¹but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

¹अउर ईसू जैतून पर्वत प चला गवा।

²Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.

²एकदम सबेरे उ फिन मन्दिर मँ गवा। सब मनई ओकरे पास आएन। ईसू बइठके ओनका सबेन्हका उपदेस देइ लाग।

³The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst,

³तबहीं धरम सास्तरी अउर फरीसी लोग व्यभिचार क अपराध मँ एक ठु स्त्री क पकरि लइ आएन। अउर ओका सबके सामने ठाढ़ करि दिहेन्ह।

⁴they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.

⁴अउर ईसू स कहेन्न, “हे गुरू, इ स्त्री व्यभिचार करत रंग हाथ पकड़ी गइ अहइ।

⁵Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such. Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 22:22 What then do you say about her?”

⁵मूसा क व्यवस्था हमका पचेन्ह क आदेस देत ह क अइसी स्त्री क पाथर मारइ चाही। अब बतावा तोहार क कहब अहइ?”

⁶They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.

⁶ईसू क अजमावइ क बरे उ सबेन्ह पूछत रहेन्ह जइसे कि ओनका सबन्क ओकरे खिलाफ कउनो अभियोग लगावा जाइ सकइ। मुला ईसू नीचे झुका अउर अपनी अंगुरी स जमीन प लिखिइ लाग।

⁷But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”

⁷यहूदी नेता पूछत जात रहेन्ह, इ बरे ईसू सोझ सोझ तनि क ठाढ़ि होइ गवा अउर ओनसे कहेस, “तोहरे सब मँ स जउन मनई पापी न होइ, सबसे पहिले उहइ इ स्त्री क पाथर मारइ।”

⁸Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

⁸अउर फिन उ झुक कर जमीन प लिखइ लाग।

⁹They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.

⁹जब सब मनई इ सुनेन्ह तउ सबसे पहिले बुढ़वा मनइयन अउर फिन एक एक कइके हुवाँ स खिसकइ लागेन अउर हुवाँ अकेले ईसू बचा रहा। ईसू क सामने उ स्त्री अबहीं तलक ठाढ़ि रही।

¹⁰Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”

¹⁰ईसू खड़ा भवा अउर उ स्त्री स कहेस, “ऐ स्त्री, उ पचे कहाँ चला गएन। का तोहका कउनो दोखी नाहीं ठहराएस?”

¹¹She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”

¹¹उ स्त्री बोली, नाहीं महासय! कउनो नाहीं।” ईसू कहेस, “मइँ भी तोहका दण्ड न देब। जा अउर अब फिन कबहूँ पाप न करिउ।”

¹²Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Isaiah 60:1 He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

¹²फिन हुवाँ मौजूद मनइयन स ईसू कहेस, “मइँ दुनिया क ज्योति अहउँ, जउन मोरे पाछे चलत ह, उ कबहुँ अंधेरे मँ नाहीं रहत। ओका तउ उ ज्योति मिली जउन जीवन देत ह।”

¹³The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”

¹³इ सुनिके फरीसियन ओनसे कहेन, “तू आपन साच्छी खुदइ देत अहा, इ बरे तोहार साच्छी न मानी जाई।”

¹⁴Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.

¹⁴एकरे जवाब मँ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “जदि मइँ आपन साच्छी अपनी कइँती स आप देत अहउँ, तबहूँ मोर साच्छी सही अहइ, काहेकि मइँ इ जाना चाहित ह, कि मइँ कहाँ स आवा अहउँ अउर कहाँ जात अहउँ।

¹⁵ You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

¹⁵तू पचे मनइयन क बनाए नेमॅन प निआव कहत ह, मइँ कउनो क निआव नाहीं करत अहउँ।

¹⁶ Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.

