1Nầy là các nơi đóng trại của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên khi họ ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô tùy theo các đội ngũ, có Môi-se và A-rôn quản lý.
1These [are] journeys of the sons of Israel who have come out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts, by the hand of Moses and Aaron;
2Môi-se vâng mạng Ðức Giê-hô-va chép sự hành trình của dân chúng, tùy theo các nơi đóng trại. Vậy, nầy là các nơi đóng trại tùy theo sự hành trình của họ.
2and Moses writeth their outgoings, by their journeys, by the command of Jehovah; and these [are] their journeys, by their outgoings:
3Ngày rằm tháng giêng, tức ngày sau lễ Vượt-qua, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ra đi từ Ram-se, cách dạn dĩ, có mắt của hết thảy người Ê-díp-tô thấy.
3And they journey from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow of the passover have the sons of Israel gone out with a high hand, before the eyes of all the Egyptians —
4Người Ê-díp-tô chôn những kẻ mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã hành hại giữa bọn mình, tức là hết thảy con đầu lòng: Ðức Giê-hô-va đã đoán xét các thần chúng nó.
4and the Egyptians are burying those whom Jehovah hath smitten among them, every first-born, and on their gods hath Jehovah done judgments —
5Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ Ram-se đến đóng trại tại Su-cốt;
5and the sons of Israel journey from Rameses, and encamp in Succoth.
6rồi đi từ Su-cốt đến đóng trại tại Ê-tam, ở cuối đồng vắng.
6And they journey from Succoth, and encamp in Etham, which [is] in the extremity of the wilderness;
7Kế đó, đi từ Ê-tam vòng về hướng Phi-Ha-hi-rốt, đối ngang cùng Ba-anh-Sê-phôn, và đóng trại trước Mít-đôn.
7and they journey from Etham, and turn back on Pi-Hahiroth, which [is] on the front of Baal-Zephon, and they encamp before Migdol.
8Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên bỏ Phi-Ha-hi-rốt, đi qua giữa biển về hướng đồng vắng đi ba ngày đường ngang đồng vắng Ê-tam, rồi đóng trại tại Ma-ra.
8And they journey from Pi-Hahiroth, and pass over through the midst of the sea, into the wilderness, and go a journey of three days in the wilderness of Etham, and encamp in Marah.
9Ðoạn, đi từ Ma-ra đến Ê-lim; vả, tại Ê-lim có mười hai cái suối và bảy chục cây chà-là, bèn đóng trại tại đó.
9And they journey from Marah, and come in to Elim, and in Elim [are] twelve fountains of waters, and seventy palm trees, and they encamp there;
10Dân sự đi từ Ê-lim và đóng trại gần Biển đỏ.
10and they journey from Elim, and encamp by the Red Sea.
11Ðoạn, di từ Biển đỏ và đóng trại tại đồng vắng Sin.
11And they journey from the Red Sea, and encamp in the wilderness of Sin;

12and they journey from the wilderness of Sin, and encamp in Dophkah.

14Ði từ A-lúc và đóng trại tại Rê-phi-đim, là nơi không có nước cho dân sự uống.
14and they journey from Alush, and encamp in Rephidim; and there was there no water for the people to drink.
15Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ Rê-phi-đim và đóng trại trong đồng vắng Si-na -i.
15And they journey from Rephidim, and encamp in the wilderness of Sinai;

