¹Bấy giờ, các trưởng tộc người Lê-vi đến gần thầy tế lễ Ê-lê-a-sa, Giô-suê, con trai của Nun, và các trưởng tộc của những chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên,

¹And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw nigh unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel,

²nói cùng họ tại Si-lô trong xứ Ca-na-an, mà rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va cậy Môi-se truyền ban những thành cho chúng tôi ở, và đất chung quanh thành đặng dùng cho súc vật chúng tôi.

²and they speak unto them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, `Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.`

³Vậy, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên vâng mạng Ðức Giê-hô-va, lấy trong sản nghiệp mình những thành sau này, và đất chung quanh nó, mà cấp cho người Lê-vi.

³And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of Jehovah, these cities and their suburbs:

⁴Người ta bắt thăm cho các họ hàng Kê-hát; những con cháu của thầy tế lễ A-rôn về dòng Lê-vi bắt thăm được mười ba thành bởi trong chi phái Giu-đa, chi phái Si-mê-ôn, và chi phái Bên-gia-min.

⁴And the lot goeth out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, by lot thirteen cities,

⁵Còn những con cháu khác của Kê-hát, theo thăm được mười cái thành của chi phái Ép-ra-im, của chi phái Ðan, và của phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se.

⁵and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities:

⁶Ðoạn, con cháu Ghẹt-sôn, theo thăm được mười ba cái thành của chi phái Nép-ta-li, và của phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se ở Ba-san.

⁶And for the sons of Gershon [are], out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.

⁷Con cháu Mê-ra-ri, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng, được mười hai cái thành của chi phái Ru-bên, của chi phái Gát, và của chi phái Sa-bu-lôn.

⁷For the sons of Merari, for their families, [are], out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

⁸Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên bắt thăm cấp cho người Lê-vi các thành đó với đất chung quanh, y như Ðức Giê-hô-va đã cậy Môi-se truyền dặn cho.

⁸And the sons of Israel give to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.

⁹Vậy, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên lấy trong chi phái Giu-đa và trong chi phái Si-mê-ôn, các thành có tên đây, mà cấp cho.

⁹And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;

¹⁰Con cháu A-rôn về dòng Kê-hát, là con trai Lê-vi, được các thành ấy; vì phần thứ nhất bắt thăm trúng về họ.

¹⁰and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for theirs hath been the first lot;

¹¹Người ta bèn cấp cho họ thành Ki-ri-át-a-ra-ba, (A-ra-ba là cha của A-nác), tức là Hếp-rôn ở trên núi Giu-đa, và đất chung quanh thành đó.

¹¹and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it [is] Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;

¹²Còn địa phận của thành, và các làng nó, thì người ta cấp cho Ca-lép, con trai của Giê-phu-nê, làm sản nghiệp.

¹²and the field of the city and its villages they have given to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession.

¹³Người ta cấp cho con cháu thầy tế lễ A-rôn thành Hếp-rôn, là thành ẩn náu cho kẻ sát nhơn, và đất chung quanh thành; Líp-na và đất chung quanh thành,

¹³And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Hebron and its suburbs, and Libnah and its suburbs,

¹⁴Giạt-thia và đất chung quanh, Ê-thê-mô-a và đất chung quanh thành,

¹⁴and Jattir and its suburbs, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,

¹⁵Hô-lôn và đất chung quanh thành, Ðê-bia và đất chung quanh thành,

¹⁵and Holon and its suburbs, and Debir and its suburbs,

¹⁶A-in và đất chung quanh thành, Giu-ta và đất chung quanh thành, Bết-Sê-mết và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy chín cái thành của hai chi phái này.

¹⁶and Ain and its suburbs, and Juttah and its suburbs, Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs; nine cities out of these two tribes.

¹⁷Người ta lại lấy trong chi phái Bên-gia-min mà cấp cho họ. Ga-ba-ôn và đất chung quanh thành, Ghê-ba và đất chung quanh thành,

¹⁷And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its suburbs, Geba and its suburbs,

¹⁸A-na-tốt và đất chung quanh thành, cùng Anh-môn và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

¹⁸Anathoth and its suburbs, and Almon and its suburbs — four cities;

¹⁹Cộng các thành của những thầy tế lễ, con cháu A-rôn, là mười ba cái thành với đất chung quanh.

¹⁹all the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, [are] thirteen cities and their suburbs.

²⁰Những người Lê-vi thuộc họ hàng con cháu khác của Kê-hát, được mấy thành trong chi phái Ép-ra-im làm phần của mình.

²⁰And for the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, who are left of the sons of Kohath, even the cities of their lot are of the tribe of Ephraim;

²¹Người ta cấp cho họ Si-chem, thành ẩn náu cho kẻ sát nhơn, ở trên núi Ép-ra-im, và đất chung quanh thành, Ghê-xe và đất chung quanh thành,

²¹and they give to them the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Shechem and its suburbs, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs,

²²Kíp-sa-im và đất chung quanh thành, Bết-Hô-rôn và đất chung quanh thành, Ghi-bê-thôn và đất chung quanh thành, hết thảy bốn cái thành.

²²and Kibzaim and its suburbs, and Beth-Horon and its suburbs — four cities.