¹⁶जदि मइँ निआव करी तउ मोर निआव उचित होइ। काहेकि मइँ अकेलि नाहीं अहउँ, बल्कि परमपिता जउन मोका हियाँ भेजे अहइ, दुइनउँ मिलके निआव करित ह।

¹⁷ It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid. Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15

¹⁷तोहरे व्यवस्था मँ लिखा अहइ कि दुइ मनइयन क साच्छी सच्ची होत ह।

¹⁸ I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

¹⁸मइँ आपन साच्छी खुदइ देत अहउँ अउ परमपिताा, जउन मोका भेजे अहइ, मोरी ओर स साच्छी देत ह।”

¹⁹They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

¹⁹इ सुनिके उ सब मनइयन ओसे कहेन, “तोहार परमपिता कहाँ अहइ?” ईसू जवाब दिहेस, “न तउ तू पचे मोका जानत अहा अउर न तउ मोरे परमपिता क। जदि तू मोका जानत होत्या, तउ मोरे परमपिता क जानि लेत्या।”

²⁰Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

²⁰मंदिर मँ उपदेस देत भए जउन मनई भेंट पात्रन क पास रहेन, ओनसे इ बात ईसू कहेस। मुला कउनो ओकाा बन्दी नाहीं बनाएस, काहेकि ओकर समइ अबहीं नहीं रहा।

²¹Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”

²¹ईसू ओनसे एक बार फिन कहेस, “मइँ चला जाब अउर तू पचे मोका खोजब्या। मुला तू पचे अपने पापन क कारण मरि जाब्या। जहाँ मइँ जात अही तू पचे हुँवा नाहीं आइ सकत ह।”

²²The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, that he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come?’ ”

²²फिन यहूदी कहइ लागेन, “का तू इ सोचत अहा। कि उ खुदकुसी करइवाला अहइ? काहेकि उ कहेस ह, ‘तू पचे हुवाँ नाहीं आइ सकत ह जहाँ मइँ जात अहउँ।

²³He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

²³एह पइ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू पचे नीचे क अहा अउर मइँ ऊपर स आवा हउँ, तू पचे संसारिक अहा अउर मइँ इ दुनिया मँ नाहीं हउँ।

²⁴ I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am or, I AM he, you will die in your sins.”

²⁴इ बरे मइँ तू सबन स कहत हउँ तू पचे अपने पाप मँ मरि जाब्या। जब तू बिसवास नाहीं करत अहा कि उ मइँ अहउँ। तउ तू अपने पाप मँ मरि जाब्या।”

²⁵They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

²⁵उ पचे ईसू स फिन पूछेन, “तू कउन अह्या?” ईसू ओनका जवाब दिहेस, “मइँ उहइ अहउँ, जइसे कि सुरूआत मँ मइँ तोहका बताए रहेउँ।

²⁶ I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”

²⁶तू पचेन्क बतावइ क बरे अउर तू पचन क निआव करइ क मोरे पास बहुत कछू अहइ। मुला सच्ची बात इ अहइ कि सत्य उहइ अहइ जउन मोका भेजेस। मइँ उहइ बतावत अही जउन मइँ ओसे सुने अहउँ।”

²⁷They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.

²⁷उ पचे इ नाहीं जान पाएन्ह कि ईसू ओनका परमपिता क बाबत बतावत अहइ।

²⁸Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.

²⁸फिन ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “जब तू मनई क पूत क ऊँचा उठाय लेब्या तू जान लेब्या कि उ मइँ अहउँ। मइँ अपनी ओस स कछू नाहीं करत अहउँ। मइँ जउन करत अहउँ, इ उहइ अहइ जउन मोका परमपिता सिखाए अहइ

²⁹ He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

²⁹अउर उ जउऩ मोका इहाँ भेजेस, उ मोरे साथ अहइ। उ कबहूँ मोका अकेले नाहीं छोड़ेस, इ बरे कि मइँ उहइ कारज करित ह जइसा उ चाहत ह।”

³⁰As he spoke these things, many believed in him.

³⁰ईसू जब इ बात बातवत रहा, तउ बहुत मनई ओकर बिसवासी होइ गएन।

³¹Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

³¹ईसू ओन यहूदियन क बतावइ लाग, जउन ओहमाँ बिसवास करत रहेन, “जब तू पचे मोरे उपदेस प चलब्या तउ तू मोर सच्चा चेलन बन जाब्या।

³² You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Psalm 119:45

³²अउर सच्चाई क जान लेब्या। अउर सच्चाई तोहका मुक्ति दइ देइ।”

³³They answered him, “We are Abraham’s seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free?’ ”

³³इ सुनिके उ सबेन्ह ईसू स पूछेन, “हम सब इब्राहीम क खानदान क अही अउर हम सबे आज तक केहू क गुलामी नाहीं कीन्ह। फिन तू कइसे कहत अहा कि तू पचे छुटकारा पाइ जाब्या?”