35Ðoạn, đi từ Áp-rô-na và đóng trại tại Ê-xi-ôn-Ghê-be.
35And they journey from Ebronah, and encamp in Ezion-Gaber;
36Ði từ Ê-xi-ôn-Ghê-be và đóng trại tại đồng vắng Xin, nghĩa là tại Ca-đe.
36and they journey from Ezion-Gaber, and encamp in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh.
37Kế đó, đi từ Ca-đe và đóng trại tại núi Hô-rơ, ở chót đầu xứ Ê-đôm.
37And they journey from Kadesh, and encamp in mount Hor, in the extremity of the land of Edom.
38A-rôn, thầy tế lễ, theo mạng Ðức Giê-hô-va lên trên núi Hô-rơ, rồi qua đời tại đó, nhằm ngày mồng một tháng năm, năm thứ bốn mươi sau khi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đã ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.
38And Aaron the priest goeth up unto mount Hor, by the command of Jehovah, and dieth there, in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month;
39Khi A-rôn qua đời trên núi Hô-rơ, người đã được một trăm hai mươi ba tuổi.
39and Aaron [is] a son of a hundred and twenty and three years in his dying in mount Hor.
40Bấy giờ, vua A-rát, là người Ca-na-an, ở miền nam xứ Ca-na-an, hay rằng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đến.
40And the Canaanite — king Arad — who is dwelling in the south, in the land of Canaan, heareth of the coming of the sons of Israel.
41Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ núi Hô-rơ và đóng trại tại Xa-mô-na.
41And they journey from mount Hor, and encamp in Zalmonah;
42Ði từ Xa-mô-na và đóng trại tại Phu-nôn.
42and they journey from Zalmonah, and encamp in Punon.
43Ði từ Phu-nôn và đóng trại tại Ô-bốt.
43And they journey from Punon, and encamp in Oboth;
44Kế đó, đi từ Ô-bốt và đóng trại tại Y-giê-a-ba-rim, trên bờ cõi Mô-áp.
44and they journey from Oboth, and encamp in Ije-Abarim, in the border of Moab.
45Ði từ Y-giê-a-ba-rim và đóng trại tại Ði-bôn-Gát.
45And they journey from Iim, and encamp in Dibon-Gad;
46Ði từ Ði-bôn-Gát và đóng trại tại Anh-môn-Ðíp-la-tha-im.
46and they journey from Dibon-Gad, and encamp in Almon-Diblathaim.
47Kế ấy, đi từ Anh-môn-Ðíp-la-tha-im và đóng trại tại núi A-ba-rim trước Nê-bô.
47And they journey from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamp in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo;
48Ði từ núi A-ba-rim và đóng trại tại đồng bằng Mô-áp gần sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô.
48and they journey from the mountains of Abarim, and encamp in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho.
49Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đóng trại gần đông Giô-đanh, từ Bết-Giê-si-mốt chi A-bên-Si-tim trong đồng Mô-áp.
49And they encamp by the Jordan from Beth-Jeshimoth, unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.
50Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se trong đồng Mô-áp gần sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô, mà rằng:
50And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,
51Hãy truyền cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên mà rằng: Khi nào các ngươi đã đi ngang qua sông Giô-đanh đặng vào xứ Ca-na-an rồi,
51`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are passing over the Jordan unto the land of Canaan,
52thì phải đuổi hết thảy dân của xứ khỏi trước mặt các ngươi, phá hủy hết thảy hình tượng chạm và hình đúc, cùng đạp đổ các nơi cao của chúng nó.
52then ye have dispossessed all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and have destroyed all their imagery, yea, all their molten images ye destroy, and all their high places ye lay waste,
53Các ngươi sẽ lãnh xứ làm sản nghiệp và ở tại đó; vì ta đã ban xứ cho các ngươi đặng làm cơ nghiệp.
53and ye have possessed the land, and dwelt in it, for to you I have given the land — to possess it.
54Phải bắt thăm chia xứ ra tùy theo họ hàng các ngươi. Hễ ai số đông, các ngươi phải cho một sản nghiệp lớn hơn; còn hễ ai số ít, thì phải cho một sản nghiệp nhỏ hơn. Mỗi người sẽ nhận lãnh phần mình bắt thăm được; phải cứ những chi phái tổ phụ các ngươi mà chia xứ ra.
54`And ye have inherited the land by lot, by your families; to the many ye increase their inheritance, and to the few ye diminish their inheritance; whither the lot goeth out to him, it is his; by the tribes of your fathers ye inherit.
55Còn nếu các ngươi không đuổi dân của xứ khỏi trước mặt mình, thì những kẻ nào trong bọn họ mà các ngươi còn chừa lại, sẽ như gai trong con mắt, và như chông nơi hông các ngươi, chúng nó sẽ theo bắt riết các ngươi tại trong xứ các ngươi ở;
55`And if ye do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it hath been, those whom ye let remain of them, [are] for pricks in your eyes, and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which ye are dwelling,
56rồi xảy đến ta sẽ hành hại các ngươi khác nào ta đã toan hành hại chúng nó vậy.
56and it hath come to pass, as I thought to do to them — I do to you.`
