13

1Hi eo toe wo'o, malai-imi Yesus ngkai tomi toe hilou hi wiwi' rano, pai' -i mohura.
1On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.
2Wori' lia tauna morumpu mpotololiki-i, toe pai' hilou-imi mpohawi' sakaya, mohura hi rala-na, pai' tauna to wori' mokore hi talinti.
2Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.
3Wori' nyala lolita rapa' natudui' -raka, na'uli': "Ria hadua topohawu' hilou mohawu'.
3He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow.
4Rala mpohawu' -na toe, ria hawua' -na to monawu' hi mata ohea. Rata danci mpotilo' hawua' toe duu' -na oti.
4 As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.
5Ria wo'o to monawu' hi tana' to watua, hangkedi' -wadi tana' -na. Hinawu' -na toe sohi' lia tuwu', apa' moreni' tana' -na.
5 Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.
6Kamorani' -na eo, molaju-imi duu' -na bangi, apa' uma monala rali' -na.
6 When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.
7Ria wo'o to monawu' hi laintongo' rui. Tuwu' rui mpo'upi' hinawu' toe, alaa-na mate.
7 Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them.
8Ria wo'o hawua' to monawu' hi tana' to morudu'. Mowua' hawua' toe, ria to ha'atu ngkani ngkai hinawu' -na, ria to ono mpulu', ria to tolu mpulu'.
8 Others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.
9Hema-koi to tilingaa, pe'epei lompe'!"
9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10Tumai-ramo ana'guru-na mpomohui' -i, pai' -ra mepekune', ra'uli': "Guru, napa pai' mpake' lolita rapa' -ko ane mpotudui' ntodea-e?"
10The disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
11Na'uli' Yesus: "Owi, Alata'ala ko'ia mpopo'incai manusia' beiwa-i mpai' jadi' Magau' hi dunia'. Aga hewa toe lau, napopo'incai-mokoi tudui' toe. Tapi' ane ntodea-hana, uma napiliu-ra omea mpo'inca tudui' toe. Toe pai' kuwalatu-raka hante lolita rapa'.
11He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.
12Tauna to mpotarima Lolita Alata'ala, ranotohi nono-ra bona kawoo-woria' Lolita Alata'ala to ra'inca. Aga tauna to uma dota mpotarima Lolita Alata'ala, nau' ria hangkedi' to ra'inca, ra'alai' lau-ra.
12 For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.
13Toe pai' mololita hante lolita rapa' -ae ane mpololitai-a ntodea, apa' tilingaa moto-ra aga uma ra'incai batua-na to ra'epe. Mataa moto-ra aga uma ra'incai batua-na to rahilo.
13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.
14Ngkai toe, madupa' -mi Lolita Alata'ala to napohowa' nabi Yesaya owi. Hewa toi moni-na: `Pe'epe moto-ra, aga uma oa' ra'incai batua-na. Pehilo moto-ra, aga hewa to uma oa' rahiloi mpu'u.
14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:
15Apa' moko'o nono-ra, mengkawongo-ra pai' mengkawero-ra: oja' -ra pehilo hante mata-ra, oja' -ra pe'epe hante tilinga-ra, oja' -ra ranotohi nono-ra. Toe pai' uma-ra mpai' nculii' hi Aku', pai' uma-ra kuwai' kalompea'.'"
15 for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and should turn again; and I would heal them.’
16Na'uli' wo'o-mi Yesus mpo'uli' -raka ana'guru-na: "Aga koi', uma mowo kamarasi' -ni, apa' nihilo-mi-koina napa to kubabehi, pai' ni'epe-mi-koina tudui' -ku.
16 “But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
17Mpu'u-mpu'u ku'uli' -kokoi: wori' nabi pai' tauna to monoa' owi to doko' mpohilo napa to nihilo koi' toi, aga uma-rana rahiloi. Doko' lia-ra mpo'epe napa to ni'epe-mi koi', aga uma-rana ra'epei.
17 For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.
18"Pe'epei, ku'uli' -kokoi napa batua-na lolita rapa' topohawu' toe we'i.
18 “Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.
19Hawua' to monawu' hi mata ohea mpobatuai tauna to mpo'epe moto kareba to mpo'uli' beiwa Alata'ala jadi' Magau', aga uma rapoinono. Rata anudaa' mpohagoi-ra lolita toe ngkai rala nono-ra.
19 When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.
20"Hawua' to monawu' hi tana' to watua-hawo mpobatuai tauna to mpo'epe Kareba Lompe', ncaliu goe' nono-ra mpo'epe.
20 What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;
21Aga uma moroho pepangala' -ra, toe pai' uma-ra ntaha mahae. Ane rabalinai' -ra ba rapakasusa' sabana pepangala' -ra hi Kareba Lompe' toe, kamo'ungkere' -rami.
