²⁸The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinim, and all those who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge, and understanding—

²⁹they joined with their brothers, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;

³⁰Chúng tôi hứa không gả các con gái chúng tôi cho dân tộc của xứ, và chẳng cưới con gái chúng nó cho con trai chúng tôi;

³⁰and that we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons;

³¹lại hứa rằng nếu trong ngày sa bát hay ngày thánh nào, dân của xứ đem hoặc những hóa vật, hoặc các thứ lương thực đặng bán cho, thì chúng tôi sẽ chẳng mua; và qua năm thứ bảy, chúng tôi sẽ để cho đất hoang, và chẳng đòi nợ nào hết.

³¹and if the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy of them on the Sabbath, or on a holy day; and that we would forego the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

³²Chúng tôi cũng định lấy lệ buộc chúng tôi mỗi năm dâng một phần ba siếc-lơ dùng về các công việc của đền Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi,

³²Also we made ordinances for ourselves, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;

³³về bánh trần thiết, về của lễ chay thường dâng, về của lễ thiêu hằng hiến, về của lễ dâng trong ngày sa-bát, trong ngày mồng một, và trong các ngày lễ trọng thể, lại dùng về các vật thánh, về của lễ chuộc tội cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, và về các công việc làm trong đền Ðức Chúa Trời của chúng tôi.

³³for the show bread, and for the continual meal offering, and for the continual burnt offering, for the Sabbaths, for the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.

³⁴Chúng tôi, là những thầy tế lễ, người Lê-vi, và dân sự khác, bắt thăm về việc dâng củi lửa, đặng mỗi năm, theo kỳ nhất định, tùy nhà tổ phụ mình, mà đem những củi đến đền của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi, hầu cho đốt trên bàn thờ của Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của chúng tôi, y như đã chép trong luật pháp vậy.

³⁴We cast lots, the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers’ houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn on the altar of Yahweh our God, as it is written in the law;

³⁵Chúng tôi cũng định mỗi năm đem vật đầu mùa của đất chúng tôi, và các thứ trái đầu mùa của các cây chúng tôi đến đền của Ðức Giê-hô-va;

³⁵and to bring the first fruits of our ground, and the first fruits of all fruit of all kinds of trees, year by year, to the house of Yahweh;

³⁶lại chiếu theo luật pháp, đem luôn con đầu lòng trong vòng các con trai chúng tôi, và con đầu lòng của súc vật chúng tôi, hoặc chiên hay bò, đến đền thờ Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi mà giao cho những thầy tế lễ hầu việc trong đền của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi.

³⁶also the firstborn of our sons, and of our livestock, as it is written in the law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God;

³⁷Chúng tôi cũng hứa đem của đầu mùa về bột nhồi của chúng tôi, về của lễ giơ lên, bông trái của các thứ cây, rượu mới, và dầu, mà giao cho những thầy tế lễ, trong các kho tàng của đền Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi; còn một phần mười huê lợi đất của chúng tôi thì đem nộp cho người Lê-vi; vì người Lê-vi thâu lấy một phần mười trong thổ sản của ruộng đất về các thành chúng tôi.

³⁷and that we should bring the first fruits of our dough, and our wave offerings, and the fruit of all kinds of trees, the new wine and the oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground to the Levites; for they, the Levites, take the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

³⁸Thầy tế lễ, con cháu của A-rôn, sẽ đi với người Lê-vi, khi họ thâu lấy thuế một phần mười; rồi họ sẽ đem một phần mười của trong thuế một phần mười ấy đến đền của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi, để tại nơi phòng của kho tàng.

³⁸The priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house.

³⁹Vì dân Y-sơ-ra-ên và người Lê-vi sẽ đem các của lễ giơ lên bằng lúa mì, rượu, và dầu mới vào trong những phòng ấy, là nơi có các khí dụng của đền thánh, những thầy tế lễ hầu việc, kẻ canh cửa và những người ca hát. Vậy, chúng tôi sẽ chẳng lìa bỏ đền của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi đâu.

³⁹For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the wave offering of the grain, of the new wine, and of the oil, to the rooms, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests who minister, and the porters, and the singers. We will not forsake the house of our God.
