¹Gióp cất tiếng đáp rằng:

¹Then Job answered,

²Ngươi đã phù trợ kẻ không quyền dường nào! Tiếp cứu cánh tay chẳng sức lực,

²“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!

³Khuyên luận kẻ vô tri, Và tỏ biết bao sự khôn sáng chơn thật!

³How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

⁴Người đã giảng luận cho ai? Linh hồn của ai bởi người mà ra?

⁴To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?

⁵Kẻ qua đời run rảy Dưới nước lớn, và muôn vật ở đó cũng vậy.

⁵“Those who are deceased tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

⁶Aâm phủ bày lộ ra trước mặt Ðức Chúa Trời, Và vực sâu không màn che khuất,

⁶ Sheol Sheol is the lower world or the grave. is naked before God, and Abaddon Abaddon means Destroyer. has no covering.

⁷Chúa trải bắc cực ra trên vùng trống, Treo trái đất trong khoảng không không.

⁷He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

⁸Ngài ém nước trong các áng mây Ngài, Mà áng mây không bứt ra vì nước ấy.

⁸He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.

⁹Ngài che khuất bề mặt của ngai Ngài, Và trải mây Ngài ở trên nó.

⁹He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.

¹⁰Ngài đã vẽ một vòng tròn trên mặt nước, Cho đến nơi giới cực của ánh sáng và tối tăm giáp nhau.

¹⁰He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.

¹¹Nhưng trụ của các từng trời rúng động, Và sững sờ khi Ðức Chúa Trời hăm dọa.

¹¹The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

¹²Ngài lấy quyền năng mình mà khiến biển dậy lên, Và nhờ sự khôn ngoan mình mà đánh vỡ Ra-háp.

¹²He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

¹³Thần Chúa điểm trang các từng trời; Tay Chúa đấm lũng rắn thoảng qua lẹ.

¹³By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

¹⁴Kìa, ấy chỉ là biên giới của các đường lối Ngài; Ta được nghe tiếng nói về Chúa xầm xì nhỏ thay! Nhưng ai hiểu rõ tiếng sấm của quyền năng Ngài?

¹⁴Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
