¹Tôi nhìn xem, khi Chiên Con mở ấn thứ nhứt trong bảy ấn thì tôi thấy một con trong bốn con sanh vật nói tiếng như sấm rằng: Hãy đến!

¹I saw that the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as with a voice of thunder, “Come and see!”

²Tôi nhìn xem, thấy một con ngựa bạch. Người cỡi ngựa có một cái cung; có kẻ ban cho người một cái mão triều thiên, và người đi như kẻ đã thắng lại đến đâu cũng thắng.

²And behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow. A crown was given to him, and he came forth conquering, and to conquer.

³Khi Chiên Con mở ấn thứ nhì, tôi nghe con sanh vật thứ nhì nói: Hãy đến!

³When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!”

⁴Liền có con ngựa khác sắc hồng hiện ra. Kẻ ngồi trên ngựa được quyền cất lấy cuộc hòa bình khỏi thế gian, hầu cho người ta giết lẫn nhau; và có kẻ ban cho người một thanh gươm lớn.

⁴Another came forth, a red horse. To him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. There was given to him a great sword.

⁵Khi Chiên Con mở ấn thứ ba, tôi nghe con sanh vật thứ ba nói: Hãy đến! Tôi nhìn xem, thấy một con ngựa ô. Kẻ ngồi trên ngựa tay cầm cái cân.

⁵When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come and see!” And behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a balance in his hand.

⁶Tôi lại nghe ở giữa bốn con sanh vật như có tiếng nói rằng: Một đấu lúa mình bán một đơ-ni-ê, còn dầu và rượu chớ động đến.

⁶I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A choenix A choenix is a dry volume measure that is a little more than a litre (a little more than a quart). of wheat for a denarius, and three choenix of barley for a denarius! Don’t damage the oil and the wine!”

⁸Tôi nhìn xem, thấy một con ngựa vàng vàng hiện ra. Người cỡi ngựa ấy tên là Sự Chết, và Aâm phủ theo sau người. Họ được quyền trên một góc tư thế gian, đặng sát hại dân sự bằng gươm dao, bằng đói kém, bằng dịch lệ và bằng các loài thú dự trên đất.

⁸And behold, a pale horse, and he who sat on it, his name was Death. Hades or, Hell followed with him. Authority over one fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine, with death, and by the wild animals of the earth was given to him.

⁹Khi Chiên Con mở ấn thứ năm, tôi thấy dưới bàn thờ có những linh hồn của kẻ đã chịu giết vì đạo Ðức Chúa Trời và vì lời chứng họ đã làm.

⁹When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they had.

¹⁰Chúng đều kêu lên lớn tiếng rằng: Lạy Chúa là Ðấng thánh và chơn thật, Chúa trì hưỡn xét đoán và chẳng vì huyết chúng tôi báo thù những kẻ ở trên đất cho đến chừng nào?

¹⁰They cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

¹¹Có kẻ bèn cho họ mỗi người một cái áo trắng dài; và có lời phán rằng phải ở yên ít lâu nữa, cho đến khi được đủ số người cùng làm việc và anh em mình phải bị giết như mình vậy.

¹¹A long white robe was given to each of them. ¹⁵các vua ở trên đất, các quan lớn, các tướng quân, các kẻ giàu, các kẻ quyền thế, các kẻ tôi mọi, các người tự chủ đều ẩn mình trong hang hố cùng hòn đá lớn trên núi,

¹⁵The kings of the earth, the princes, the commanding officers, the rich, the strong, and every slave and free person, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.

¹⁶chúng nói với núi và đá lớn rằng: Hãy rơi xuống chận trên chúng ta, đặng tránh khỏi mặt của Ðấng ngự trên ngôi, và khỏi cơn giận của Chiên Con!

¹⁶They told the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb,

¹⁷Vì ngày thạnh nộ lớn của Ngài đã đến, còn ai đứng nổi?

¹⁷for the great day of his wrath has come; and who is able to stand?”
