1In those days was Hezekiah sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.’”
1希西家病危与康复（王下20:1-11；代下32:24）
2Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Yahweh,
2希西家就转脸向墙，对耶和华祷告、
3and said, “Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Hezekiah wept bitterly.
3说：“耶和华啊！求你记念我在你面前怎样诚诚实实、以纯全的心来行事，又作你眼中看为善的事。”然后，希西家就痛哭起来。
4Then the word of Yahweh came to Isaiah, saying,
4耶和华的话临到以赛亚说：
5“Go, and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.
5“你去告诉希西家：‘耶和华你祖先大卫的 神这样说：我听见了你的祷告，看见了你的眼泪；看哪！我必在你的寿数上加添十五年。
6I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
6我必救你和这城脱离亚述王的手；我必保护这城。’
7This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken.
7以下就是耶和华给你的兆头，为要证明耶和华必成全他所说过的。
8Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down.”’”
8看哪！我要使亚哈斯日晷上那向前进的日影往后退十度。”于是那向前进的日影，果然在日晷上往后退了十度。
9The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and had recovered of his sickness.
9希西家的感恩歌犹大王希西家从病患中痊愈以后，就写了这诗：
10I said, “In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. . I am deprived of the residue of my years.”
10我曾说：在我盛年之际，我竟要进入阴间之门；我余剩的年日，竟被夺去。
11I said, “I won’t see Yah, Yah in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
11我曾说：在活人之地，我必不得见耶和华；在世间的居民中，我必不再见到任何人。
12My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
12我的住处被拔起，迁离了我，像牧人的帐棚一样；我卷起我的性命，像织布的卷布一样；他把我从机头剪断；一日之间，他必使我生命终结。
13I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
13我不断哀叹，直到早晨，他像狮子一般，折断我所有的骨头；一日之间，他必使我生命终结。
14I chattered like a swallow or a crane. I moaned like a dove. My eyes weaken looking upward. Lord, I am oppressed. Be my security.”
14我像燕子呻吟，像白鹤鸣叫，又像鸽子哀鸣。我的眼睛因仰望高处而疲倦；耶和华啊！我受欺压，求你作我的保障。
15What will I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I will walk carefully all my years because of the anguish of my soul.
15我可说什么呢？他应许我的，已给我成全了；因我的心曾受过苦楚，所以我要谨慎地度我所有的年日。
16Lord, men live by these things; and my spirit finds life in all of them: you restore me, and cause me to live.
16主啊！人活着是在于这些，我的灵存活，也在于这些。所以求你使我恢复健康，使我存活。
17Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.
17看哪！我受尽苦楚，为要使我得平安；你保全我的性命，脱离毁灭的坑，因为你把我的一切罪都丢在你的背后。
18For Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.
18阴间不能称谢你，死亡不能赞美你，下坑的人都不能仰望你的信实。
19The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day. The father shall make known your truth to the children.
19只有活人才能称谢你，像我今日一样；作父亲的，要让儿女知道你的信实。
20Yahweh will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of Yahweh.
20耶和华必拯救我，因此我们要一生一世在耶和华的殿中，用丝弦的乐器弹奏我的诗歌。
21Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”
21以赛亚说：“叫人拿一块无花果饼来，贴在疮上，王就必痊愈。”
22Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Yahweh?”
22希西家问：“我能上耶和华的殿去，有什么兆头呢？”
