¹Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?

¹拿俄米劝路得改嫁

²Now isn’t Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? Behold, he winnows barley tonight in the threshing floor.

²你常常和他的女佣人在一起的波阿斯不是我们的亲戚吗？他今天晚上要在禾场上簸大麦。

³Therefore wash yourself, anoint yourself, get dressed, and go down to the threshing floor, but don’t make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.

³你洗个澡，抹上香膏，穿上斗篷，就下到禾场去。不过，那个人还没有吃喝完毕，别让他认出你来。

⁴It shall be, when he lies down, that you shall mark the place where he shall lie, and you shall go in, and uncover his feet, and lay down; then he will tell you what you shall do.”

⁴等到他躺下来，你要弄清楚他所躺的地方，进去掀露他的脚，然后躺下去。他就会告诉你该作什么。”

⁵She said to her, “All that you say I will do.”

⁵路得对她说：“你吩咐的，我就去作。”

⁶She went down to the threshing floor, and did according to all that her mother-in-law told her.

⁶路得独往禾场夜访波阿斯于是，她下到禾场去，照着婆婆吩咐的一切去作。

⁷When Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain. She came softly, uncovered his feet, and laid her down.

⁷波阿斯吃喝完了，心里舒畅，就去躺在麦堆的旁边。路得悄悄地来，掀露他的脚，躺卧下去。

⁸It happened at midnight, that the man was startled and turned himself; and behold, a woman lay at his feet.

⁸到了夜半，波阿斯惊醒过来，一翻身就看到一个女子躺在他的脚边，

⁹He said, “Who are you?” She answered, “I am Ruth your handmaid. Therefore spread your skirt over your handmaid; for you are a near kinsman.”

⁹就说：“你是谁？”她回答：“我是你的婢女路得，请用你的衣襟遮盖你的婢女，因为你是我的有买赎权的近亲。”

¹⁰He said, “Blessed are you by Yahweh, my daughter. You have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as you didn’t follow young men, whether poor or rich.

¹⁰波阿斯说：“我女儿，愿你蒙耶和华赐福。你末后表现的爱心比起初更大，因为年轻人无论贫富，你都没有跟从。

¹¹Now, my daughter, don’t be afraid; I will do to you all that you say; for all the city of my people does know that you are a worthy woman.

¹¹我女儿，现在你不要怕，你所说的，我一定去作。本城的人都知道你是个贤慧的女人。

¹²Now it is true that I am a near kinsman; however there is a kinsman nearer than I.

¹²不错，我是你那有买赎权的近亲，可惜还有一个有买赎权的近亲比我更亲。

¹³Stay this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform for you the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman’s part. But if he will not do the part of a kinsman for you, then will I do the part of a kinsman for you, as Yahweh lives. Lie down until the morning.”

¹³今晚你就在这里过夜，明早如果他肯尽买赎你的本分，好，就由他来履行；假如他不愿意这样作，我指着永活的耶和华起誓，我一定尽买赎你的本分。你只管躺到天亮吧。”

¹⁴She lay at his feet until the morning. She rose up before one could discern another. For he said, “Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.”

¹⁴路得躺在波阿斯脚边直到早晨。因为波阿斯说过不可以让人知道有女人来过禾场，路得就趁天色未明，人们彼此无法辨认的时候就起来。

¹⁵He said, “Bring the mantle that is on you, and hold it.” She held it; and he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her; and he went into the city.

¹⁵他又说：“拿你所披的外衣来，把它打开。”她打开了，他就量了六簸箕大麦，放在她的肩上。路得就进城去。

¹⁶When she came to her mother-in-law, she said, “How did it go, my daughter?” She told her all that the man had done to her.

¹⁶路得将一切事情告诉拿俄米到她婆婆那里，婆婆就问：“我女儿，怎样了？”路得就把那人对她所作的一切都告诉了婆婆，

¹⁷She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley; for he said, ‘Don’t go empty to your mother-in-law.’”

¹⁷又说：“他给我这六簸箕大麦，对我说：‘不要空手去见你婆婆。’”

¹⁸Then she said, “Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will fall; for the man will not rest, until he has finished the thing this day.”

¹⁸拿俄米说：“我女儿，你尽管安静等候，直到你知道事情怎样了结，因为那人今天不把事情办妥，绝不歇息。”
