1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1攻击与杀戮米甸人
2“Avenge the children of Israel for the Midianites. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”
2“你要在米甸人身上报以色列人的仇，然后要归到你本族那里去。”
3Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Yahweh’s vengeance on Midian.
3摩西对人民说：“要从你们中间使一些人武装起来去作战，攻击米甸人，好在米甸人身上为耶和华报仇。
4Of every tribe one thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, you shall send to the war.”
4你们要从以色列众支派中每支派打发一千人去打仗。”
5So there were delivered, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
5于是从以色列千万人中，每支派选出一千人，共有一万二千人，都武装起来去打仗。
6Moses sent them, one thousand of every tribe, to the war, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
6摩西就打发每支派的一千人去打仗，并且派遣以利亚撒祭司的儿子非尼哈与他们一同去，非尼哈手里拿着圣所的器皿和吹大声的号筒。
7They warred against Midian, as Yahweh commanded Moses; and they killed every male.
7他们就照着耶和华吩咐摩西的，去与米甸人作战，杀死了所有的男人。
8They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they killed with the sword.
8在那些被杀的人以外，还杀了米甸的五个王，就是以未、利金、苏珥、户珥和利巴；又用刀杀了比珥的儿子巴兰。
9The children of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their livestock, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took for a prey.
9以色列人掳了米甸人的妇女、孩子；又掳掠了他们所有的牲畜、羊群和财物；
10All their cities in the places in which they lived, and all their encampments, they burnt with fire.
10并用火烧了他们所住地方的一切城市和营寨；
11They took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of man and of animal.
11把一切夺来的和掳掠的，连人带牲畜都带走；
12They brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
12他们把俘掳的人和掳来的，以及夺来的东西，都带到摩押平原，约旦河边，和耶利哥相对的营地那里，交给摩西和以利亚撒祭司，以及以色列的会众。
13Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside of the camp.
13摩西和以利亚撒祭司，以及会众所有的领袖，都出到营外迎接他们。
14Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war.
14摩西对作战回来的军官，就是对千夫长和百夫长发怒。
15Moses said to them, “Have you saved all the women alive?
15摩西对他们说：“你们让这些妇女存活吗？
16Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Yahweh in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of Yahweh.
16看哪，这些妇女因巴兰的计谋，使以色列人在毗珥的事上，得罪耶和华，以致瘟疫临到耶和华的会众身上。
17Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
17现在你们要把所有的男孩都杀了，也要杀死所有与男人发生过关系的妇人。
18But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
18但女孩子中，没有与男人发生过关系的，你们都可以让她们活着。
19“Encamp outside of the camp seven days: whoever has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.
19你们要在营外驻扎七天，杀过人的和摸过死尸的，第三日和第七日都要洁净自己，你们和你们掳来的人都要这样行。
20As to every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats’ hair, and all things made of wood, you shall purify yourselves.”
20你们也要洁净一切衣服、皮具、山羊毛织的物和木器。”
21Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who went to the battle, “This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded Moses:
21以利亚撒祭司对打仗回来的兵丁说：“这是耶和华吩咐摩西的律例：
22however the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
22金、银、铜、铁、锡、铅，
23everything that may withstand the fire, you shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity: and all that doesn’t withstand the fire you shall make to go through the water.
23能够经火的东西，你们都要使它经火，就算是洁净了，但还要用除污水洁净它；不能经火的，你们要使它经过水。
24You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean; and afterward you shall come into the camp.”
24第七日，你们要洗衣服，就为洁净；然后才可以进营。”
25Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
25瓜分战利品耶和华对摩西说：
26“Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the congregation;
26“你和以利亚撒祭司，以及会众的各族长，要计算俘掳的人和掠得的牲畜的总数。
27and divide the prey into two parts: between the men skilled in war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation.
27你要把掠夺得的分为两半，一半给出去打仗的人，一半给全体会众。
28Levy a tribute to Yahweh of the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred; of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks.
