¹But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.

¹हफ्ता के पहिले दिन बहोत भिन्सारे उ सबइ स्त्रियन कब्र पइ खुसबूदार सामग्री क, जेका उ पचे तइयार किहेन, लइके आइन।

²They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

²ओनका कब्र पइ स लुढ़कि गवा पाथर मिला।

³They entered in, and didn’t find the Lord Jesus’ body.

³तउ उ पचे भीतर चली गइन मुला हुवाँ पर्भू ईसू क ल्हास नाहीं मिली।

⁴It happened, while they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.

⁴उ सबइ ऍह पइ अबहीं असमंजस मँ ही पड़ी रहिन कि, ओनके लगे चमचमात ओढ़ना पहिरे दुइ मनई (सरगदूतन) खड़ा भएन।

⁵Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

⁵डर स उ पचे धरती कइँती मुँहना लटकाए रहिन। उ दुइ मनइयन ओनसे कहेन, “जउन जिअत अहइ, ओका तू मुर्दवन क बीच काहे हेरति अहा?

⁶He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,

⁶उ हिआँ नाहीं अहइ। उ जी उठा बा। याद कर जब उ अबहीं गलील मँ रहा, उ तोहसे करा कहे रहा।

⁷saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again?”

⁷उ कहे रहा कि मनई क पूत क पापी मनइयन क हाथ सौंप दीन्ह जाब तय अहइ। फिन उ क्रूस पइ चढ़ाइ दीन्ह जाइ अउर तिसरे दिन ओका फिन स जीवित कइ देव तय अहइ।”

⁸They remembered his words,

⁸तब ओन स्त्रियन क ओकर सब्द याद होइ गएन।

⁹returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.

⁹उ पचे कब्र स लौटि आइन अउर उ सबइ सब वातन ओन ग्यारहु चेलन अउर दूसर सबन क बताएन।

¹⁰Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.

¹⁰इ पचे स्त्रियन रहिन, मरियम मगदलीनी, योअन्ना अउर याकूब क महतारी मरियम। उ सबइ अउर ओनके साथे क दूसर स्त्रियन इ बातन क प्रेरितन स कहत रहिन।

¹¹These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didn’t believe them.

¹¹मुला ओनके सब्द प्रेरितन क बृथा जानि पड़ेन। तउ उ सबइ ओनका बिसवास नाहीं किहेन।

¹²But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping and looking in, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering what had happened.

¹²मुला पतरस खड़ा भवा अउर कब्र कइँती पराइ गवा। उ खाले निहुरिके लखेस मुला ओका सन क उत्तिम रेसम स बना कफन क अलावा कछू नाहीं देखाँइ दिहे रहा। फिन आपन मन ही जउन कछू भ रहा, ओहँ प अचरज करत भवा उ चला गवा।

¹³Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia 60 stadia = about 11 kilometers or about 7 miles. from Jerusalem.

¹³उहइ दिना ओकर चेलन मँ स दुइ, यरूसलेम स कउनो सात मील दूर बसा भवा इम्माऊस नाउँ क गाउँ क जात रहेन।

¹⁴They talked with each other about all of these things which had happened.

¹⁴जउन घटना घटी रहिन, ओन सब प उ सबइ आपुस मँ बतियात रहेन।

¹⁵It happened, while they talked and questioned together, that Jesus himself came near, and went with them.

¹⁵जबहिं उ सबइ ओन बातन प बातचीत अउर सोच विचार करत रहेन तबहीं खुद ईसू हुवाँ हाजिर भवा अउर साथे साथे चलइ लाग।

¹⁶But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

¹⁶(मुला ओनका ओका पहिचानइ स टोका गवा।)

¹⁷He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk, and are sad?”

¹⁷ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “चलत चलत एक दुसरे स तू कउनो बातन प बतियत रह्या?” उ पचे चलत चलत थम गएन। उ पचे दुःखी देखॉइ देत रहेन।

¹⁸One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”

¹⁸ओहमाँ स विलयोपास नाउँ क एक मनई ओसे कहेस, “यरूसलेम मँ रहइवाला अकेल्ला तू ही अइसा मनई होब्या जउन पिछले दिनन जउन बातन घटी अहइँ, ओका नाही जानत्या।”

¹⁹He said to them, “What things?” They said to him, “The things concerning Jesus, the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

¹⁹ईसू ओनसे पूछेस, “कउन सी बातन? उ पचे ओसे कहेन, “सब नासरत क ईसू क बारे मँ अहइँ। इ एक अइसा मनई रहा जे जउन किहेस अउर कहेस ओहसे परमेस्सर अउर सबहीं मनइयन क समन्वा इ देखॉइ दिहस कि उ एक महान नबी रहा।

²⁰and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.

