1Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Yahweh your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it;
1爱 神是诫命中之诫命
2that you might fear Yahweh your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
2好叫你和你的子子孙孙一生一世敬畏耶和华你的 神，遵守他的一切律例、诫命，就是我吩咐你的，使你的日子可以长久。
3Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
3以色列啊，你要听从，就谨守遵行，使你在流奶与蜜的地可以享福，人数大大增多，像耶和华你列祖的 神应许你的。
4Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God; Yahweh is one:
4“以色列啊，你要听，耶和华我们的 神是独一的耶和华；
5and you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
5你要全心、全性、全力爱耶和华你的 神。
6These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart;
6我今日吩咐你的这些话，都要记在你的心上；
7and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
7你要把这些话不断地教训你的儿女，无论你坐在家里，或行在路上，或躺下，或起来的时候，都要谈论。
8You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes.
8你也要把这些话系在手上作记号，戴在额上作头带。
9You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates.
9又要写在你房屋的门柱上和城门上。
10It shall be, when Yahweh your God shall bring you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities, which you didn’t build,
10不可随从、敬拜别的神“耶和华你的 神领你进入他向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许给你的地；那里有不是你建造的，又高大又美丽的城市，
11and houses full of all good things, which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out, which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full;
11有装满各样美物的房子，不是你装满的；有凿成的水池，不是你凿成的；还有葡萄园和橄榄园，不是你栽种的；你可以吃，并且吃得饱足。
12then beware lest you forget Yahweh, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
12那时，你要谨慎，免得你忘记了耶和华，就是把你从埃及地，从为奴之家领出来的那一位。
13You shall fear Yahweh your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name.
13你要敬畏耶和华你的 神，要事奉他，奉他的名起誓。
14You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you;
14不可随从别的神，就是你们周围各民族的神；
15for Yahweh your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; lest the anger of Yahweh your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.
15因为在你们中间的耶和华你们的 神，是忌邪的 神，恐怕耶和华你的 神向你发怒，就把你从这地上消灭。
16You shall not tempt Yahweh your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
16“你们不可试探耶和华你们的 神，像你们在玛撒试探他一样。
17You shall diligently keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
17要谨慎遵守耶和华你们的 神吩咐你的诫命、法度和律例。
18You shall do that which is right and good in the sight of Yahweh; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which Yahweh swore to your fathers,
18耶和华看为正为好的事，你都要去行，使你可以享福，并且可以进去占领耶和华向你的列祖起誓应许的那美地，
19to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as Yahweh has spoken.
19照着耶和华说过的，把你所有的仇敌从你面前赶逐出去。
20When your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Yahweh our God has commanded you mean?”
20“日后，如果你的儿子问你：‘耶和华我们的 神吩咐的这法度、律例和典章，有什么意思呢？’
21then you shall tell your son, “We were Pharaoh’s bondservants in Egypt: and Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;
21你就要对你的儿子说：‘我们在埃及曾经作过法老的奴仆，耶和华却用大能把我们从埃及领了出来。
22and Yahweh showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
22耶和华在我们眼前，把又伟大又厉害的神迹奇事行在埃及、法老和他全家的身上；
23and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.
23却把我们从那里领出来，为要领我们进入他向我们列祖起誓应许的地，要把这地赐给我们。
24Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as at this day.
24耶和华又吩咐我们遵行这一切律例，敬畏耶和华我们的 神，使我们常常得享福乐，使我们的生命得着保全，像今日一样。
25It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this commandment before Yahweh our God, as he has commanded us.”
25我们在耶和华我们的 神面前，如果照着他吩咐我们的，谨守遵行这一切诫命，这就是我们的义了。’”
