¹Vị thiên sứ thứ năm thổi loa, thì tôi thấy một ngôi sao từ trời rơi xuống đất, và được ban cho chìa khóa của vực sâu không đáy.

¹The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him.

²Ngôi sao ấy mở vực sâu không đáy ra, có một luồng khói dưới vực bay lên, như khói của lò lửa lớn; một trời và không khí đều bị tối tăm bởi luồng khói của vực.

²He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a TR adds “great” burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.

³Từ luồng khói ấy, có những châu chấu bay ra rải trên mặt đất; và có kẻ ban cho chúng nó quyền giống như bọ cạp ở đất vậy.

³Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

⁴Có lời truyền cho chúng nó chớ làm hại loài cỏ ở đất, thứ xanh và cây cối nào, nhưng chỉ làm hại những người không có ấn Ðức Chúa Trời ở trên trán.

⁴They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads.

⁵Lại cho chúng nó phép, không phải là giết, nhưng là làm khổ những người đó trong năm tháng, và sự làm khổ ấy giống như sự làm khổ khi bọ cạp cắn người ta.

⁵They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.

⁶Trong những ngày đó, người ta sẽ tìm sự chết, mà không tìm được; họ sẽ ước ao chết đi mà sự chết tránh xa.

⁶In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

⁷Những châu chấu đó giống như những ngựa sắm sẵn để đem ra chiến trận: trên đầu nó có như mão triều thiên tợ hồ bằng vàng, và mặt nó như mḀ·t người ta;

⁷The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people’s faces.

⁸nó có tóc giống tóc đờn bà, và răng nó như răng sư tử.

⁸They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.

⁹Nó có giáp như giáp bằng sắt; và tiếng cánh nó như tiếng của nhiều xe có nhiều ngựa kéo chạy ra nơi chiến trường.

⁹They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.

¹⁰Ðuôi nó có nọc, như bọ cạp, ấy bởi trong những đuôi đó mà chúng nó có quyền hại người ta trong năm tháng.

¹⁰They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months.

¹¹Nó có vua đứng đầu, là sứ giả của vực sâu, tiếng Hê-bơ-rơ gọi là A-ba-đôn, tiếng Gờ-réc là A-bô-ly-ôn.

¹¹They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon,” “Abaddon” is a Hebrew word that means ruin, destruction, or the place of destruction but in Greek, he has the name “Apollyon.” “Apollyon” means “Destroyer.”

¹²Nạn thứ nhứt đã qua; nay còn hai nạn nữa đến sau nó.

¹²The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.

¹³Vị thiên sứ thứ sáu thổi loa, thì tôi nghe có tiếng ra từ bốn góc bàn thờ bằng vàng đặt trước mặt Ðức Chúa Trời.

¹³The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,

¹⁴Tiếng ấy nói cùng vị thiên sứ thứ sáu đương cầm loa rằng: Hãy cổi cho bốn vị thiên sứ bị trói trên bờ sông Ơ-phơ-rát.

¹⁴saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, “Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”

¹⁵Bốn vị thiên sứ bèn được cổi trói, đã chực sẵn đến giờ, ngày, tháng, và năm ấy, hầu cho tiêu diệt một phần ba loài người.

¹⁵The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.

¹⁶Số binh kỵ mã của đạo quân là hai trăm triệu; số đó tôi đã nghe.

¹⁶The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million literally, “ten thousands of ten thousands” . I heard the number of them.

¹⁷Kìa trong sự hiện thấy, tôi thấy những ngựa và kẻ cỡi ra làm sao: những kẻ ấy đều mặc giáp màu lửa, mầu tía, mầu lưu hoàng; đầu ngự giống sư tử, và miệng nó có phun lửa, khói và diêm sanh.

¹⁷Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.

¹⁸Một phần ba loài người bị giết vì ba tai nạn đó, là lửa, khói, và diêm sanh ra từ miệng ngựa.

¹⁸By these three plagues were one third of mankind killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.

¹⁹Vì quyền phép của những ngựa ấy ở nơi miệng và đuôi nó; những đuôi ấy giống như con rắn, và có đầu, nhờ đó nó làm hại người.

¹⁹For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.

²⁰Còn những người sót lại, chưa bị các tai nạn đó giết đi, vẫn không ăn năn những công việc bởi tay chúng nó làm cứ thờ lạy ma quỉ cùng thần tượng bằng vàng, bạc, đồng, đã và gỗ, là những tượng không thấy, không nghe, không đi được.

²⁰The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.

²¹Chúng nó cũng không ăn năn những tội giết người, tà thuật, gian dâm, trộm cướp của mình nữa.

²¹They didn’t repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, The word for “sorceries” (pharmakeia) also implies the use of potions, poisons, and drugs nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
