¹Sa-lô-môn khởi cất đền Ðức Giê-hô-va tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, trên núi Mô-ri-a, là nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va đã hiện ra cùng Ða-vít, cha người, tại trên chỗ mà Ða-vít đã dọn, tức là trong sân đạp lúa của Oït-na, người Giê-bu-sít.

¹Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where Yahweh appeared to David his father, which he prepared in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

²Sa-lô-môn khởi xây cất nhằm ngày mồng hai tháng hai, năm thứ tư đời người trị vì.

²He began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

³Nầy là nền Sa-lô-môn đã lập đặng cất đền của Ðức Chúa Trời: bề dài, theo thước xưa, là sáu mươi thước, và bề ngang hai mươi thước.

³Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of God’s house. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

⁴Hiên cửa ở phía trước, bề dài hai mươi thước, y như bề ngang của đền vậy, và bề cao một trăm hai mươi thước; người bọc bề trong bằng vàng ròng.

⁴The porch that was in front, its length, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

⁵Cái vách đền lớn, người lợp bằng gỗ bá hương, và bọc vàng ròng, chạm hình cây chà là và dây xích ở trên.

⁵The greater house he made a ceiling with fir wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.

⁶Người lót đền bằng đá quí đặng trang sức nó; vàng là vàng Phạt-va-im.

⁶He garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

⁷Người lại bọc vàng cái đền, mè, ngạch cửa, vách, và cửa của đền, còn trên vách thì chạm hình chê-ru-bin.

⁷He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors, with gold; and engraved cherubim on the walls.

⁸Người cũng làm nơi chí thánh: bề dài hai mươi thước, y như bề ngang của đền, và bề ngang cũng hai mươi thước; người bọc nơi ấy bằng vàng ròng; vàng dùng cọng đặng sáu trăm ta lâng.

⁸He made the most holy house: its length, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

⁹Những đinh vàng cân nặng năm mươi siếc lơ; người cũng bọc vàng các phòng cao.

⁹The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold.

¹⁰Tại trong nơi chí thánh, người làm hai chê-ru-bin, cứ phép trổ tượng, rồi bọc vàng.

¹⁰In the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.

¹¹Bốn cánh của hai chê-ru-bin dài hai mươi thước; cánh này của chê-ru-bin bên hữu dài năm thước, đụng đến vách đền, còn cánh kia cũng dài năm thước, và đụng cánh của chê-ru-bin bên tả.

¹¹The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

¹²Cánh này của chê-ru-bin về bên tả dài năm thước, và đụng đến vách đền, còn cánh kia cũng dài năm thước, tiếp giáp với cánh chê-ru-bin về bên hữu.

¹²The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

¹³Các cánh của hai chê-ru-bên đều sè ra, cọng dài hai mươi thước; hai chê-ru-bin đứng thẳng chơn lên, ngảnh mặt hướng về nơi thánh.

¹³The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.

¹⁴Người lại chế bức màn bằng chỉ màu xanh, màu tím, màu đỏ sặm, cùng chỉ gai xe mịn, rồi ở trên thêu hình chê-ru-bin.

¹⁴He made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and ornamented it with cherubim.

¹⁵Ðằng trước đền, người xây hai cây trụ, bề cao ba mươi lăm thước, đầu trụ ở trên chót hai trụ được năm thước.

¹⁵Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

¹⁶Người lại làm dây xích giống như dây xích trong nơi chí thánh, để trên chót trụ, rồi làm một trăm trái lựu mà gắn nơi dây xích ấy.

¹⁶He made chains in the oracle, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

¹⁷Người dựng hai trụ đó ở trước đền thờ, cây nầy bên hữu, cây kia bên tả; đặt tên cây bên hữu là Gia-kin và cây bên tả là Bô-ách.

¹⁷He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
