1Rala-na hangkani, metudui' wo'o-imi Yesus hi wiwi' rano. Wori' lia tauna morumpu mpotololiki-i. Ngkai kawori' tauna, toe-mi pai' hilou-i mohawi' sakaya to hi lolo ue, mohura-i hi rala-na pai' tauna to wori' mokore hi talinti.
1Again he began to teach by the seaside. A great multitude was gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. All the multitude were on the land by the sea.
2Wori' nyala to natudui' -raka hante lolita rapa'. Hewa tohe'i na'uli' -raka:
2He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,
3"Pe'epei! Ria hadua topohawu' hilou mohawu'.
3 “Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,
4Rala mpohawu' -na toe, ria hawua' -na to monawu' hi mata ohea. Rata danci mpotilo' hawua' toe duu' -na oti.
4 and it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds TR adds “of the air” came and devoured it.
5Ria wo'o to monawu' hi tana' to watua, hangkedi' -wadi tana' -na. Hinawu' -na toe sohi' lia tuwu', apa' moreni' tana' -na.
5 Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil.
6Kamorani' -na eo, molaju-imi duu' -na bangi, apa' uma monala rali' -na.
6 When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7Ria wo'o to monawu' hi laintongo' rui. Tuwu' rui mpo'upi' hinawu' toe, alaa-na uma-i mowua', mate lau-idi.
7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
8Ria wo'o hawua' to monawu' hi tana' to morudu'. Tuwu' lompe' hawua' toe kakaa-kamaa, alaa-na mowua'. Ria to nte tolu mpulu' ngkani ngkai hinawu' -na, ria to ono mpulu', ria wo'o to ha'atu ngkani ngkai hinawu' -na."
8 Others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some brought forth thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much.”
9Ka'oti-na mpololita lolita rapa' toe, na'uli' -miraka: "Hema-koi to tilingaa, pe'epei lompe'!"
9He said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10Oti toe, nto'u-na Yesus hadudua-na, ana'guru-na to hampulu' rodua pai' topetuku' -na to ntani' -na tumai mpekune' -i: "Napa-die batua-na lolita rapa' toe-e we'i?"
10When he was alone, those who were around him with the twelve asked him about the parables.
11Na'uli' Yesus: "Owi, Alata'ala ko'ia mpopo'incai manusia' beiwa-i mpai' jadi' Magau' hi dunia'. Aga hewa toe lau, napopo'incai-mokoi tudui' toe. Tapi' ane tauna to bela topetuku' -ku, kutudui' -ra hante lolita rapa',
11He said to them, “To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,
12bona madupa' -mi lolita Buku Tomoroli' to mpo'uli': `Pe'epe moto-ra, aga uma oa' ra'incai batua-na. Pehilo moto-ra, aga hewa to uma oa' monoto rahiloi. Jadi', uma oa' -ra nculii' hi Alata'ala, pai' jeko' -ra uma te'ampungi.'"
12 that ‘seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.’” Isaiah 6:9-10
13Oti toe, Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Ane uma ni'incai batua lolita rapa' toe we'i, beiwa kani'inca-na batua lolita rapa' to ntani' -na?
13He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables?
14Topohawu', hira' -mi tauna to mpoparata Lolita Alata'ala.
14 The farmer sows the word.
15Ria tauna to ma'ala rarapai' -ki hawua' to monawu' hi mata ohea. Ra'epe moto Lolita Alata'ala, aga Magau' Anudaa' mpohilingai' nono-ra, alaa-na uma-pi rapoinono lolita toe.
15 The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them.
16"Ria wo'o tauna to ma'ala rarapai' -ki hawua' to monawu' hi tana' to watua. Kara'epe-na Lolita Alata'ala, ncaliu goe' nono-ra.
16 These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.
17Aga uma morali' mpu'u Lolita Alata'ala hi rala nono-ra, toe pai' uma-ra ntaha mahae. Ane rabalinai' -ra ba rapakasusa' sabana pepangala' -ra hi Lolita Alata'ala, kamo'ungkere' -rami.
17 They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.
18"Ria wo'o tauna to rarapai' -ki hawua' to monawu' hi olo' rui. Ra'epe moto Lolita Alata'ala,
18 Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word,
19aga sese' -ra ntora mpenonoi katuwu' -ra hi rala dunia' toi, doko' -ra mporumpu rewa dunia' -wadi, pai' wori' nyala kahinaa hi rala nono-ra. Hawe'ea toe mposesei' -ra, alaa-na uma ria po'ohaa' Lolita Alata'ala hi rala nono-ra, pai' uma ria kalaua-na lolita toe hi katuwu' -ra.
19 and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
20"Ria wo'o tauna to rarapai' -ki hawua' to monawu' hi tana' to morudu'. Mpo'epe-ra Lolita Alata'ala, kaliliu ratarima. Hi tauna toe-ramo Lolita Alata'ala mowua' mpu'u. Ria to mowua' hangkedi', ria to mowua' wori', ria to mowua' wori' lia."
