1Ono mengi ngkai ree, Yesus mpobawai tolu ana'guru-na hilou dohe-na hi bulu' to molangko. Ana'guru to tolu toera: Petrus, Yakobus pai' Yohanes ompi' -na Yakobus. Muntu' Yesus hante ana'guru-na to tolu toera-wadi to hi ria.
1After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.
2Bula-ra hi ria, mobali' -mi lence-na. Lio-na mehini hewa eo, pai' pohea-na mengea' meringkila'.
2He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.
3Muu-mule' rahilo-rawo ana'guru-nae, ria wo'o rodua nabi to owi mpololitai Yesus. Nabi to rodua toera, Musa pai' Elia.
3Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.
4Ngkai ree Petrus mpo'uli' -ki Yesus: "Pue', lompe' lia-ta mo'oha' hi rehe'i. Ane nupokono Pue', kubabehi tolu bamaru' hi rehe'i: hameha' bagia-nu Pue', hameha' bagia-na Musa pai' hameha' wo'o bagia-na Elia."
4Peter answered, and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
5Bula-na mololita-pidi Petrus, muu-mule' hompo-mi limu' to mehini mpokamoui-ra, pai' ngkai rala limu' toe mpo'epe-ra topololita to mpo'uli': "Hi'a toi-mi Ana' -ku to kupe'ahi'. Hi'a mpakagoe' nono-ku. Pe'epei-mi lolita-na!"
5While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
6Wae kara'epe-na ana'guru-na lolita toe, tetumpopo' -ramo hi tana' apa' me'eka' lia-ra.
6When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.
7Tumai-i Yesus mpoganga-ra, na'uli' -raka: "Memata-mokoi, neo' me'eka'!"
7Jesus came and touched them and said, “Get up, and don’t be afraid.”
8Kamenaa-ra, uma-pi ria hewa to rahilo-e we'i, muntu' Yesus-damo.
8Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus alone.
9Pana'u-ra ngkai lolo bulu' toe, Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Neo' ulu ni'uli' hi hema-hema napa to nihilo we'i duu' -na Aku', Ana' Manusia', rapotuwu' nculii' ngkai kamatea."
9As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”
10Mepekune' -ramo ana'guru-na, ra'uli': "Napa pai' guru agama mpo'uli' nabi Elia ncala' -di to ri'ulu rata, pai' lako' rata-idi Magau' Topetolo' -e?"
10His disciples asked him, saying, “Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
11Na'uli' Yesus: "Makono mpu'u-di, Elia kana rata mperi'ulu, apa' hi'a to mporodo hawe'ea-na.
11Jesus answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things,
12Aga ku'uli' -kokoi, mpolia' rata-imile Elia-e, aga pangkeni ngata-ta uma mpo'incai-i. Ra'ewa lau-idi ntuku' konoa-ra. Wae wo'o mpai' Aku' Ana' Manusia' ra'ewa ntuku' konoa-ra."
12 but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn’t recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them.”
13Ngkai ree, rapaha-mi ana'guru-na lolita Yesus-e we'i: to rarapai' -ki nabi Elia, hi'a-mi Yohanes Topeniu'.
13Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptizer.
14Kanculii' -ra Yesus hante ana'guru-na to tolu toera mpohirua' -raka ntodea, ria hadua tomane tumai mowingkotu' hi nyanyoa-na, mpo'uli' -ki:
14When they came to the multitude, a man came to him, kneeling down to him, saying,
15"Pue', poka'ahi' -ka-kuwo ana' -ku. Mohaki' limpuangaa-i, pai' jau-i molimpu' nakeni haki' -na. Jau-i modungka hi rala apu, jau wo'o-i modungka hi rala ue.
15“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic, and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.
16Kukeni-imi hi ana'guru-nu, aga uma-di rapakulei' mpaka'uri' -i."
16So I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.”