28你又要从出去打仗的人所得的，无论是人、牛、驴，或羊群之中，抽出五百分之一作贡物奉给耶和华；
29Take it of their half, and give it to Eleazar the priest, for Yahweh’s wave offering.
29你们要从他们那一半中抽出，交给以利亚撒祭司，作耶和华的举祭。
30Of the children of Israel’s half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all the livestock, and give them to the Levites, who perform the duty of the tabernacle of Yahweh.”
30从以色列人那一半中，无论是人、牛、驴、羊群，或是各样牲畜，都要抽出五十分之一，交给负责看守耶和华帐幕的利未人。”
31Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
31于是，摩西和以利亚撒祭司照着耶和华吩咐摩西的行了。
32Now the prey, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
32掠得的东西，就是打仗的人所掳掠剩下来的，共有羊六十七万五千只，
33and seventy-two thousand head of cattle,
33牛七万二千头，
34and sixty-one thousand donkeys,
34驴六万一千头，
35and thirty-two thousand persons in all, of the women who had not known man by lying with him.
35没有与男人发生过关系的妇人三万二千人。
36The half, which was the portion of those who went out to war, was in number three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep:
36出去打仗的人的分，就是他们所得的那一半，羊共有三十三万七千五百只；
37and Yahweh’s tribute of the sheep was six hundred seventy-five.
37这些羊群中，归耶和华作贡物的，有六百七十五只。
38The cattle were thirty-six thousand; of which Yahweh’s tribute was seventy-two.
38牛三万六千头，归耶和华为贡物的，有七十二只。
39The donkeys were thirty thousand five hundred; of which Yahweh’s tribute was sixty-one.
39驴三万零五百头，归耶和华为贡物的有六十一匹。
40The persons were sixteen thousand; of whom Yahweh’s tribute was thirty-two persons.
40人口一万六千，归给耶和华作贡物的，有三十二人。
41Moses gave the tribute, which was Yahweh’s wave offering, to Eleazar the priest, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
41摩西照着耶和华吩咐他的，把贡物，就是耶和华的举祭，交给以利亚撒祭司。
42Of the children of Israel’s half, which Moses divided off from the men who warred
42以色列人所得的那一半，就是摩西从打仗的人取来分给他们的
43(now the congregation’s half was three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
43（属于会众的那一半，有羊三十三万七千五百只，
44and thirty-six thousand head of cattle,
44牛三万六千头，
45and thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,
45驴三万零五百头，
46and sixteen thousand persons),
46人口一万六千）；
47even of the children of Israel’s half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of animal, and gave them to the Levites, who performed the duty of the tabernacle of Yahweh; as Yahweh commanded Moses.
47摩西照着耶和华吩咐他的，从属于以色列人的那一半，无论是人口或是牲畜，都抽出五十分之一，交给负责看守耶和华帐幕的利未人。
48The officers who were over the thousands of the army, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near to Moses;
48统领万军的军长、千夫长和百夫长，都来见摩西，
49and they said to Moses, “Your servants have taken the sum of the men of war who are under our command, and there lacks not one man of us.
49对摩西说：“你仆人手下作战的士兵，已经计算总数，没有缺少一人。
50We have brought Yahweh’s offering, what every man has gotten, of jewels of gold, armlets, and bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before Yahweh.”
50现在我们把耶和华的供物，都送来了，就是我们各人所得的金器、脚链子、镯子、打印戒指、耳环、手钏，好在耶和华面前，为我们自己赎罪。”
51Moses and Eleazar the priest took their gold, even all worked jewels.
51摩西和以利亚撒祭司就收了他们的金子，就是各样金子做成的器皿。
52All the gold of the wave offering that they offered up to Yahweh, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels.
52千夫长和百夫长献给耶和华为举祭的一切金子，共有两百多公斤。
53(The men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.)
53士兵都各自夺取了财物。
54Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the Tent of Meeting, for a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh.
54摩西和以利亚撒祭司就从千夫长和百夫长手中收了金子，把它带进会幕里去，在耶和华面前作以色列人的记念。
