1Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,
1洁净与不洁净之动物（申14:3-21）
2“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.
2“你们要告诉以色列人：地上所有的走兽中，你们可以吃的动物，就是这些：
3Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.
3分蹄有趾而且反刍的走兽，你们都可以吃。
4“‘Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.
4但你们不可吃下列反刍，或分蹄的走兽动物：骆驼，因为它反刍却不分蹄，你们应以为不洁净。
5The coney, because he chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.
5石獾（本章动物名字多不能确定。“石獾”传统翻译作“沙番”或“山鼠”），因为它反刍却不分蹄，你们应以为不洁净。
6The hare, because she chews the cud but doesn’t part the hoof, she is unclean to you.
6兔子，因为它反刍却不分蹄，你们应以为不洁净。
7The pig, because he has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn’t chew the cud, he is unclean to you.
7猪，因为它分蹄有趾却不反刍，你们应以为不洁净。
8Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean to you.
8这些走兽的肉你们不可吃，它们的尸体你们不可摸，你们应视为不洁净。
9“‘These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.
9“水中所有的活物你们可以吃的，就是这些：凡是在水中，有翅有鳞的，不论是在海里或是河里的，你们都可以吃。
10All that don’t have fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you,
10在水中游动或生存在水中的活物，无论是在海里或是河里，若是没有翅和鳞的，你们都要当作可憎之物。
11and you detest them. You shall not eat of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.
11它们是你们憎恶之物；它们的肉，你们不可吃；它们的尸体，你们要憎恶。
12Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination to you.
12所有在水里没有翅和鳞的活物，你们都要当作可憎之物。
13“‘These you shall detest among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the vulture, and the black vulture,
13“在鸟类中，你们要憎恶，也不可吃这些雀鸟：兀鹰（雀鸟的名字中文翻译还未统一，它们的学名多不能确定）、雕、鹫、
14and the red kite, any kind of black kite,
14鸢、猎鹰等隼类，
15any kind of raven,

16the horned owl, the screech owl, and the gull, any kind of hawk,
16鸵鸟、猫头鹰、海鸥、苍鹭等鹰类。
17the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,
17鸱鹗、鸬鹚、大鸱枭、
18the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,
18白鹭、塘鹅、鸨、
19the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.
19鹳、红鹤等鹭鸶类，戴胜和蝙蝠。
20“‘All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.
20“凡有翅膀、四足爬行的生物，你们都要当作可憎之物。
21Yet you may eat these: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have legs above their feet, with which to hop on the earth.
21但在所有有翅膀、四足爬行的生物中，如果有足有腿，能在地上蹦跳的，你们都可以吃。
22Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper.
22在昆虫中，你们可以吃这些：蝗虫类、蚂蚱类、蟋蟀类和蚱蜢类。
23But all winged creeping things which have four feet, are an abomination to you.
23但是其他所有有翅膀四足的生物，你们都要当作可憎之物。
24“‘By these you will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
24“以下事物，会使你们成为不洁：触摸动物尸体的，就不洁净到晚上。
25Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
25拾起它们的尸体的，就要洗净自己的衣服，并且不洁净到晚上。
26“‘Every animal which parts the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor chews the cud, is unclean to you. Everyone who touches them shall be unclean.
26所有分蹄却无趾的、不反刍的走兽，你们应以为不洁净，触摸它们的，就不洁净。
27Whatever goes on its paws, among all animals that go on all fours, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
27所有用四足行走的动物中，用脚掌行走的，你们应以为不洁净，触摸它们尸体的，都不洁净到晚上。
28He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.
28拾起它们尸体的，就要洗净自己的衣服，并且不洁净到晚上。以上这些你们应以为不洁净。
29“‘These are they which are unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard,
29“在地上爬行的生物中，你们应以为不洁净的是这些：鼬鼠、鼫鼠、蜥蜴这一类，
30the gecko, and the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink, and the chameleon.
30以及壁虎、龙子、守宫、蛇医、变色龙。
31These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening.
31在所有爬行的生物中，你们应以这些为不洁净；它们死了以后，触摸它们的，都不洁净到晚上。
32On whatever any of them falls when they are dead, it shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or clothing, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; then it will be clean.
32它们当中死了的，掉在什么东西上，无论是木器或是衣服，皮子或是布袋等任何器具，都成为不洁净，要放在水中。但仍不洁净到晚上，以后就真洁净了。
33Every earthen vessel, into which any of them falls, all that is in it shall be unclean, and you shall break it.
33它们当中死了的，掉在什么瓦器里，其中不论是什么，都成为不洁净，你们要把瓦器打碎。
34All food which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
34瓦器的水若是滴在任何食物上，食物就成了不洁净，若是滴在装了饮料的器皿里，饮料也成为不洁净。
35Everything whereupon part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces: they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
35它们尸体的任何部分掉在什么东西上，那东西就不洁净，无论是炉或是锅，都成为不洁净，应该打碎；你们应以这些为不洁净。
36Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is a gathered shall be clean: but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.
36但是水源和储水池仍算是洁净的。只有触摸水中尸体的，才是不洁净。
37If part of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
37它们尸体的一部分掉在要播种的种子上，种子还是洁净的；
38But if water is put on the seed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.
38但是，如果种子已经浇了水，它们尸体的一部分才掉在种子上面，你们应以这种子为不洁净。
39“‘If any animal, of which you may eat, dies; he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
39“一只你们可以吃的走兽死了，谁摸了它的尸体，就不洁净到晚上；
40He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
40谁吃了它的尸体，就要洗净自己的衣服，并且不洁净到晚上；谁拾起这尸体，也要洗净自己的衣服，并且不洁净到晚上。
41“‘Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
41“所有在地上爬行的动物，都是可憎之物，都不可吃。
42Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
42凡是用肚子，或用四足或是多足在地上爬行的动物，你们都不可吃，因为它们是可憎之物。
43You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby.
43你们不可因任何爬行的动物使自己成为可憎的，也不可因它们玷污自己，以致不洁净。
44For I am Yahweh your God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy: neither shall you defile yourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth.
44因为我是耶和华你们的 神，所以你们要使自己成为圣洁。你们要分别为圣，因为我是圣洁的。你们不可因在地上爬行的任何动物玷污自己，
45For I am Yahweh who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
45因为我是耶和华，曾把你们从埃及地领上来，为要作你们的 神；你们要分别为圣，因为我是圣洁的。”
46“‘This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,
46以上就是有关走兽、飞禽、所有在水中游行的动物，和所有在地上爬行的动物的律例，
47to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.’”
47为要把不洁净的和洁净的，可吃的生物和不可吃的生物，分别出来。