17Na'uli' Yesus: "Uma mowo-koie'! Ko'ia oa' -tano mepangala' -koie! Mesapuaka oa' -pidi-koi mposapuaka konoa Alata'ala! Ni'uli' -koina hangkuja tena-pi kahae-ku dohe-ni, hangkuja tena-pi kahae-na kupengkatarii kalente pepangala' -nie! Keni tumai ana' tetui!"
17Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation! How long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to me.”
18Ngkai ree, Yesus mpopetibo' anudaa' to mpopedahi ana' toei. Palai-nami anudaa', pai' mo'uri' -imi-hawo topeda' toei.
18Jesus rebuked him, the demon went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.
19Oti toe, Yesus pai' ana'guru-na malai ngkai ree, pai' ana'guru-na mpekune' -i, ra'uli': "Guru, napa pai' uma kipakulei' mpopalai anudaa' toei-e we'i?"
19Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, “Why weren’t we able to cast it out?”
20Na'uli' Yesus: "Wae moto-hawo-le, apa' hangkedi' rahi pepangala' -nie. Ku'uli' -kokoi: ane rii-ria-mi pepangala' -ta nau' hangkutuno' -wadi, uma ria to uma-na madupa'. Ma'ala ta'uli' -ki bulu' toe mai: `Mentoli-ko ngkai retu!' bate mentoli-ile. ((
20He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
21Aga seta to hewa toe we'i, sampale-i malai ane mosampaya pai' mopuasa' -koi.))"
21 But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting.”
22Nto'u Yesus hante topetuku' -na morumpu hi Galilea, na'uli' -mi Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Aku' Ana' Manusia', ratonu-a mpai' hi kuasa manusia'.
22While they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,
23Rapatehi-a mpai', aga hi eo katolu-na tuwu' nculii' -a." Peda' lia-mi nono topetuku' -na mpo'epe lolita-na.
23 and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up.” They were exceedingly sorry.
24Karata-na Yesus hante topetuku' -na hi ngata Kapernaum, rata to mpesingarai' paja' Tomi Alata'ala hi Petrus pai' mpekune' -i: "Ha nabayari moto-hawo Guru-ni paja' Tomi Alata'ala-e, ba uma-di?"
24When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins A didrachma is a Greek silver coin worth 2 drachmas, about as much as 2 Roman denarii, or about 2 days’ wages. It was commonly used to pay the half-shekel temple tax, because 2 drachmas were worth one half shekel of silver. came to Peter, and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the didrachma?”
25Na'uli' Petrus: "Nabayari moto!" Ngkai ree, nculii' -imi Simon Petrus hilou hi tomi po'ohaa' -ra. Rata hi ria, ko'ia-di napoka'alai mololita-e, ncaliu Yesus-mi mpekune' -i: "Simon, beiwa-kowo pomporata-nu: hema to kana mpobayari paja' pai' pepue' hi raja to mpokuasai ngata doo? Ntodea-na moto-di, ba pue' ngata to nakuasai-di?"
25He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”
26Na'uli' Petrus: "Tantu pue' ngata to nakuasai to kana mpobayari." Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane wae, ntodea-na moto uma mingki' mpobayari. Wae wo'o kita' to jadi' ntodea-na Alata'ala, uma-ta mingki' mpobayari paja' Tomi Alata'ala.
26Peter said to him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Therefore the children are exempt.
27Aga nau' wae, agina mobayari moto-tamo, bona neo' kedi' nono-ra hi kita'. Jadi', hilou-moko hi rano mopeka. Ala' bau' uru to lomo' -na nupeka. Nurata doi hi rala nganga-na hono' pobayari paja' hi kita' rodua. Ala' doi tetu, pai' nubayari-ki paja' Tomi Alata'ala."
27 But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. A stater is a silver coin equivalent to four Attic or two Alexandrian drachmas, or a Jewish shekel: just exactly enough to cover the half-shekel temple tax for two people. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”
