¹Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy nghe lời cầu nguyện tôi, lắng tai nghe sự nài xin của tôi; Nhơn sự thành tín và sự công bình Chúa, xin hãy đáp lại tôi.

¹A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, hear my prayer, Give ear unto my supplications, In Thy faithfulness answer me — in Thy righteousness.

²Xin chớ đoán xét kẻ tôi tớ Chúa; Vì trước mặt Chúa chẳng người sống nào được xưng là công bình.

²And enter not into judgment with Thy servant, For no one living is justified before Thee.

³Kẻ thù nghịch đã đuổi theo linh hồn tôi, Giày đạp mạng sống tôi dưới đất; Nó làm cho tôi phải ở nơi tối tăm, Khác nào kẻ đã chết từ lâu rồi.

³For an enemy hath pursued my soul, He hath bruised to the earth my life, He hath caused me to dwell in dark places, As the dead of old.

⁴Vì vậy, thần linh tôi nao sờn, Tấm lòng sầu não trong mình tôi.

⁴And my spirit in me is become feeble, Within me is my heart become desolate.

⁵Tôi nhớ lại các ngày xưa, Tưởng đến mọi việc Chúa đã làm, Và suy gẫm công việc của tay Chúa.

⁵I have remembered days of old, I have meditated on all Thine acts, On the work of Thy hand I muse.

⁶Tôi giơ tay lên hướng về Chúa; Lòng tôi khát khao Chúa như đất khô khan vậy.

⁶I have spread forth my hands unto Thee, My soul [is] as a weary land for Thee. Selah.

⁷Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! xin mau mau đáp lời tôi! Thần linh tôi nao sờn. Xin chớ giấu mặt Chúa cùng tôi, E tôi giống như kẻ xuống huyệt chăng.

⁷Haste, answer me, O Jehovah, My spirit hath been consumed, Hide not Thou Thy face from me, Or I have been compared with those going down [to] the pit.

⁸Vừa buổi sáng, xin cho tôi nghe sự nhơn từ Chúa, Vì tôi để lòng trông cậy nơi Chúa; Xin chỉ cho tôi biết con đường phải đi, Vì linh hồn tôi ngưỡng vọng Chúa.

⁸Cause me to hear in the morning Thy kindness, For in Thee I have trusted, Cause me to know the way that I go, For unto Thee I have lifted up my soul.

⁹Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch; Tôi chạy nương náu mình nơi Ngài.

⁹Deliver me from mine enemies, O Jehovah, Near Thee I am covered.

¹⁰Xin dạy tôi làm theo ý muốn Chúa, Vì Chúa là Ðức Chúa Trời tôi; Nguyện Thần tốt lành của Chúa đến tôi vào đất bằng thẳng.

¹⁰Teach me to do Thy good pleasure, For Thou [art] my God — Thy Spirit [is] good, Lead me into a land of uprightness.

¹¹Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, vì cớ danh Ngài, xin hãy cho tôi được sống; Nhờ sự công bình Ngài, xin hãy rút linh hồn tôi khỏi gian truân.

¹¹For Thy name`s sake O Jehovah, Thou dost quicken me, In Thy righteousness, Thou bringest out from distress my soul,

¹²Nhờ sự nhơn từ Chúa, xin hãy diệt hết kẻ thù nghịch tôi, Và hủy hoại những kẻ hà hiếp tôi; Vì tôi là kẻ tôi tớ Chúa.

¹²And in Thy kindness cuttest off mine enemies, And hast destroyed all the adversaries of my soul, For I [am] Thy servant!
