1It happened, when David and his men had come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had made a raid on the South, and on Ziklag, and had struck Ziklag, and burned it with fire,

2and had taken captive the women and all who were therein, both small and great. They didn’t kill any, but carried them off, and went their way.
2他们把妇女和城里所有的人，无论大小都掳走了。他们没有杀人，都带着他们从原路回去了。
3When David and his men came to the city, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captive.
3大卫和跟随他的人到了那城，看见城已经被火烧毁，他们的妻子、儿女都被掳走了，
4Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
4就放声大哭，直哭到没有力气再哭。
5David’s two wives were taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
5大卫的两个妻子，耶斯列人亚希暖和作过拿八妻子的迦密人亚比该，也都被掳去了。
6David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David strengthened himself in Yahweh his God.
6大卫处境非常困难，因为众人都为自己的儿女心中苦恼，说要用石头打死大卫；但大卫靠着耶和华他的 神坚强起来。
7David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Please bring me here the ephod.” Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
7大卫追杀亚玛力人大卫对亚希米勒的儿子、亚比亚他祭司说：“请你把以弗得带到我这里来。”亚比亚他就把以弗得带到大卫那里去。
8David inquired of Yahweh, saying, “If I pursue after this troop, shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue; for you shall surely overtake them, and shall without fail recover all.”
8大卫求问耶和华说：“我可以追赶这群匪徒吗？我可以追上他们吗？”耶和华回答他：“你可以追赶，你必定追上，也必定把一切救回来。”
9So David went, he and the six hundred men who were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those who were left behind stayed.
9于是大卫和跟随他的六百人出发。他们到了比梭溪，有些跟不上的就留在那里。
10But David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred stayed behind, who were so faint that they couldn’t go over the brook Besor.
10有二百人太疲乏，不能渡过比梭溪，就留在那里，大卫和四百人继续追赶。
11They found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he ate; and they gave him water to drink.
11他们在田野里遇见一个埃及人，就把他带到大卫那里。他们给他饭吃，又给他水喝。
12They gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins. when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him; for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.
12又给他一块无花果饼，两个葡萄饼。他吃了，精神就恢复过来，因为他已经三天三夜没有吃东西，没有喝水了。
13David asked him, “To whom do you belong? Where are you from?” He said, “I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days ago I fell sick.
13大卫问他：“你是属谁的？你从哪里来？”他回答：“我是个埃及的青年人，是亚玛力人的奴仆。因为我三天前病了，我的主人就把我丢弃了。
14We made a raid on the South of the Cherethites, and on that which belongs to Judah, and on the South of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.”
14我们侵袭了基利提的南方和属犹大地的南方，以及迦勒地的南方，又用火烧了洗革拉。”
15David said to him, “Will you bring me down to this troop?” He said, “Swear to me by God that you will neither kill me, nor deliver me up into the hands of my master, and I will bring you down to this troop.”
15大卫对他说：“你愿意带我下到那一群匪徒那里吗？”他回答：“如果你指着 神向我起誓，不杀死我，也不把我交在我主人手里，我就带你下到那一群匪徒那里去。”
16When he had brought him down, behold, they were spread around over all the ground, eating, drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.
16他带大卫下去。匪徒们都分散在各处，正在吃喝、跳舞，因为他们从非利士地和犹大地抢来的战利品很多。
17David struck them from the twilight even to the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped from there, except four hundred young men, who rode on camels and fled.
17大卫击杀他们，从黄昏直到次日的晚上。除了四百个骑骆驼的年轻人逃跑了以外，他们当中一个人也没有逃脱。
18David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken; and David rescued his two wives.
18亚玛力人抢去的一切，大卫都救回来了，也救回了他的两个妻子。
19There was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor anything that they had taken to them. David brought back all.
19无论大小，不分男女，无论是他们抢来的，或是被人掳去的，大卫都夺回来，没有失落一样。
20David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drove before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”
20大卫夺了所有的羊群和牛群，跟从大卫的人把它们赶到原有的群畜面前，说：“这是大卫的战利品。”
21David came to the two hundred men, who were so faint that they could not follow David, whom also they had made to stay at the brook Besor; and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people who were with him. When David came near to the people, he greeted them.
21定分掠物的条例大卫来到那二百人那里，那些人因太疲乏不能跟随大卫去，而留在比梭溪旁；他们出来迎接大卫和跟随他的众人。大卫接近众人的时候，就向他们问安。
22Then all the wicked men and base fellows, of those who went with David, answered and said, “Because they didn’t go with us, we will not give them anything of the spoil that we have recovered, except to every man his wife and his children, that he may lead them away, and depart.”
22与大卫一起去的那些人中，有些恶人和流氓说：“他们没有和我们一起去，我们就不把夺回来的战利品分给他们，只把他们各人的妻子和儿子还给他们，让他们领回去就是了。”
23Then David said, “You shall not do so, my brothers, with that which Yahweh has given to us, who has preserved us, and delivered the troop that came against us into our hand.
23大卫说：“兄弟们，耶和华赐给我们的，你们不可以这样作。他保护了我们，又把那些攻击我们的匪徒交在我们手里。
24Who will listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall his share be who tarries by the baggage: they shall share alike.”
24这事谁要听从你们呢？下战场的得多少，留守武器的也得多少，应当大家平分。”
25It was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.
25从那天起，大卫定此为以色列的律例典章，直到今日。
26When David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil to the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, “Behold, a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of Yahweh.”
26送礼给犹大各城大卫到了洗革拉，就从战利品中取一部分送给他的朋友、犹大的长老，说：“看哪，这是从耶和华的仇敌那里得来的战利品，送给你们作礼物。”
27He sent it to those who were in Bethel, and to those who were in Ramoth of the South, and to those who were in Jattir,
27他送礼物给在伯特利的、在南地拉末的、在雅提珥的、
28and to those who were in Aroer, and to those who were in Siphmoth, and to those who were in Eshtemoa,
28在亚罗珥的、在息末的、在以实提莫的、
29and to those who were in Racal, and to those who were in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, and to those who were in the cities of the Kenites,
29在拉哈勒的、在耶拉蔑各城的、在基尼各城的、
30and to those who were in Hormah, and to those who were in Borashan, and to those who were in Athach,
30在何珥玛的、在歌拉珊的、在亚挞的、
31and to those who were in Hebron, and to all the places where David himself and his men used to stay.
31在希伯仑的人，又送给一切大卫及其跟随者所到过之地的人。