²⁰अउर हम इ बारे मँ बातन करत रहेन कि हमरे मुख्ययाजकन अउर नेतन ओका कइसे मउत क सजा देइ बरे सौंपि दिहेन। अउर प पचे ओका क्रूस प चढ़ाइ दिहन।

²¹But we were hoping that it was he who would redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.

²¹हमार आसा रही कि इहइ रहा उ जउन इस्राएल क अजाद करावत। अउर इ सब कछू क अलावा इ घटना क भए आजु तीसर दिन अहइ

²²Also, certain women of our company amazed us, having arrived early at the tomb;

²²अउर हमरी टोली क कछू स्त्रियन हमका अचरजे मँ डाइ दिहन ह। आजु भोर मँ भिन्सारे उ पचे कब्र प गइन।

²³and when they didn’t find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

²³मुला ओनका ल्हास नाही मिली। उ सबइ लौटि आइन अउर हमका बताएन कि उ पचे सरगदूतन क दर्सन पाइ गइन ह जउन कहे रहेन कि उ जीवित अहइ।

²⁴Some of us went to the tomb, and found it just like the women had said, but they didn’t see him.”

²⁴फिन हम पचन मँ स कछू कब्र प गएन अउर जइसा स्त्रियन बताए रहिन, उ पचे हुवाँ वइसा ही पाएन उ सबइ ओका नाहीं देखेन।”

²⁵He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

²⁵तब ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू पचे केतना मूरख अहा अउर नबियन जउन कछू कहेन, ओह प बिसवास करइ मँ केतॅना धीमे अहा।

²⁶ Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”

²⁶का मसीह बरे इ जरूरी नाही रहा कि उ इ दारूण दुःखन क झेलइ अउर इ तरह आपन महिमा मँ घुसि जाइ?”

²⁷Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

²⁷अउर इ तरह मूसा सुरू कइके सबहिं नबियन तलक अउर पवित्तर सास्तरन मँ ओकरे बारे मँ जउन कहा गवा रहा, उ ओका खोलिके ओनका समझाएस।

²⁸They drew near to the village, where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.

²⁸उ पचे जब उ गाउँ क लगे आएन, जहाँ जात रहेन, ईसू अइसा बर्ताव किहेस, जइसे ओका अगवा जाइके होइ।

²⁹They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.

²⁹मुला उ पचे ओसे जबरदस्ती हठ करत भए कहेन, “हमरे साथ ठहर जा काहेकि करीब करीब साँझ होइ गइ अहइ अउर अब दिन ओनवइ क रहा।” तउ उ ओकरे संग ठहरइ भीतर आइ गवा।

³⁰It happened, that when he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave to them.

³⁰जब ओनके संग उ खइया क मेजे प रहा तबहीं उ रोटी उठाएस अउर धन्यवाद दिहस। फिन ओका तोड़िके जब उ ओनका देत रहा

³¹Their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished out of their sight.

³¹तबहीं ओनकइ आँखी खोलि दीन्ह गइ अउर उ पचे ओका पहिचान लिहन। मुला उ ओनके समन्वा स अन्तर्धान होइ गवा।

³²They said one to another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us, while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”

³²फिन उ आपुस मँ बोलेन, “रास्ता मँ जब उ हमसे बात करत रहा अउर हमका पवित्तर सास्तरन क समझावत रहा तउ का हमरे हिरदइ क भीरत आगी भी नाहीं भड़क गइ?”

³³They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,

³³फिन उ तुरंत खड़ा भएन अउर वापस यरूसलेम क चल दिहेन। हुवाँ ओनका ग्यारहवाँ प्रेरित अउर दूसर ओनके संग ऍकट्ठा मिलेन,

³⁴saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

³⁴जउन कहत रहेन, “पर्भू, असल मँ जी उठा अहइ। उ समौन (पतरस) क दर्सन दिहेस ह।”

³⁵They related the things that happened along the way, and how he was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

³⁵फिन उ दुइनउँ राह मँ जउन भवा रहा, ओकर ब्यौरा दिहन अउर बताएन कि जब उ रोटी क कउर लिहेस, तब उ सबइ ईसू क पहिचान लिहन।

³⁶As they said these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace be to you.”

