1Ðây là sách chép dòng dõi của A-đam. Ngày mà Ðức Chúa Trời dựng nên loài người, thì người làm nên loài người giống như Ðức Chúa Trời;
1This [is] an account of the births of Adam: In the day of God`s preparing man, in the likeness of God He hath made him;
2Ngài dựng nên người nam cùng người nữ, ban phước cho họ, và trong ngày đã dựng nên, đặt tên là người.
2a male and a female He hath prepared them, and He blesseth them, and calleth their name Man, in the day of their being prepared.
3Vả, A-đam được một trăm ba mươi tuổi, sanh một con trai giống như hình tượng mình, đặt tên là Sết.
3And Adam liveth an hundred and thirty years, and begetteth [a son] in his likeness, according to his image, and calleth his name Seth.
4Sau khi A-đam sanh Sết rồi, còn sống được tám trăm năm, sanh con trai con gái.
4And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years, and he begetteth sons and daughters.
5Vậy, A-đam hưởng thọ được chín trăm ba mươi tuổi, rồi qua đời.
5And all the days of Adam which he lived are nine hundred and thirty years, and he dieth.
6Sết được một trăm năm tuổi, sanh Ê-nót.
6And Seth liveth an hundred and five years, and begetteth Enos.
7Sau khi Sết sanh Ê-nót rồi, còn sống được tám trăm bảy năm, sanh con trai con gái.
7And Seth liveth after his begetting Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
8Vậy, Sết hưởng thọ được chín trăm mười hai tuổi, rồi qua đời.
8And all the days of Seth are nine hundred and twelve years, and he dieth.
9Ê-nót được chín mươi tuổi, sanh Kê-nan.
9And Enos liveth ninety years, and begetteth Cainan.
10Sau khi sanh Kê-nan rồi, còn sống được tám trăm mười lăm năm, sanh con trai con gái.
10And Enos liveth after his begetting Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
11Vậy, Ê-nót hưởng thọ được chín trăm năm tuổi, rồi qua đời.
11And all the days of Enos are nine hundred and five years, and he dieth.
12Kê-nan được bảy mươi tuổi, sanh Ma-ha-la-le.
12And Cainan liveth seventy years, and begetteth Mahalaleel.
13Sau khi Kê-nan sanh Ma-ha-la-le rồi, còn sống được tám trăm bốn mươi năm, sanh con trai con gái.
13And Cainan liveth after his begetting Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
14Vậy, Kê-nan hưởng thọ được chín trăm mười tuổi, rồi qua đời.
14And all the days of Cainan are nine hundred and ten years, and he dieth.
15Ma-ha-la-le được sáu mươi lăm tuổi, sanh Giê-rệt.
15And Mahalaleel liveth five and sixty years, and begetteth Jared.
16Sau khi Ma-ha-la-le sanh Giê-rệt rồi, còn sống được tám trăm ba mươi năm, sanh con trai con gái.
16And Mahalaleel liveth after his begetting Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
17Vậy, Ma-ha-la-le hưởng thọ được tám trăm chín mươi lăm tuổi, rồi qua đời.
17And all the days of Mahalaleel are eight hundred and ninety and five years, and he dieth.
18Giê-rệt được một trăm sáu mươi hai tuổi, sanh Hê-nóc.
18And Jared liveth an hundred and sixty and two years, and begetteth Enoch.
19Sau khi Giê-rệt sanh Hê-nót rồi, còn sống được tám trăm năm, sanh con trai con gái.
19And Jared liveth after his begetting Enoch eight hundred years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
20Vậy, Giê-rệt hưởng thọ được chín trăm sáu mươi hai tuổi, rồi qua đời.
20And all the days of Jared are nine hundred and sixty and two years, and he dieth.
21Hê-nóc được sáu mươi lăm tuổi, sanh Mê-tu-sê-la.
21And Enoch liveth five and sixty years, and begetteth Methuselah.
22Sau khi Hê-nóc sanh Mê-tu-sê-la rồi, đồng đi cùng Ðức Chúa Trời trong ba trăm năm, sanh con trai con gái.
22And Enoch walketh habitually with God after his begetting Methuselah three hundred years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
23Vậy Hê-nóc hưởng thọ được ban trăm sáu mươi lăm tuổi.
23And all the days of Enoch are three hundred and sixty and five years.
24Hê-nóc đồng đi cùng Ðức Chúa Trời, rồi mất biệt, bởi vì Ðức Chúa Trời tiếp người đi.
24And Enoch walketh habitually with God, and he is not, for God hath taken him.
25Mê-tu-sê-la được một trăm tám mươi bảy tuổi, sanh Lê-méc.
25And Methuselah liveth an hundred and eighty and seven years, and begetteth Lamech.
26Sau khi Mê-tu-sê-la sanh Lê-méc rồi, còn sống được bảy trăm tám mươi hai năm, sanh con trai con gái.
26And Methuselah liveth after his begetting Lamech seven hundred and eighty and two years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
27Vậy, Mê-tu-sê-la hưởng thọ được chín trăm sáu mươi chín tuổi, rồi qua đời.
27And all the days of Methuselah are nine hundred and sixty and nine years, and he dieth.
28Lê-méc được một trăm tám mươi hai tuổi, sanh một trai,
28And Lamech liveth an hundred and eighty and two years, and begetteth a son,
29Ðặt tên là Nô-ê, mà nói rằng: Ðứa nầy sẽ an ủy lòng ta về công việc và về sự nhọc nhằn mà đất bắt tay ta phải làm, là đất Ðức Giê-hô-va đã rủa sả.
29and calleth his name Noah, saying, `This [one] doth comfort us concerning our work, and concerning the labour of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah hath cursed.`
30Sau khi Lê-méc sanh Nô-ê rồi, còn sống được năm trăm chín mươi lăm năm, sanh con trai con gái.
30And Lamech liveth after his begetting Noah five hundred and ninety and five years, and begetteth sons and daughters.
31Vậy, Lê-méc hưởng thọ được bảy trăm bảy mươi bảy tuổi, rồi qua đời.
31And all the days of Lamech are seven hundred and seventy and seven years, and he dieth.
32Còn Nô-ê, khi đến năm trăm tuổi, sanh Sem Cham và Gia-phết.
32And Noah is a son of five hundred years, and Noah begetteth Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