²³Người ta lấy trong chi phái Ðan, cấp cho họ Eân-thê-kê và đất chung quanh thành, Ghi-bê-thôn và đất chung quanh thành,

²³And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs,

²⁴A-gia-lôn và đất chung quanh thành, Gát-Rim-môn và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

²⁴Aijalon and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs — four cities.

²⁵Lại lấy trong phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se, Tha-a-nác và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy hai cái thành.

²⁵And out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs — two cities;

²⁶Cộng là mười cái thành và đất chung quanh thành cho những họ hàng của các con cháu khác của Kê-hát.

²⁶all the cities [are] ten and their suburbs, for the families of the sons of Kohath who are left.

²⁷Người ta cũng lấy trong phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se, thành Gô-lan ở xứ Ba-san, là thành ẩn náu cho kẻ sát nhơn, mà cấp cho con cháu Ghẹt-sôn về các họ hàng Lê-vi, và đất chung quanh thành ấy, Bết-ê-ra và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy hai cái thành.

²⁷And for the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Beeshterah and its suburbs — two cities.

²⁸Lại lấy trong chi phái Y-sa-ca, Ki-si-ôn và đất chung quanh thành, Ðáp-rát và đất chung quanh thành,

²⁸And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its suburbs, Dabarath and its suburbs,

²⁹Giạt-mút và đất chung quanh thành, Eân-gia-nim và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

²⁹Jarmuth and its suburbs, En-Gannim and its suburbs — four cities.

³⁰Từ trong chi phái A-se, lấy Mi-sê-anh và đất chung quanh thành,

³⁰And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its suburbs, Abdon and its suburbs,

³¹Hên-cát và đất chung quanh thành Rê-hốp và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

³¹Helkath and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs — four cities.

³²Cũng lấy trong chi phái Nép-ta-li, thành Kê-đe ở Ga-li-lê là thành ẩn náu cho kẻ sát nhơn, và đất chung quanh, Ha-mốt-Ðọ-rơ và đất chung quanh thành, Cạt-than và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy ba cái thành.

³²And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammoth-Dor and its suburbs, and Kartan and its suburbs — three cities;

³³Cọng các thành của người Ghẹt-sôn, tùy theo những họ hàng, là mười ba cái thành với đất chung quanh.

³³all the cities of the Gershonite, for their families, [are] thirteen cities and their suburbs.

³⁴Người ta cũng lấy trong chi phái Sa-bu-lôn mà cấp cho những họ hàng con cháu Mê-ra-ri, tức là những người Lê-vi sau chót, thành Giốc-nê-am và đất chung quanh thành, Cạt-ta và đất chung quanh thành.

³⁴And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites, who are left, [are,] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its suburbs, Kartah and its suburbs,

³⁵Ðim-na và đất chung quanh thành, Na-ha-la và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

³⁵Dimnah and its suburbs, Nahalal and its suburbs — four cities.

³⁶Từ trong chi phái Ru-bên, lấy thành Bết-se và đất chung quanh thành, Giát-sa và đất chung quanh thành, Giát-sa và đất chung quanh thành,

³⁶And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its suburbs, and Jahazah and its suburbs,

³⁷Kê-đê-mốt và đất chung quanh thành, Mê-phát và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

³⁷Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs — four cities.

³⁸Lại lấy trong chi phái Gát, thành Ra-mốt ở xứ Ga-la-át, là thành ẩn náu cho kẻ sát nhơn, và đất chung quanh thành, Ma-ha-na-im và đất chung quanh thành,

³⁸And out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs,

³⁹Hết-bô và đất chung quanh thành, Gia-ê-xe và đất chung quanh thành: hết thảy bốn cái thành.

³⁹Heshbon and its suburbs, Jazer and its suburbs — [in] all four cities.

⁴⁰Cộng các thành cấp cho con cháu Mê-ra-ri, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng, tức là dư hậu các họ hàng Lê-vi, là mười hai cái thành.

⁴⁰All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, who are left of the families of the Levites — their lot is twelve cities.

⁴¹Cộng các thành người Lê-vi ở giữa sản nghiệp dân Y-sơ-ra-ên là bốn mươi tám cái thành cùng đất chung quanh thành.

⁴¹All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel [are] forty and eight cities, and their suburbs.

⁴²Mỗi thành ấy đều có đất chung quanh; hết thảy thành cũng đều như vậy.

⁴²These cities are each city and its suburbs round about it; so to all these cities.

⁴³Thế thì, Ðức Giê-hô-va ban cho Y-sơ-ra-ên cả xứ mà Ngài đã thề ban cho tổ phụ họ. Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên nhận làm sản nghiệp, và ở tại đó.

⁴³And Jehovah giveth to Israel the whole of the land which He hath sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;

⁴⁴Ðức Giê-hô-va làm cho tứ phía đều được an nghỉ, y như Ngài đã thề cùng tổ phụ họ, chẳng có một kẻ thù nghịch nào còn đứng nổi trước mặt họ. Ðức Giê-hô-va phó hết thảy kẻ thù nghịch vào tay họ.

⁴⁴and Jehovah giveth rest to them round about, according to all that which He hath sworn to their fathers, and there hath not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies hath Jehovah given into their hand;

⁴⁵Trong các lời lành mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán cho nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, chẳng có một lời nào là không thành: thảy đều ứng nghiệm hết.

⁴⁵there hath not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Jehovah spake unto the house of Israel — the whole hath come.