20 Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”
21Na'uli' wo'o-mi Yesus: "Ha ria-ta to mpokeni palita hi rala tomi pai' tapopoi' hante kura ba tatu'u hi une' poturua? Tantu uma-hawo ria. Palita bate ratu'u hi pontu'ua-na bona nahinii hobo'.
21He said to them, “Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket literally, a modion, a dry measuring basket containing about a peck (about 9 litres) or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?
22Apa' hawe'ea to tewuni kana rapopehuwu, pai' hawe'ea to kalerua kana jadi' kahiloa.
22 For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.
23Hema-koi to tilingaa, pe'epei lompe'!"
23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”
24Na'uli' tena Yesus: "Penotohi mpu'u-koi napa to ni'epe tohe'i-e. Apa' kawoo-woria' Lolita Alata'ala to nibagi-ki doo, kawoo-woria' wo'o to nanotohi-kokoi Alata'ala-- ba melabi tena-pi ngkai ree.
24He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.
25Tauna to mpotarima Lolita Alata'ala, ranotohi nono-ra bona kawoo-woria' to ra'inca. Aga tauna to uma dota mpotarima Lolita Alata'ala, nau' ria hangkedi' to ra'inca, ra'alai' lau-ra."
25 For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.”
26Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia', kajadi' -na hewa lolita rapa' tohe'i: Hadua tauna mpotujai' bonea-na.
26He said, “The Kingdom of God is as if a man should cast seed on the earth,
27Hi bengi-na turu-i, hi eo-na memata-i. Kahae-na toe, tinuja' -na tuwu' kaboo-bohea. Aga beiwa tinuja' -na tuwu' pai' jadi' bohe, uma-hawo na'incai.
27 and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he doesn’t know how.
28Ngkai tana' moto-hawo pehupaa' wua' -na. Lomo' -na rau-na pai' kaho-na to mehupa', ngkai ree huwu-mi, duu' -na mo'ihi.
28 For the earth bears fruit: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29Kataha' -na pae, hilou-imi pue' -na ngkeni are' nasoe-ki, apa' tempo-nami mepae."
29 But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
30Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia', beiwa kajadi' -na? Kajadi' -nale hewa lolita rapa' tohe'i:
30He said, “How will we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what parable will we illustrate it?
31Ria tauna to mpohawu' unto' hawi hi tana'.
31 It’s like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth,
32Unto' toe monete' lia, meliu kakedi' -na ngkai hawe'ea unto' to ria hi dunia'. Aga ane rahawu' -i-damo pai' -i tuwu', meliu kabohe-na ngkai ngkojo to ntani' -na. Ra'a-na mopanga molanga, duu' -na rapopetai danci pai' rapengkamoui."
32 yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.”
33Wae-mi Yesus mpoparata Lolita Alata'ala hi ntodea hante wori' nyala lolita rapa', ntuku' pakulea' -ra mpopaha.
33With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it.
34Uma ria to natudui' -raka ane uma hante lolita rapa'. Aga ane Hi'a-damo pai' ana'guru-na, nanotohi-miraka omea.
34Without a parable he didn’t speak to them; but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.
35Ncimonou' toe wo'o, Yesus mpo'uli' -raka ana'guru-na: "Hilou-tamo hi dipo rano."
35On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”
36Jadi', apa' hi rala sakaya ami' -imi Yesus, pe'ongko' -rami mpalahii ntodea to hi wiwi' rano. Ria wo'o sakaya ntani' -na hi ree to mpotuku' -ra.
36Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him.
37Ko'ia mahae, rata-mi ngolu' bohe. Ntepu'u-mi balumpa mporumpa' sakaya-ra, alaa-na neo' ponu' -mi sakaya-ra hante ue.
37A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled.
38Yesus leta' moto-i molunai hi wuntu sakaya. Kahilou-rami ana'guru-na mpolike-i, ra'uli' -ki: "Guru! Napa-di pai' nupelele' moto-ta neo' matala-tamoe?"
38He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”
39Pemata-nami Yesus pai' -i mpotagi ngolu' pai' balumpa, na'uli': "Mento'o-ko ngolu'! Rodo-moko balumpa!" Mento'o mpu'u-mi-hawo ngolu', pai' muu-mule' molino nculii' -mi rano.
39He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40Na'uli' -mi Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Napa pai' me'eka' rahi-koie? Ha uma ria pepangala' -nie?"
40He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”
41Me'eka' lia-ramo ana'guru-na, pai' momepololitai-ramo, ra'uli': "Hema mpu'u-idi-hana tau toii-e? Ngolu' pai' rano molino-di-hana ntuku' hawa' -na!"
41They were greatly afraid, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