21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
22"Hawua' to monawu' hi olo' rui-hawo mpobatuai tauna to mpo'epe Lolita Alata'ala, aga sese' -ra ntora mpenonoi katuwu' -ra hi rala dunia' -wadi, pai' doko' -ra mporumpu rewa dunia' -wadi. Hawe'ea toe mposesei' -ra, alaa-na uma ria po'ohaa' Lolita Alata'ala hi rala nono-ra, pai' uma ria kalaua-na Lolita toe hi katuwu' -ra.
22 What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
23"Hawua' to monawu' hi tana' to morudu' -hawo mpobatuai tauna to mpo'epe Lolita Alata'ala pai' rapoinono mpu'u. Hi tauna toe-ramo Lolita Alata'ala mowua' mpu'u. Ria to mowua' hangkedi', ria to mowua' wori', ria to mowua' wori' lia."
23 What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.”
24Yesus mpololita hanyala-pi lolita rapa' hi ntodea, na'uli': "Ane Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia', kajadi' -na hewa jarita toi: Hadua topobonea hilou mpohawu' hinawu' to lompe' hi bonea-na.
24He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,
25Rala-na hamengi bula tauna leta', rata bali' -na topobonea toei, mpohawui' bonea toe hante wua' kowo' to neo' hibalia pae poraui-na, pai' -i malai.
25 but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away.
26Tuwu' mpu'u-mi pae toe duu' -na huwu, incana wo'o-mi-hawo kowo' hi olo' pae.
26 But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.
27Rata-ramo to ngkoni' gaji' mpo'uli' -ki topobonea toei: `Tuama, hawua' to lompe' moto-di to tahawu' -e. Ngkaiapa-di kowo' toe-e ria?'
27 The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?’
28"Na'uli' pue' bonea toei: `Tetu-le pobago bali' -ta.' "Ngkai ree, ra'uli' wo'o-mi to ngkoni' gaji' toera: `Ane nupokono, hilou kiwuka kowo' toe ria!'
28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’
29"Na'uli' pue' bonea: `Neo', apa' ane niwuka kowo' -na, nipoiwukai mpai' pae-na.
29 “But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.
30Pelele' moto-mi kowo' tuwu' hangkaa-ngkania hante pae, duu' -na tempo mepae. Kuhubui-ra-damo topepae mpowuka ulu kowo', rarumpu, ratomo' pai' rasuwe. Oti toe, pai' lako' rapalimpuru-di pae-e, pai' ratimamahi hi rala wilulu-ku.'"
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
31Oti toe Yesus mpo'uli' tena hanyala-pi lolita rapa' hi ntodea, na'uli': "Ane Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia', kajadi' -na hewa jarita toi: Ria hadua tauna ngala' unto' hawi, lou nahawu' hi pampa-na.
31He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field;
32Unto' toe monete' lia, meliu kakedi' -na ngkai unto' to ntani' -na. Aga ane tuwu' -i-damo, meliu-mi kabohe-na ngkai ngkojo to ntani' -na. Tuwu' -i hewa hangkaju kaju, alaa-na rata danci mpobabehi peta-ra hi ra'a-na."
32 which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”
33Ria-pi hanyala lolita rapa' to na'uli' hi ntodea. Na'uli': "Ane Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia', kajadi' -na hewa toi: Hadua tobine mpo'ala' ragi hangkedi', nagalo hante lunu to wori'. Mahae-hae, woke' -mi omea."
33He spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.”
34Yesus mpotudui' ntodea hawe'ea toe we'i lau mpake' lolita rapa'. Uma ria to natudui' -raka ane uma hante lolita rapa'.
34Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,
35Ngkai toe, madupa' -mi lolita to na'uki' nabi owi-e: Kutudui' -ra hante lolita rapa'. Kuparata-raka tudui' to tewunii' ngkai lomo' kajadi' dunia'."
35that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”
36Oti toe, Yesus mpalahii tauna to wori' toera, pai' -i mesua' hi rala tomi. Tumai-ramo ana'guru-na mpomohui' -i, ra'uli': "Guru, uli' -kakai pe' batua lolita rapa' kowo' to hi olo' pae-e."
36Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”
37Na'uli' Yesus: "Pue' bonea to mpohawu' hawua' to lompe' -le, mpobatuai Aku' -mi, Ana' Manusia'.
37He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,
38Bonea, mpobatuai dunia' toi. Hawua' to lompe', mpobatuai tauna to jadi' ntodea-na Alata'ala hi rala Kamagaua' -na. Kowo' mpobatuai tauna to mpotuku' Magau' Anudaa'.
38 the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.
