¹Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.

¹जउन लोग अंधबिसवासी क जुए क नीचे क दास बना अहइँ, ओन्हे अपने स्वामियन क सम्मान क जोग्ग समझइ चाही ताकि परमेस्सर क नाउँ अउर हमरे उपदेसन क निन्दा न होइ।

²Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

²अउर अइसेन दास न के भी जेनकर स्वामी बिसवासी हयेन, बस इही बरे कि उ पचे ओनकर धरमभाई अहइँ, ओनके बरे कम सम्मान न देखॉवइ चाही, बल्कि ओनका तउ अपने स्वामियन क अउर अधिक सेवा करइ चाही काहेकि जेनका एकर लाभ मिलत बा, उ पचे बिसवासी अहइँ, जेनसे उ पचे पिरेम करत हीं। इन बातन क सिखावत रहा अउर एनकर प्रचार करत रहा।

³If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,

³अगर केउ एनमाँ स अलग बात सिखावत ह अउर हमारा पर्भू ईसू मसीह क ओन्हन सदबचनन क नाहीं मानत ह अउर परमेस्सर क सही तरीके स सेवा करे की सिच्छा स सहमत नाहीं होत ह

⁴he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,

⁴तउ उ अहंकार मँ फूला बा अउर कुछ भी नाहीं जानत ह। उ तउ कुतर्क करइ अउर सब्दन क लेइके झगड़इ क रोग स घिरा बाटइ। इन बातन स त ईर्सा, बैर, निन्दा-भाव अउर गाली-गलौज

⁵constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such. NU omits “Withdraw yourself from such.”

⁵अउर ओन लोगन क बीच जेकर बुद्धि बिगड़ गइ बा, कबहुँ न खत्म होइवाला मतभेद पैदा होत ह अउर भ्रष्ट दिमाग क अहइ, जउन सत्य क खोइ चुका अहइ। अइसेन लोगन क बिचार बा कि परमेस्सर क सेवा धन कमाइ क ही एक साधन अहइ।

⁶But godliness with contentment is great gain.

⁶निस्चय ही परमेस्सर क सेवा-भक्ति स ही आदमी बहुत सम्पन्न बनत ह। पर ई ओन्हीं क बरे सत्य बा जउन ओसे संतुस्ट होइ जात ह, जउन ओका मिलत ह।

⁷For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.

⁷काहेकि हम संसारे मँ न तउ कछू लइके आइ रहे अउर न ही इहाँ स कछु लइके जाइ पाउब।

⁸But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.

⁸तउन अगर हमरे लगे रोटी अउर कपड़ा बा त हम उही मँ सन्तुस्ट हई।

⁹But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.

¹⁰For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

¹⁰काहेकि धन क पिरेम सब तरह क बुराइ क जनम देत ह। कछू लोग आपन इच्छन क कारण ही बिसवास स भटकि गवा हयेन अउर अपने क पीड़ित कइके कस्टमय समस्याआ का झेलत बाटेन।

¹¹But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

¹¹मुला हे परमेस्सर क लोग, तू इन बातन स दूर रहा अउर नेकी, परमेस्सर क सेवा, बिसवास, पिरेम धीरझ, अउर सज्जनता मँ लगा रहा।

¹²Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

¹²हमार बिसवास जउन उत्तिम स्पर्धा क अपेच्छा करत ह, तू उही क बरे संघर्ष करत रहा अउर अपने बरे अनन्त जीवन क अर्जित कइ ल्या। तोहका उही क बरे बोलावा गवा अहा। तू बहुत स लोगन क सामने उस परम सत्य का (ईसू मसीह का) बहुत अच्छे तरह स अंगीकार किहे अहा।

¹³I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,

¹³परमेस्सर क सामने, जउन सब क जीवन देत ह अउर ईसू मसीह क सामने जे पुन्तियुस पिलातुस क सामने बहुत अच्छी साच्छी दिहे रहा, मइँ तोहका इ हुकुम देत हउँ कि

¹⁴that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹⁴जब तलक हमार पर्भू ईसू मसीह परगट होत ह, जब तलक तोहे जउन हुकुम दीन्ह गवा बा, तू उही पर बिना कउनउ कबहुँ छोड़े निर्दोस भाव स चलत रहा।

¹⁵which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

¹⁵उ ओह पइ धन्य, एक छत्र, राजा लोगन क राजा अउर सम्राटन क पर्भू क उचित समइ आए पइ घटित करी।

¹⁶who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

¹⁶उ अगम प्रकास क निवासी अहइ। ओका न केउ देखे बा, न केउ देखि सकत ह। ओकर सम्मान अउर ओकर अनन्त सक्ति क बिस्तार होत रहइ। आमीन।

¹⁷Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

¹⁷वर्तमान युग क चीजन क कारण जउन लोग अमीर बने भए अहइँ, ओन्हे आज्ञा द्या कि उ पचे अभिमान न करइँ। अउर ओह धने स जउन जल्दी चला आई कउनउ आसा न रखइँ। परमेस्सर पर ही आपन आसा टिकावइँ जउन हमका हमार आनन्द क बरे सब कछू भरपूर देत ह।

¹⁸that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

¹⁸ओनका आज्ञा देइँ कि उ पचे अच्छा अच्छा काम करइँ। अच्छा कामन स ही धनी बनइँ। उदार रहइँ अउर दूसरन क साथे आपन चीजे बाँटइँ।

¹⁹laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

¹⁹अइसेन करई स ही उ पचे एक सरगे क खजाना क संयच करिहीं जउन भविस्य क बरे मजबूत नींव सिद्ध होई। इहीं स उ सच्चा जीवन क थामे रइहीं।

²⁰Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;

²⁰तीमुथियुस! तोहे जउन सँउपा गवा बा, तू ओकर रच्छा करा। बेकार क संसारी बातन स बचा रहा। अउर जउन “झूठा गियान” स सम्बन्धित बेकार क विरोधी बिसवासी हयेन, ओनसे दूर रहा काहेकि

²¹which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

²¹कछू लोग यह दावा करत हीं कि वे इसे “गियान” क जानत अहा, पर उ वास्तव मँ बिसवासे स दूर चला जात हीं। परमेस्सर क अनुग्रह तोहरे साथे रहई।
