' to hibalia lolita-ra, posabi' -ra toe ma'ala rapangala'.'
17 It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid. Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15
18Ria-mi rodua sabi' -ku: Aku' moto-mi hadua, pai' karodua-na Tuama-ku to mposuro-a."
18 I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”
19Ra'uli' to Parisi: "Ha hiapa-i tuama-nue?" Na'uli' Yesus: "Apa' uma ni'incai-a, toe pai' uma wo'o ni'incai Tuama-ku. Ane ke ni'inca mpu'u-a, tantu ni'inca wo'o-i Tuama-ku."
19They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
20Hawe'ea toe na'uli' Yesus bula-na metudui' hi rala Tomi Alata'ala, mohu' peti' pompunaa' doi pepue'. Ko'ia oa' -i rahoko', apa' ko'ia rata tempo-na.
20Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21Na'uli' wo'o-mi Yesus hi topoparenta to Yahudi: "Hilou-a mpai', pai' nipali' -a, aga mate-koi mpai' ntali jeko' -ni-pidi. Hi kahilouaa-ku uma-koi bisa hilou."
21Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”
22Mpo'epe toe, momepololitai-ramo topoparenta to Yahudi, ra'uli': "Napa batua-na lolita-na toe-e we'i? Ba doko' mengkahunca' -idi, pai' na'uli' uma-ta bisa hilou hi kahilouaa-nae."
22The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, that he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come?’ ”
23Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Koi' -le ngkai kadingkia' -na, Aku' ngkai kalangkoa-na. Koi' ngkai dunia' toi, Aku' uma-a ngkai dunia' toi.
23He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
24Toe pai' ku'uli' -kokoi, mate-koi mpai' ntali jeko' -ni. Apa' ane uma nipangala' lolita-ku to mpo'uli' kahema-ku, bate mate mpu'u-koi ntali jeko' -ni."
24 I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am or, I AM he, you will die in your sins.”
25Rapekune' -i: "Ha hema mpu'u-ko-kowo Iko-e?" Na'uli' Yesus: "Napa-pi kalaua-na mpololitai-koi!
25They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26Wori' -pidile ke to ku'uli' mposalai' -koie. Tapi' Hi'a to mposuro-a, masipato' lia-i rapangala', pai' napa to ku'epe ngkai Hi'a, toe-mi to kuparata hi koi' to hi dunia'."
26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”
27To na'uli' Yesus tohe'e, mpotompo'wiwi Tuama-na, tapi' uma ra'incai batua-na.
27They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
28Toe pai' na'uli' tena-raka: "Ane nipokalangko-apa mpai', Aku' Ana' Manusia', lako' ni'inca-di ka'Aku' -nami. Uma ria hanyalaa to kubabehi ntuku' konoa-ku moto. Muntu' mpo'uli' -a napa to natudui' -ka Tuama-ku.
28Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.
29Hi'a-mi to mposuro-a, pai' nadohei oa' -a. Uma-a napelele' hadudua-ku, apa' kubabehi oa' napa to mpakagoe' nono-na."
29 He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
30Ka'oti-na Yesus mpo'uli' hawe'ea toe, wori' tauna mepangala' hi Hi'a.
30As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
31Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka to Yahudi to mepangala' hi Hi'a: "Ane tida-koi mpotuku' tudui' -ku, koi' jadi' topetuku' -ku mpu'u.
31Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32Pai' ane topetuku' -ku mpu'u-mokoi, ni'inca mpu'u mpai' tudui' to makono, alaa-na tebahaka-mokoi."
32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Psalm 119:45
33Hampetompoi' -ra: "Kai' toi-le, muli Abraham! Uma-ka-kaina ria rapobatua. Napa-di pai' nu'uli' tebahaka-kai mpai'?"
33They answered him, “We are Abraham’s seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free?’ ”
34Na'uli' Yesus: "Makono mpu'u lolita-ku toi: hawe'ea tauna to mpobabehi jeko', napobatua jeko' -ramo.
34Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.
35Ane batua, uma monoa' katida-na hi tomi maradika-na. Aga ane ana' maradika moto-hana, monoa' katida-na hi tomi tuama-na.
35 A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.
36Jadi', ane Aku' mpobahaka-koi ngkai jeko' -ni, tebahaka mpu'u-mokoi, apa' Aku' Ana' Alata'ala-a.
36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
37Ku'inca moto-le kamuli-na Abraham-koie. Aga ria-koi to doko' mpatehi-a, apa' uma nipoinono lolita-ku.
37 I know that you are Abraham’s seed, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
38Napa to kuhilo hi Tuama-ku, tetu-mi to ku'uli' -kokoi. Hiaa' koi' -koina mpobabehi napa to natudui' -kokoi tuama-ni."