³⁴Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.

³⁴ईसू ओनका इ जवाब दिहेस, “मइँ तोहसे सच्चाई का बखान करत अहउँ। जउन मनई पाप करत रहत ह, पाप क दास अहइ।

³⁵ A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.

³⁵अउर कउनो दास परिवार के साथे नाहीं रहि सकत। केवल पूत हमेसा परिवार क साथे रहत ह।

³⁶ If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

³⁶इ बरे अगर पूत तोह सबन क छुटकारा देइ सकत ह, तउ तू पचे जरूर छुटकारा पाय जाब्या। मइँ जानत अहउँ तू इब्राहीम क खानदान क अह्या।

³⁷ I know that you are Abraham’s seed, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.

³⁷मुला तू पचे मोरा मारि डावइ क कोसिस करत अहा। काहेकि तू पचे मोरा मारि उपदेस नाहीं मनत्या।

³⁸ I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”

³⁸मइँ उहइ बतावत अहउँ, जउन मोर परमपिता मोका देखॉएस अउर तू उहइ करत अहा। जउन तोहार पिता तोहका करइ क बताएस ह।”

³⁹They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

³⁹इ सुनिके उ पचे ईसू क जवाब दिहेन, “हमरे पिता इब्राहीम अहीं।” ईसू कहेस, “जब तू इब्राहीम क सन्तान होत्या, तउ तू उहइ कारज करत्या जउन कारज इब्राहीम करत रहा।

⁴⁰ But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.

⁴⁰मुला तू पचे तउ मोर जइसे मनई का जउन परमेस्सर स सुनि सच्चाई का बतावत अहइ, मारि डावा चाहत अहा। इब्राहीम तउ अइसा कबहूँ नाहीं किहेस।

⁴¹ You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”

⁴¹तू पचे अपने पिता क काम करत अहा।” फिन उ सबेन्ह ईसू स कहेन, “हम सबन उ सबइ गदेलन क तरह नाहीं जउन व्यभिचार क सरूप पइदा भएन ह। हमार केवल एक पिता अहइ, उ अहइ परमेस्सर।”

⁴²Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.

⁴²ईसू ओनका जवाब दिहेस, “जदि परमेस्सर तोहार पिता होतइ तउ तू पचे मोका पियार करत्या, काहेकि मइँ ही परमेस्सर क पास स आइ अहउँ। अउर अबहीं मइँ हियाँ अहउँ। मइँ अपने आप हियाँ नाहीं आइ बाटी, बल्कि मोका परमेस्सर भेजेस।

⁴³ Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.

⁴³जउन कछू मइँ बतावत अहउँ ओका तू सबेन्ह काहे नाहीं समझत अहा? एकर कारण इ अहइ कि तू मोर उपदेस नाहीं स्वीकार करत अहा।

⁴⁴ You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.

⁴⁴तू सबेन्ह अपने पिता सइतान क सन्तान अह्या अउर तू सबेन्ह अपने पिता क इच्छा प चलइ चाहत अहा। उ सुरूआतइ स एक हत्यारा रहा अउर सच्चाई क तरफदारी कबहूँ नाहीं करेस। काहेकि ओहमाँ सच्चाई क कउनो हिस्सा नाहीं रहा। जब उ झूठ बोलत ह तउ सहल भाव स बोलत ह, काहेकि उ झूठा अहइ अउर तमाम झूठ क पइदा करत ह।

⁴⁵ But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.

⁴⁵मुला मइँ सच्ची बात कहत अहउँ, तू सबेन्ह इ बरे मोहमाँ बिसवास नाहीं करत अहा।

⁴⁶ Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?

