¹Người hoạn, hoặc vì ngoại thận bị dập, hay là bị cắt, sẽ không được phép vào hội của Ðức Giê-hô-va.

¹He who is wounded in the stones, or has his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

²Con ngoại tình không được phép vào hội của Ðức Giê-hô-va, dầu đến đời thứ mười cũng chẳng vào được.

²A bastard shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

³Dân Am-môn và dân Mô-áp sẽ không được phép vào hội Ðức Giê-hô-va, dầu đến đời thứ mười cũng chẳng hề bao giờ vào được;

³An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of Yahweh forever:

⁴bởi vì khi các ngươi ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô, chúng nó không đem bánh và nước ra rước các ngươi trên đường, và bởi vì chúng nó có mướn Ba-la-am, con trai Bê-ô, ở Phê-thô-rơ tại Mê-sô-bô-ta-mi, đi đến rủa sả ngươi.

⁴because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

⁵Nhưng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi không chịu nghe Ba-la-am, bèn đổi sự rủa sả ra sự chúc phước cho ngươi, vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi thương mến ngươi.

⁵Nevertheless Yahweh your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam; but Yahweh your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because Yahweh your God loved you.

⁶Trọn đời ngươi chớ hề cầu sự bình an hoặc sự ích lợi cho chúng nó.

⁶You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

⁷Chớ lấy làm gớm ghiếc người Ê-đôm, vì là anh em mình. Cũng chớ lấy làm gớm ghiếc người Ê-díp-tô, vì ngươi đã làm khách trong xứ người,

⁷You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

⁸con cháu họ sanh về đời thứ ba sẽ được phép vào hội Ðức Giê-hô-va.

⁸The children of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

⁹Khi ngươi kéo binh ra hãm đánh quân thù nghịch mình, hãy coi chừng về mọi việc ác.

⁹When you go forth in camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

¹⁰Ví bằng trong các ngươi có ai không được tinh sạch bởi mộng di xảy đến lúc ban đêm, thì người đó phải đi ra ngoài trại quân, chớ vào;

¹⁰If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp:

¹¹buổi chiều người sẽ tắm trong nước, rồi khi mặt trời vừa lặn, sẽ vào trại quân lại.

¹¹but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

¹²Ngươi phải có một chỗ riêng ở ngoài trại quân; ấy là nơi ngươi phải đi ra;

¹²You shall have a place also outside of the camp, where you shall go forth abroad:

¹³phải có một cây nọc với đồ tùy thân, khi nào muốn đi ra ngoài, hãy lấy cây nọc nầy mà đào, rồi khi đi, phải lấp phẩn mình lại.

¹³and you shall have a paddle among your weapons; and it shall be, when you sit down abroad, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn back and cover that which comes from you:

¹⁴Bởi vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi đi giữa trại quân ngươi, đặng giải cứu người và phó kẻ thù nghịch cho. Vậy, trại quân ngươi phải thánh, kẻo Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi thấy sự ô uế ơ nơi ngươi, và xây mặt khỏi ngươi chăng.

¹⁴for Yahweh your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

¹⁵Khi tôi tớ trốn khỏi chủ mình chạy đến nhà ngươi, chớ nộp nó lại cho chủ;

¹⁵You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:

¹⁶nó sẽ ở với ngươi tại giữa xứ ngươi, trong nơi nào nó chọn, tức trong một thành nào của ngươi mà nó lấy làm ưa thích; chớ hà hiếp nó.

¹⁶he shall dwell with you, in the midst of you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best: you shall not oppress him.

¹⁷Trong vòng con gái Y-sơ-ra-ên, chớ có người nào chuyên sự buôn hương; trong vòng con trai Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng chớ có người nào chuyên sự tà dâm.

¹⁷There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

¹⁸Mặc dầu sự hứa nguyện ngươi thể nào, chớ đem vào nhà của Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, hoặc tiền công của một con đĩ, hay là giá trả cho một con chó; vì cả hai đều lấy làm gớm ghiếc cho Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi.

¹⁸You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of Yahweh your God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination to Yahweh your God.

¹⁹Ngươi chớ đòi lời-lãi gì nơi anh em mình về tiền bạc, về đồ ăn hay là về món nào mặc dầu người ta cho vay, để ăn lời.

¹⁹You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest:

²⁰Ngươi được phép lấy lợi người ngoại bang, nhưng chớ lấy lợi anh em mình, để Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi ban phước cho ngươi về mọi việc ngươi sẽ làm trong xứ mà ngươi sẽ vào để nhận lấy.

²⁰to a foreigner you may lend on interest; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

²¹Khi ngươi hứa nguyện cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, thì chớ trì hoãn làm cho xong; vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi hẳn sẽ đòi sự hoàn nguyện ấy; bằng chẳng làm cho xong, ngươi sẽ mang lấy tội.

²¹When you shall vow a vow to Yahweh your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for Yahweh your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

²²Nhưng nếu ngươi không hứa nguyện, thì không phạm tội.

²²But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.

²³Khi môi ngươi đã hứa cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi một sự hứa nguyện lạc ý, thì khá cẩn thận làm trọn lời ra khỏi miệng mình đó.

²³That which is gone out of your lips you shall observe and do; according as you have vowed to Yahweh your God, a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth.

²⁴Khi ngươi vào vườn nho của kẻ lân cận mình, thì có phép ăn nho, tùy theo miệng ăn ngon no nê, song không được bỏ trong giỏ mình.

²⁴When you come into your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel.

²⁵Khi ngươi vào đồng lúa mì của kẻ lân cận mình, thì được phép lấy tay rứt gié lúa; nhưng chớ đặt lưỡi hái vào đồng lúa mì của kẻ lân cận mình.

²⁵When you come into your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.