38 I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”
39Ra'uli' to Yahudi: "Tuama-kaile, Abraham!" Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane muli Abraham mpu'u-koi, tantu nituku' po'ingku-na.
39They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.
40Kuparata-kokoi tudui' to makono to kutarima ngkai Alata'ala, hiaa' doko' nipatehi lau-ada! Uma hewa po'ingku-ni tetu po'ingku-na Abraham.
40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.
41Po'ingku-ni tetu bate mpotuku' po'ingku tuama-ni!" Hampetompoi' to Yahudi: "Aga kai' -le, bela-kai ana' una! Tuama-kai hadua lau-wadi, Hi'a-mi Alata'ala."
41 You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”
42Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane bongko Alata'ala mpu'u Tuama-ni, ke nipoka'ahi' -a, apa' Aku' ngkai Alata'ala-a, pai' ohe'i-ama naposuro. Uma-a tumai ntuku' konoa-ku moto. Tumai-a ntuku' konoa-na Alata'ala, apa' Hi'a to mposuro-a.
42Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.
43Uma ami' ni'incai batua-na lolita-ku, apa' uma-koi ntaha mpo'epe tudui' -ku.
43 Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.
44Magau' Anudaa' -hanale tuama-nie! Pai' doko' oa' -koi mpotuku' konoa tuama-ni tetu. Ngkai lomo' -na, topepatehi ami' -imi. Uma-i ria mpo'uli' napa to makono, apa' uma ria napa-napa to makono hi hi'a. Ane moboa' -i, gati-nami-hana, apa' topoboa' ami' -i, pai' hawe'ea tauna to moboa' mpo'uhi kehi-na.
44 You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.
45Jadi', toe pai' uma-a nipangala', apa' mpo'uli' to makono-a-kuna.
45 But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.
46Hema-koi to ma'ala mpotudo' karia jeko' -ku? Ane mpo'uli' -a anu makono, napa-di pai' uma-a nipangala' -e?
46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
47Tauna to napo'ana' Alata'ala doko' mpo'epe Lolita Alata'ala. Tapi' koi', uma-koi dota mpo'epe lolita-ku, apa' bela-koi ana' Alata'ala."
47 He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”
48To Yahudi mporuge' -i Yesus, ra'uli': "To Samaria-ko! Wuli-ko, hewa to ki'uli' ami' -mi!"
48Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
49Na'uli' Yesus: "Uma-a wuli. Aku' mpobila' Tuama-ku. Hiaa' koi', uma nibila' -a.
49Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
50Uma-a mpope'une'. Alata'ala-damo to mpobila' -a, pai' Hi'a to mpobotuhi kamakono-ku ba ka'uma-na.
50 But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
51Makono mpu'u lolita-ku toi: Hema to mpotuku' lolita-ku, uma-ra mate, tuwu' -ra duu' kahae-hae-na."
51 Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”
52Ra'uli' to Yahudi: "Wae lau ki'inca mpu'u-mi kawuli-nu! Bangku' Abraham-hawoe', mate moto-i. Wae wo'o hawe'ea nabi owi, mate moto-ra. Hiaa' nu'uli' -kona, hema to mpotuku' lolita-nu uma-ra mate.
52Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’
53Ha nu'uli' -kona meliu tuwu' -nu ngkai ntu'a-ta Abraham, to mahae-imi mate? Ha meliu tuwu' -nu ngkai hawe'ea nabi to mate-ramo? Nu'uli' hema rahi-dakoe?"
53Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”
54Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane rapa' -na mpakalangko woto-ku moto-a, uma ntoto ria kalaua-na. Tapi' Tuama-kumi to mpakalangko-a. Ni'uli' -koina Kahi'a-na Alata'ala to nipue'.
54Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.
55Tapi' kakoo-kono-na uma-i ni'incai. Ane Aku', ku'inca-i. Ane rapa' -na ku'uli' uma-i ku'incai, boa' -ama hewa koi'. Apa' ku'inca mpu'u-i, pai' kutuku' lolita-na.
55 You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.
56Ane ntu'a-ni Abraham, goe' -i apa' na'inca kanahilo-na mpai' eo karataa-ku. Jadi' hewa toe lau, nahilo-mi karataa-ku pai' goe' lia-imi."
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad.”
57Ra'uli' to Yahudi: "Umuru-nule, ko'ia hono' lima mpulu' mpae. Ha pasi' nuhilo-imi-kona Abraham-e?"
57The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”
58Na'uli' Yesus: "Makono mpu'u lolita-ku toi: Kako'ia-na putu Abraham, Aku' toi, mpolia' ria-ama!"
58Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM. or, I am ”
59Kara'epe-na to Yahudi toe we'i, ntima' watu-ramo doko' rawatuhi-ki bona mate-imi. Ntaa' we'i, mengkawusili-imi Yesus ngkai Tomi Alata'ala.
59Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.