⁴⁶तोहरे मँ स कउन अइसा मनई अहइ जउन मोरे ऊपर लगावा पाप सिद्ध कइ सकत ह। जदि मइँ सत्य कहत अहउँ तउ तू मोर बिसवास काहे बरे नाहीं करत अहा?

⁴⁷ He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”

⁴⁷जउऩ मनई परमेस्सर क अहइ, परमेस्सर क वचन क सुनत ह। तू सबेन्ह मोर बात नाहीं सुनत अहा, इ बरे कि तू सबेन्ह परमेस्सर क नाहीं अह्या।”

⁴⁸Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”

⁴⁸ईसू क बात क जवाब मँ यहूदियन ईसू स कहेन, “का हमार सबेन्ह क इ बात सच्ची न अहइ कि तू सामरी अह्या अउर तोहरे ऊपर कउनो दुस्ट आतिमा सवार अहइ?”

⁴⁹Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.

⁴⁹ईसू जवाब दिहेस, “मोरे ऊपर कउनो दुस्ट आतिमा सवार नाहीं अहइ। मइँ तउ अपने परमपिता क आदर करित ह, मुला तू पचे मोर अपमान करत अहा।

⁵⁰ But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.

⁵⁰मइँ आपन महिमा नाहीं चाहत अहउँ मुला एक ठु अइसा अहइ जउन मोर महिमा चाहत ह अउर निआव करत ह।

⁵¹ Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”

⁵¹मइँ तोहका सच्ची बात कहत अहउँ कि जउन मनई मोरे उपदेस क अनुसरण करी उ मउत क कबहूँ न देखी।”

⁵²Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’

⁵²इ सुनिके यहूदियन ओसे कहेन, “अब हम पचे जानि गए कि तोहरे अन्दर कउनो दुस्ट आतिमा समाइ गइ अहइ। हियाँ तक कि इब्राहीम अउर नबी दुइनउँ मरि गएन मुला तू कहत अहा कि जउन मनई तोहार उपदेस प चली ओकर कबहूँ मउत न होई।

⁵³Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”

⁵³एहमाँ कउनो सक नाहीं अहइ कि तू मोरे पिता इब्राहीम स बड़ा नाहीं अहा जउऩ कि मर गवा। अउ नबियन क मउत होइ गइ। मुला तू पता नाहीं का सोचत अहा? तू अह्या के?”

⁵⁴Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

⁵⁴ईसू जवाब दिहेस, “जदि मइँ अपनी महिमा क बखान करी, तउ ऊ मोर महिमा कछू न अहइ। जउन मोका महिमा देत ह, उ मोर परमपिता अहइ। जेकरे बारे मँ तू दावा करत अहा कि उ तोहार परमेस्सर अहइ।

⁵⁵ You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.

⁵⁵तू पचे ओका कबहुँ नाहीं जनत्या। मुला मइँ ओका जानत अहउँ जब मइँ कहउँ कि मइँ भी ओका नाहीं जानत अहउँ तउ तोहरे सबेन्ह क तरह मइँ भी झूठा होइ जाब। मइँ ओका अच्छी तरह स जानित ही अउर जउन उ कहत ह ओका पालन करित ही।

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad.”

⁵⁶तोहार पिता इब्राहीम इ जानिके कि उ अइसा दिन देखी जब मइँ आउब, तउ उ आनन्द स भरि भवा रहा: उ एका देखेस अउर बहुत खुस भवा।”

⁵⁷The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”

⁵⁷फिन यहूदियन ओसे कहेन, “तू अबहीं पचास बरिस क भी नाहीं अहा अउर तू इब्राहीम क लखि लिहा।”

⁵⁸Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM. or, I am ”

⁵⁸ईसू एकरे जवाब मँ कहेस, “मइँ तोहका सत्य बतावत अहउँ कि इब्राहीम स पहले भी मइँ रह्यो, मइँ अहउँ।”

⁵⁹Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.

⁵⁹इ सुनिके उ सबेन्ह ईसू क मारइ क बरे बड़ा बड़ा पाथर उठाइ लिहन मुला ईसू लुकत छिपत मन्दिर स चला गवा।
