¹Khốn cho A-ri-ên, cho A-ri-ên, là thành Ða-vít đã đóng trại! Năm lại thêm năm, trải qua các kỳ lễ.

¹Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;

²Bấy giờ ta sẽ làm cho A-ri-ên thắt ngặt; tại đó sẽ có tang chế than vãn; nhưng nó vẫn còn làm A-ri-ên cho ta.

²then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth or, Ariel .

³Ta sẽ đóng trại vây ngươi, lập đồn hãm ngươi, đắp lũy nghịch cùng ngươi.

³I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.

⁴Ngươi sẽ bị hạ xuống, nói ra từ dưới đất, giọng ngươi rầm rĩ từ bụi đất mà ra. Tiếng ngươi lên khỏi đất giống tiếng đồng bóng, lời nói ngươi thỏ thẻ ra từ bụi đất.

⁴You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.

⁵Nhưng muôn vàn kẻ thù ngươi sẽ như bụi nhỏ, lũ cường bạo như trấu bay đi; sự đó sẽ xảy đến thình lình chỉ trong một lát.

⁵But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.

⁶Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân sẽ dùng sấm sét, động đất, tiếng ầm, gió lốc, bão, và ngọn lửa thiêu nuốt mà thăm phạt nó.

⁶She will be visited by Yahweh of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.

⁷Như chiêm bao, như sự hiện thấy trong ban đêm thể nào, thì quân chúng của mọi nước đánh A-ri-ên, hết thảy đều hãm thành và đồn lũy, mà ép riết nó, cũng thể ấy.

⁷The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.

⁸Như người đói chiêm bao thấy ăn, mà thức dậy, bụng vẫn trống; như người khát chiêm bao thấy uống, mà thức dậy, nghe trong mình kiệt đi và khát khao, cả quân chúng của mọi nước đánh núi Si-ôn khác nào như vậy.

⁸It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

⁹Hãy sững sờ và kinh hãi! Hãy mù mắt và quáng lòa! Họ say, nhưng không phải vì rượu; xoàng ba, nhưng không phải bởi rượu mạnh.

⁹Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

¹⁰Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va đã rải thần ngủ mê khắp trên các ngươi; đã bịt mắt các ngươi, tức là các kẻ tiên tri; đã trùm đầu các ngươi, tức là các kẻ tiên kiến.

¹⁰For Yahweh has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.

¹¹Vậy nên mọi sự hiện thấy đối với các ngươi đã nên như lời của quyển sách đóng ấn, đưa cho người biết đọc, mà rằng: Xin đọc sách nầy! thì nó trả lời rằng: Tôi không đọc được, vì sách nầy có đóng ấn;

¹¹All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed:”

¹²hoặc đưa cho người không biết đọc, mà rằng: Xin đọc sách nầy! thì nó rằng: Tôi không biết đọc.

¹²and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t read.”

¹³Chúa có phán rằng: Vì dân nầy chỉ lấy miệng tới gần ta, lấy môi miếng tôn ta, mà lòng chúng nó thì cách xa ta lắm; sự chúng nó kính sợ ta chẳng qua là điều răn của loài người, bởi loài người dạy cho;

¹³The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;

¹⁴Vì cớ đó, ta sẽ cứ làm việc lạ lùng giữa dân nầy, sự lạ rất lạ, đến nỗi sự khôn ngoan của người khôn ngoan sẽ ra hư không, sự thông sáng của người thông sáng sẽ bị giấu.

¹⁴therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”

¹⁵Khốn thay cho những kẻ giấu kín mưu mình cách thẳm sâu khỏi Ðức Giê-hô-va, làm việc mình trong xó tối, và nói rằng: Ai thấy ta, ai biết ta?

¹⁵Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose works are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”

¹⁶Các ngươi thật là trái ngược quá, há nên xem người thợ gốm như đất sét sao? Ðồ vật há được nói về kẻ làm nên mình rằng: Nó chẳng làm ra ta? Cái bình há được nói về kẻ tạo mình rằng: Nó chẳng có trí hiểu đâu.

¹⁶You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay; that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding?”

¹⁷Chẳng phải còn ít lâu nữa, thì Li-ban sẽ đổi làm ruộng tốt, và ruộng tốt sẽ được kể như rừng rậm sao?

¹⁷Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?

¹⁸Trong ngày đó, kẻ điếc sẽ nghe những lời trong sách; con mắt của kẻ đui sẽ xem thấy từ sự tối tăm mù mịt.

¹⁸In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

¹⁹Những người nhu mì cũng sẽ được thêm sự vui vẻ trong Ðức Giê-hô-va, những kẻ nghèo khổ trong loài người sẽ nhơn Ðấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên mà mừng rỡ.

¹⁹The humble also will increase their joy in Yahweh, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

²⁰Vì người bạo ngược đã bị diệt; kẻ khinh lờn đã mất đi, phàm những kẻ nhơn dịp làm sự ác đã bị trừ tiệt,

²⁰For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—

²¹tức những kẻ lấy lời nói định tội người ta, gài bẫy cho những người kiện cáo trước cửa, lấy sự hư không làm khuất công bình.

²¹who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for the arbiter in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.

²²Vậy nên, Ðức Giê-hô-va, là Ðấng đã chuộc Áp-ra-ham, có phán về nhà Gia-cốp như vầy: Gia-cốp sẽ không còn hổ thẹn, và mặt nó sẽ chẳng tái nữa.

²²Therefore thus says Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.

²³Nhưng khi nó thấy các con trai mình là việc tay ta làm ra giữa họ, thì sẽ tôn danh ta là thánh; tôn sùng Ðấng Thánh của Gia-cốp, kính sợ Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên.

²³But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

²⁴Những kẻ lòng vốn sai lầm sẽ trở nên khôn sáng, kẻ hay oán trách sẽ được dạy dỗ.

²⁴They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
