¹Hỡi Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, tôi nương náu mình nơi Ngài; Xin hãy cứu tôi khỏi kẻ rượt đuổi tôi, và thoát giải tôi,

¹Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you. Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,

²Kẻo kẻ thù nghịch xé tôi như con sư tử, Và phân tôi từ mảnh, không ai giải cứu cho.

²lest they tear apart my soul like a lion, ripping it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

³Hỡi Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, nhược bằng tôi đã làm điều ấy, Và có sự gian ác nơi tay tôi;

³Yahweh, my God, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in my hands,

⁴Nếu tôi đã trả ác cho người ở hòa hảo cùng tôi, Và cướp lột kẻ hiếp tôi vô cớ,

⁴if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me (yes, if I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),

⁵Thì đáng cho kẻ thù nghịch đuổi theo tôi kịp Giày đạp mạng sống tôi dưới đất, Và làm rạp vinh hiển tôi xuống bụi đất.

⁵let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; yes, let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

⁶Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy nổi thạnh nộ mà chổi dậy; Hãy dấy nghịch cùng sự giận hoảng của kẻ hiếp tôi; Khá tỉnh thức mà giúp đỡ tôi; Ngài đã truyền định sự đoán xét rồi.

⁶Arise, Yahweh, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries. Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.

⁷Hội các dân tộc sẽ vây phủ từ phía Ngài; Còn Ngài vì chúng phải trở lên cao.

⁷Let the congregation of the peoples surround you. Rule over them on high.

⁸Ðức Giê-hô-va đoán xét các dân. Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy đoán xét tôi theo sự công bình tôi, Và theo sự thanh liêm ở nơi lòng tôi.

⁸Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.

⁹Ồ, Ðức Chúa Trời công bình! là Ðấng dò xét lòng dạ loài người, Xin hãy khiến cùng tận sự gian ác kẻ dữ, Song hãy làm cho vững vàng người công bình.

⁹Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.

¹⁰Ðức Chúa Trời là cái khiên tôi, Ngài là Ðấng cứu rỗi những kẻ có lòng ngay thẳng.

¹⁰My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.

¹¹Ðức Chúa Trời là quan án công bình, Thật là Ðức Chúa Trời hằng ngày nổi giận cùng kẻ ác.

¹¹God is a righteous judge, yes, a God who has indignation every day.

¹²Nếu kẻ ác không hối cải, thì Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ mài gươm: Ngài đã giương cung mà chực cho sẵn,

¹²If a man doesn’t relent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow.

¹³Cũng đã vì nó sắm sửa khí giới làm chết, Và làm những tên Ngài phừng lửa.

¹³He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.

¹⁴Kìa, kẻ dữ đương đẻ gian ác; Thật nó đã hoài thai sự khuấy khỏa, và sanh điều dối trá.

¹⁴Behold, he travails with iniquity. Yes, he has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

¹⁵Nó đào một hố sâu, Nhưng lại té vào hố nó đã đào.

¹⁵He has dug a hole, and has fallen into the pit which he made.

¹⁶Sự khuấy khỏa nó đã làm sẽ đổ lại trên đầu nó. Và sự hung hăng nó giáng trên trán nó.

¹⁶The trouble he causes shall return to his own head. His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.

¹⁷Tôi sẽ ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va y theo sự công bình Ngài, Và ca tụng danh Ðức Giê-hô-va là Ðấng Chí cao.

¹⁷I will give thanks to Yahweh according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.
