1Ðức Giê-hô-va lại phán cùng Môi-se rằng:
1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
2Hãy nói cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời các ngươi.
2`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, I [am] Jehovah your God;
3Các ngươi chớ làm theo những điều người ta làm hoặc tại xứ Ê-díp-tô, là nơi các ngươi đã kiều ngụ, hoặc tại xứ Ca-na-an, là xứ ta dẫn các ngươi đi đến: chớ đi theo thói tục họ.
3according to the work of the land of Egypt in which ye have dwelt ye do not, and according to the work of the land of Canaan whither I am bringing you in, ye do not, and in their statutes ye walk not.
4Các ngươi hãy tuân mạng lịnh ta, gìn giữ luật pháp ta đặng noi theo: Ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời các ngươi.
4`My judgments ye do, and My statutes ye keep, to walk in them; I [am] Jehovah your God;
5Vậy, hãy giữ luật pháp và mạng lịnh ta, người nào làm theo, thì sẽ nhờ nó mà được sống: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va.
5and ye have kept My statutes and My judgments which man doth and liveth in them; I [am] Jehovah.
6Chớ một ai trong vòng các ngươi đến gần cùng người nữ bà con mình đặng cấu hiệp: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va.
6`None of you unto any relation of his flesh doth draw near to uncover nakedness; I [am] Jehovah.
7Chớ cấu hiệp cùng mẹ mình; bằng cấu hiệp, tất làm nhục cho cha mẹ.
7`The nakedness of thy father and the nakedness of thy mother thou dost not uncover, she [is] thy mother; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.
8Chớ cấu hiệp cùng kế mẫu, bằng cấu hiệp, ấy làm nhục cho cha mình.
8`The nakedness of the wife of thy father thou dost not uncover; it [is] the nakedness of thy father.
9Chớ cấu hiệp cùng chị em mình, hoặc một cha khác mẹ, hoặc một mẹ khác cha, hoặc sanh tại trong nhà, hoặc sanh ở ngoài.
9`The nakedness of thy sister, daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home or born without; thou dost not uncover their nakedness.
10Chớ cấu hiệp cùng cháu gái, hoặc cháu gái nội, hoặc cháu gái ngoại; bằng cấu hiệp, ấy là gây nhục cho mình.
10`The nakedness of thy son`s daughter, or of thy daughter`s daughter: thou dost not uncover their nakedness; for theirs [is] thy nakedness.
11Chớ cấu hiệp cùng con gái của kế mẫu bởi cha mình sanh ra, vì là em gái ngươi.
11`The nakedness of a daughter of thy father`s wife, begotten of thy father, she [is] thy sister; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.
12Chớ cấu hiệp cùng chị em của cha ngươi; vì là cốt nhục của cha ngươi.
12`The nakedness of a sister of thy father thou dost not uncover; she [is] a relation of thy father.
13Chớ cấu hiệp cùng chị em của mẹ ngươi; vì là cốt nhục của mẹ ngươi.
13`The nakedness of thy mother`s sister thou dost not uncover; for she [is] thy mother`s relation.
14Chớ cấu hiệp cùng bác gái hay thím ngươi; bằng cấu hiệp, ấy là gây nhục cho anh em của cha ngươi.
14`The nakedness of thy father`s brother thou dost not uncover; unto his wife thou dost not draw near; she [is] thine aunt.
15Chớ cấu hiệp cùng dâu ngươi; vì là vợ của con trai mình.
15`The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law thou dost not uncover; she [is] thy son`s wife; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.
16Chớ cấu hiệp cùng chị dâu hay em dâu ngươi; nếu cấu hiệp, ấy làm nhục cho anh em ngươi vậy.
16`The nakedness of thy brother`s wife thou dost not uncover; it [is] thy brother`s nakedness.
17Chớ cấu hiệp cùng một người đàn bà luôn với con gái của người đàn bà nữa. Chớ lấy cháu gái nội ngươi, hoặc cháu gái ngoại ngươi đặng cấu hiệp cùng họ; chúng nó đều là cốt nhục gần; làm vậy, ấy là một việc ác dục.
17`The nakedness of a woman and her daughter thou dost not uncover; her son`s daughter, and her daughter`s daughter thou dost not take to uncover her nakedness; they [are] her relations; it [is] wickedness.
18Chớ lấy vợ luôn với chị em người mà cấu hiệp cùng nó gần bên vợ chánh mình đương khi người còn sống, e khi sanh ghen tương.
18`And a woman unto another thou dost not take, to be an adversary, to uncover her nakedness beside her, in her life.
19Trong lúc người nữ có kinh nguyệt, chớ đến gần mà cấu hiệp.
19`And unto a woman in the separation of her uncleanness thou dost not draw near to uncover her nakedness.
20Chớ nằm cùng vợ người lân cận mình, mà gây cho mình bị ô uế với người.
20`And unto the wife of thy fellow thou dost not give thy seed of copulation, for uncleanness with her.
21Chớ bắt con cái mình đặng dâng cho thần Mo-lóc, chớ làm ô danh Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi: Ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va.
21`And of thy seed thou dost not give to pass over to the Molech; nor dost thou pollute the name of thy God; I [am] Jehovah.
22Chớ nằm cùng một người nam như người ta nằm cùng một người nữ; ấy là một sự quái gớm.
22`And with a male thou dost not lie as one lieth with a woman; abomination it [is].
23Chớ nằm cùng một con thú nào, mà gây cho mình bị ô uế với nó; một người đàn bà chớ nằm cùng thú vật nào; ấy là một sự quái gớm.
23`And with any beast thou dost not give thy copulation, for uncleanness with it; and a woman doth not stand before a beast to lie down with it; confusion it [is].
24Các ngươi chớ làm một trong mấy việc đó mà tự gây cho mình ô uế; bởi dân mà ta sẽ đuổi khỏi trước mặt các ngươi đã thành ô uế vì cớ làm các việc đó.
24`Ye are not defiled with all these, for with all these have the nations been defiled which I am sending away from before you;
25Ðất vì chúng nó mà bị ô uế; ta sẽ phạt tội ác họ; đất sẽ mửa dân nó ra vậy.
25and the land is defiled, and I charge its iniquity upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants:
26Còn các ngươi, hoặc dân bổn xứ, hoặc kẻ khách kiều ngụ giữa các ngươi, phải giữ luật pháp và mạng lịnh ta, đừng làm một trong những điều quái gớm nầy.
26and ye — ye have kept My statutes and My judgments, and do not [any] of all these abominations, the native and the sojourner who is sojourning in your midst,
27Vì những điều quái gớm ấy, những người ở tại xứ trước các ngươi đã làm; và đất vì cớ đó phải thành ô uế.
27(for all these abominations have the men of the land done who [are] before you, and the land is defiled),
28Vậy, chớ làm đất thành ô uế, e khi đất mửa các ngươi ra, như đã mửa dân cư trú tại xứ trước các ngươi chăng;
28and the land doth not vomit you out in your defiling it, as it hath vomited out the nation which [is] before you;
29vì phàm ai làm một trong những điều quái gớm ấy sẽ bị truất khỏi dân sự mình.
29for any one who doth [any] of all these abominations — even the persons who are doing [so], have been cut off from the midst of their people;
30Thế thì, các ngươi phải giữ điều ta phán dặn, để đừng làm theo một trong các thói tục gớm ghiếc nào đã làm trước các ngươi, và các ngươi chớ vì các thói tục đó mà gây cho mình ô uế. Ta là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của các ngươi.
30and ye have kept My charge, so as not to do [any] of the abominable statutes which have been done before you, and ye do not defile yourselves with them; I [am] Jehovah your God.`
