⁶Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

⁷David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

⁸Từ Ti-bát và Cun, hai thành của Ha-đa-rê-xe, Ða-vít lại đoạt lấy nhiều đồng, mà Sa-lô-môn dùng làm cái biển đồng, các trụ và chậu bằng đồng.

⁸From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much brass, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

⁹When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

¹⁰thì sai Ha-đô-ram, con trai người, đến chào mừng và ngợi khen Ða-vít, bởi người đã chinh chiến với Ha-đa-rê-xe, và đã đánh người; vì Ha-đa-rê-xe và Tô-hu thường đánh giặc với nhau luôn; Tô-hu cũng gởi đến các thứ chậu bằng vàng, bạc, và đồng.

¹¹King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

¹⁷Bê-na-gia, con trai của Giê-hô-gia-đa, cai quản người Kê-rê-thít và người Phê-lê-thít, còn các con trai Ða-vít đều làm quan đại thần gần bên vua.

¹⁷and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
