1Then all Israel gathered themselves to David to Hebron, saying, “Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
1大卫受膏作犹大王（撒下5:1-3）
2In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. Yahweh your God said to you, ‘You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.’”
2从前扫罗作王的时候，是你率领以色列人出入征战；耶和华你的 神曾对你说过：‘你要牧养我的人民以色列，你要作我的人民以色列的领袖。’”
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahweh; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of Yahweh by Samuel.
3于是以色列的众长老都来到希伯仑见大卫王，大卫就在希伯仑，在耶和华面前与他们立约，他们就按照耶和华借着撒母耳所说的话，膏立大卫作王治理以色列。
4David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (the same is Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.
4大卫攻取耶路撒冷（撒下5:6-10）大卫和以色列众人来到耶路撒冷，耶路撒冷就是耶布斯。那时，当地的居民耶布斯人住在那里。
5The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You shall not come in here.” Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion. The same is the city of David.
5耶布斯的居民对大卫说：“你不能进这里来。”可是大卫占领了锡安的堡垒，锡安就是大卫城。
6David said, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain.” Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was made chief.
6大卫说：“谁首先攻打耶布斯人，谁就必作首领和元帅。”洗鲁雅的儿子约押首先上去，就作了首领。
7David lived in the stronghold; therefore they called it the city of David.
7大卫住在堡垒中，因此人把那堡垒称为大卫城。
8He built the city all around, from Millo even around; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
8大卫又重建四周的城墙，从米罗起，以至城的周围；那城其余的部分由约押修建。
9David grew greater and greater; for Yahweh of Armies was with him.
9大卫日渐强盛，因为万军之耶和华与他同在。
10Now these are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who showed themselves strong with him in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of Yahweh concerning Israel.
10大卫的勇士（撒下23:8-39）以下这些人是大卫众勇士的首领，就是全力帮助他得国的，又与以色列人照着耶和华对以色列人所说的话一同膏立他作王。
11This is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the thirty; he lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them at one time.
11这是大卫众勇士的数目：哈革摩尼的儿子雅朔班，是三十勇士的首领；他挥舞矛枪，只一次就杀死了三百人。
12After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.
12其次是亚合人朵多的儿子以利亚撒，他是三勇士之一；
13He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where there was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
13他从前与大卫在巴斯．达闵，非利士人聚集在那里预备作战。那里有块长满大麦的田；众人从非利士人面前逃跑了。
14They stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and Yahweh saved them by a great victory.
14他们却站在那块田中间，保护了那块田，击杀了非利士人；这样耶和华拯救了以色列人，使他们获得极大的胜利。
15Three of the thirty chief men went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the army of the Philistines were encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
15三十个首领中有三个，下到亚杜兰洞附近的磐石那里去见大卫；非利士人的军队在利乏音谷安营。
16David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
16那时大卫在山寨中，非利士人的驻军在伯利恒。
17David longed, and said, “Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
17大卫渴望说：“谁能把伯利恒城门旁边池中的水，拿来给我喝！”
18The three broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh,
18这三个勇士就冲过非利士人的军营，从伯利恒城门旁边的池里取水，带到大卫那里去，大卫却不肯喝，把水倾在耶和华面前，
19and said, “My God forbid it me, that I should do this! Shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in jeopardy?” For they risked their lives to bring it. Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.
19说：“在我的 神面前，我绝对不可以这样作，我怎能喝这些冒生命危险的人的血呢？因为这是他们冒生命危险取回来的。”因此大卫不肯喝这水。这是三个勇士所行的事。
20Abishai, the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three; for he lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.
20约押的兄弟亚比筛，是三个勇士的首领；他挥舞矛枪刺死了三百人，因此在三个勇士中赢得了名声。
21Of the three, he was more honorable than the two, and was made their captain: however he didn’t attain to the three.
21他在这三个勇士中，是最尊贵的，只是还不及前三个勇士。
22Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab: he went down also and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.
22耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，是甲薛族的勇士，曾有伟大的作为；他击杀了摩押人亚利伊勒的两个儿子，又在下雪的日子，下到坑中去击杀了一只狮子。
23He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian’s hand was a spear like a weaver’s beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and killed him with his own spear.
23他又杀死了一个身高两百多公分的埃及人。这埃及人手里拿着矛枪，好像织布机轴，比拿雅只拿着棍子下去会他，竟从那埃及人手中把矛枪夺了过来，再用他的矛枪把他杀死。
24Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did these things, and had a name among the three mighty men.
24这是耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅所行的事，因此在三个勇士中赢得名声。
25Behold, he was more honorable than the thirty, but he didn’t attain to the three: and David set him over his guard.
25他比那三十个勇士更有声望，只是还不及前三个勇士。大卫立他作侍卫长。
26Also the mighty men of the armies: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
26军中勇士有约押的兄弟亚撒黑、伯利恒人朵多的儿子伊勒哈难、
27Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
27哈律人沙玛、比伦人希利斯、
28Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,
28提哥亚人益吉的儿子以拉、亚拿突人亚比以谢、
29Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
29户沙人亚比该、亚合人以来、
30Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
30尼陀法人玛哈莱、尼陀法人巴拿的儿子希立、
31Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

38Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri,
38拿单的兄弟约珥、哈基利的儿子弥伯哈、
39Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
39亚扪人洗勒、比录人拿哈莱；拿哈莱是替洗鲁雅的儿子约押拿兵器的。
40Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
40以帖人以拉、以帖人迦立、
41Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,
41赫人乌利亚、亚莱的儿子撒拔、
42Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,
42流本支派示撒的儿子亚第拿，他是流本支派的一个首领，有三十人跟随他。
43Hanan the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
43玛迦的儿子哈难、弥特尼人约沙法、
44Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,
44亚施他拉人乌西亚、亚罗珥人何坦的儿子沙玛和耶利、
45Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,

46Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