³⁶अबहीं उ पचे ओनका इ बातन बताइ ही रहत रहेन कि उ खुद ओनके बीच आइ खड़ा भवा अउर ओनसे बोला, “तोहका सान्ति मिलइ।”

³⁷But they were terrified and filled with fear, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

³⁷मुला उ पचे चौंकिके सहम गएन। उ पचे सोचेन जइसे उ सबइ कउनो भूत लखत होइँ।

³⁸He said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?

³⁸मुला उ ओनसे बोला, “तू अइसे घबरान काहे अहा? तोहरे मनवा मँ सन्देह काहे उठति अहइ?

³⁹ See my hands and my feet, that it is truly me. Touch me and see, for a spirit doesn’t have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

³⁹मोरे हाथन अउर मोरे गोड़े क लखा। तू देख सकत ह कि इ सच मँ मइँ अहउँ। मोका छुआ, अउर लखा कि कउनो भूत क माँस अउर हाड़ नाही होतिन अउर जइसा कि तू लखत अहा कि, मोर उ सबइ अहइँ।”

⁴⁰When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

⁴⁰इ कहत भवा उ हाथ अउर गोड़ ओनका देखाएस।

⁴¹While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

⁴¹मुला आपन आनन्द क कारण उ पचे अब भी ओह पइ बिसवास नाही कइ सकेन। उ पचे भउचक्का रहेन। तउ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “हिआँ तोहरे पास कछू खाइ क अहइ।”

⁴²They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.

⁴²उ पचे पकाइ गइ मछरी क एक टुकड़ा ओका दिहन।

⁴³He took them, and ate in front of them.

⁴³अउर उ ओका लइके समन्वा खाएस।

⁴⁴He said to them, “This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.”

⁴⁴फिन उ ओनसे कहेस, “ई बातन उ सबइ अहइँ जउन मइँ तोहसे तब कहे रहेउँ, जब मइँ अबहीं तोहरे संग हउँ। हर उ बात जउन मोरे बारे मँ मूसा क व्यवस्था मँ, नबियन क किताबन अउर भजन संहिता मँ लिखी अहइ, पूरी होव ही अहइ।”

⁴⁵Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.

⁴⁵फिन पवित्तर सास्तरन क समझइ बरे उ ओनकइ बुद्धि क दुआर खोल दिहस।

⁴⁶He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

⁴⁶अउर उ ओनसे कहेस, “इ उहइ अहइ, जउन लिखा अहइ कि मसीह दारूण दुख भोगी अउर तिसरे दिन मरे हुअन मँ स जी उठी।

⁴⁷ and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

⁴⁷अउर पापे क छमा बरे मनफिराव क इ संदेस यरूसलेम स सुरु होइके सब देसन मँ प्रचार कीन्ह जाइ।

⁴⁸ You are witnesses of these things.

⁴⁸तू इ बातन क साच्छी अहा।

⁴⁹ Behold, I send forth the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

⁴⁹अउर अब मोरे परमपिता मोसे जउन सपथ किहेस ह, ओका मइँ तोहरे बरे पठउब। मुला तोहका इ सहर मँ उ समइ तलक ठहरे रहइ क होइ जब तक तू सरगे क सक्ती स जुरा न ह्वा।”

⁵⁰He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

⁵⁰ईसू फिन ओनका बैतनिय्याह तलक बाहेर लइ गवा अउर उ हथवा उठाइके आसीर्वाद दिहेस।

⁵¹It happened, while he blessed them, that he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.

⁵¹ओनका आसीर्बाद देत देत उ ओनका तजि दिहेस अउर फिन ओका सरगे मँ उठाइ लीन्ह गवा।

⁵²They worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

⁵²तब उ पचे ओकर आराधना किहेन अउर असीम आनन्द लइके यरूसलेम लौटि आएन।

⁵³and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

⁵³अउर मंदिर मँ परमेस्सर क स्तुति करत भएन उ पचे आपन दिन काटइ लागेन।