39Bali' to mpohawu' kowo', hi'a-mi Magau' Anudaa'. Tempo mepae, mpobatuai Eo Kiama. Pai' tauna topepae, mpobatuai mala'eka.
39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.
40Hewa kowo' rarumpu pai' rasuwe, wae wo'o mpai' tauna to dada'a nto'u Eo Kiama.
40 As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.
41Aku' Ana' Manusia' mpohubui mala'eka-ku hilou mporumpu hawe'ea to dada'a pai' hawe'ea to mepahala'nawu' ngkai laintongo' ntodea-ku.
41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,
42Hawe'ea tauna toera ratadi hi rala apu to wewo'. Hi ria-ra mpai' ntora geo' pai' ntodohaka.
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
43Tapi' tauna to monoa' po'ingku-ra, uma mpai' mowo kabohe tuwu' -ra nto'u toe. Mehini-ra hewa eo hi rala Kamagaua' Alata'ala Tuama-ra. Hema to tilingaa, pe'epei lompe'!"
43 Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane kita' jadi' ntodea-na Alata'ala hi rala Kamagaua' -na, toe meliu kalompe' -na ngkai hawe'ea to ntani' -na. Kajadi' -na hewa lolita rapa' toi: Hadua tauna mporua' bulawa to tetawu hi rala tana', masuli' lia oli-na, kaliliu natawuhi nculii'. Ngkai kagoe' nono-na, kahilou-nami hi tomi-na mpobalu' hawe'ea rewa-na, na'oli-ki tana' pomporuaa' -na bulawa toe.
44 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
45"Wae wo'o, ane kita' jadi' ntodea-na Alata'ala hi rala Kamagaua' -na, kajadi' -na hewa lolita rapa' toi: Ria hadua padaga to mpali' hanyala watu to rahanga' mutiara.
45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls,
46Wae kanarua' -na hameha' mutiara to masuli' lia oli-na, kahilou-nami mpobalu' hawe'ea rewa-na, pai' na'oli-ki mutiara toe.
46 who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47"Ane Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia', kajadi' -na hewa lolita rapa' toi: Hameha' jala' to bohe ratene' hi rala rano. Wori' nyala bau' mesua' hi rala-na.
47 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind,
48Ka'ihia' -nami jala', topebau' mpohore jala' -ra hilou hi role-na, pai' mohura-ramo mpopelihi bau' woko' jala' -ra. To lompe' rapuna' hi pontu'ua-ra, to uma lompe' rapetadi.
48 which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.
49Wae-mi mpai' hi Eo Kiama-e: mala'eka-mala'eka hilou mpogaa' tauna to dada'a pai' tauna to monoa'.
49 So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous,
50Tauna to dada'a rapetadi hi rala apu naraka. Hi ria-ra mpai' ntora geo' pai' ntodohaka."
50 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.”
51Oti toe, Yesus mpekune' -ra ana'guru-na, na'uli': "Ha nipaha wa lolita rapa' -ku toe-e we'i lau?" Ratompoi': "Kipaha moto."
51Jesus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.”
52Ngkai ree, na'uli' wo'o-miraka: "Ane wae, oi wo'o-pi hanyala lolita rapa' -ku: Ane ria guru agama Yahudi to mpopetudui' tudui' to mpo'uli' kamoparenta-na Alata'ala jadi' Magau' -ta, guru agama toe ma'ala rarapai' -ki pue' tomi: ngkai pontimamahia rewa-na na'ue' pai' napopehuwu rewa to hae pai' rewa to bo'u wo'o."
52He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”
53Kahudu-na Yesus mpololita hawe'ea lolita rapa' toe, malai-imi ngkai ree,
53It happened that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there.
54hilou hi ngata-na moto. Hi ria-i metudui' hi rala tomi posampayaa. Konce-ramo tauna to mpo'epe lolita-na, ra'uli': "Hema-di to mpotudui' -i pai' -i pante hewa toe-e? Pai' ngkaiapa baraka' -na mpobabehi anu mekoncehi-e?
54Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55Bo ana' topowangu tomi-i-wadi-hawo. Tina-na, Maria. Ompi' -na hira' Yakobus, Yusuf, Simon pai' Yudas.
55Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas ?
56Ompi' -na tobine, ria omea wo'o-ra dohe-ta hi rehe'i. Napa-di-hana pai' ria-ki baraka' -na mpobabehi hawe'ea toe-e lau?"
56Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”
57Toe pai' oja' -ra mepangala' hi Yesus. Ngkai ree, Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Hadua nabi bate rabila' hiapa kahilouaa-na. Aga hi ngata-na pai' hi tomi-na moto, uma lau-i rabila'."
57They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.”
58Toe pai' Yesus uma mpobabehi wori' tanda mekoncehi hi ria, apa' uma-ra mepangala'.
58He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
