¹He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.

¹फिन ईसू उ जगहिया छोड़ि के आपन सहर मँ आइ गवा। पाछे ओकर चेलन भी गएन।

²When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?

²जइसे सबित क दिन आवा, उ आराधनालय मँ उपदेस देइ लाग। जइसे उ पचे ओका सुनेन। ढेर क मिला अचरज मँ पड़ि गएन। उ सब कहेन, “इ मनई क कहाँ ते इ सब बातन मिलि गइन। इ कइसी बुद्धि अहइ जउन ऍका दीन्ह गइ अहइ। इ सइसा अद्भुत कारजन आपन हथवा स कइसे करत ह

³Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him.

³का इ उहई बढ़ई नाहीं, जउन मरियम क बेटवा अहइ अउर का इ याकूब, योसेस, यहूदा अउर समौन का भाई नाहीं? का जउन हमरे हमरे संग हिआ बाटइँ, उ ओकर बहिनियन नाहीं?” एहि बरे ओनका ईसू क मानइ मँ असमंजस होत रहा।

⁴Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”

⁴ईसू तब ओनसे कहेस, “आपन जनम भूमि, आपन नातेदार अउर आपन परिवारे क छोड़ि के एक नबी कतहुँ बेइज्जत होत नाहीं।”

⁵He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.

⁵हुवाँ ईसू कउनो अद्भुत कारजन करेस नाहीं: बजाय ऍके उ कछू बेरमियांँ प हथवा धइके ओनके चंगा कइ दिहेस।

⁶He marveled because of their unbelief. He went around the villages teaching.

⁶ईसू क ओनके बिसवास न भए प ओका अचरज भवा। तउ ईसू गाउँ गाउँ मँ उपदेस देत घूमत रहा।

⁷He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

⁷उ बारहु चेलन आपन निअरे बोलाएस, अउर दुइ दुइ ऍकउट के पठवइ लाग अउर ओनका दुस्ट आतिमन प कब्जियावइ क कहेस।

⁸He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse,

⁸उ ओनका सुझाएस कि उ पचे जात्रा मँ लठिया छोड़िक कछू न लेइँ: रोटी नाहीं, बिछउना नाहीं अउर आपन बटुआ मँ पइसा हू नाहीं।

⁹but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics.

⁹उ सबइ बधियउरी पहिन सकत हीं मुला एक ठु जियादा से बंडी भी नाहीं।

¹⁰He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.

¹⁰फिन उ ओनसे कहेस, “जउने घर मँ तू जा, हुवाँ तब तलक जगहिया न छोड़ा जब तलक तू नगर मँ रुका रहा।

¹¹ Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

¹¹अगर कउनो जगह तोहार सुआगत न होइ अउर हुवाँ क मनई तोहका न सुनइँ तउ हुवाँ स तु चल द्या। आपन गोड़वा क धूरि झाड़ द्या, जइसे ओनके खिलाफ सनद रहइ।”

¹²They went out and preached that people should repent.

¹²फिन उ पचे हुवाँ स बाहेर गएन। उ सबइ उपदेस दिहन कि उ पचे, मनफिरावइँ।

¹³They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.

¹³उ सबइ ढेर दुस्ट आतिमन क भगाइ दिहन अउर ढेर बेरमियन क जैतून क तेले स मालिस करत नीक किहेन।

¹⁴King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”

¹⁴राजा हेरोदेस ऍकरे बारे मँ सुनेस कि ईसू क नाउँ का जस हर कइँती बिआपि गवा। कछू लोग कहत रहेन, “बपतिस्मा देइवाला यूहन्ना मउत स जी गवा, अउर इहि कारण अद्भुत कारजन सक्ति काज करति अहइँ।”

¹⁵But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”

¹⁵अउर लोग कहत रहेन, “उ ईसू एलिय्याह अहइ।” अउर मनई कहत रहेन, “इ नबी अहइ की ईसू पुराने जमाने क नबियन क नाईं एक ठु नबी अहइ।”

¹⁶But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”

¹⁶जब हेरोदेस इ सुनेस, उ कहेस, “यूहन्ना जेकर मइँ गटइया कटवाएउँ ह, उ मउत स उठि गवा।”

¹⁷For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.

¹⁷हेरोदेस अपुनहि यूहन्ना क जेलिया मँ बंद होइ क अउर ओका गिरफतार होइ क हुकुम दिहेसि। आपन भाई फिलिप्पुस क पत्नी हेरोदियास क कारण जेहसे उ बियाह करेस, उ अइॅसा कइ डाएस।

¹⁸For John said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”

¹⁸यूहन्ना हेरोदेस स कहत रहा कि इ तोहका सोहत नाहीं कि तू आपन भाई क पत्नी स बियाह किहा।

¹⁹Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,

¹⁹हेरोदियास यूहन्ना क खिलाफ मनवा मँ डाह राखत रही अउर ओका मारइ चाहत रही, मुला ओका मार पावत नाहीं रहा।

²⁰for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.

²⁰अइसे हेरोदेस यूहन्ना स डेरात रहा अउर ओका मालूम रहा कि यूहन्ना सही अउर पवित्तर क मनई अहइ। एह बरे उ रच्छा करत रहा। हेरोदेस जब यूहन्ना क बारे मँ सुनत रहा तउ उ जिआदा अकुलाइ जात रहा। तउने प ही ओका यूहन्ना क बारे मँ बातन सुनइ क सोहॉत रहा।

²¹Then a convenient day came, that Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.

²¹तबहिं संजोग स बढ़िया अउसर आवा। हेरोदेस आपन जन्मदिन पइ बड़वार अधिकारी, आपन सेना क नायक अउर गलील क बड़े लोगन क भोज दिहस।

²²When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”

²²अउर जब हेरोदियास क बिटिया भितरे आइके नाचेस। ओसे उ हेरोदेस अउर भोज मँ आए मेहमनवन क रिझाइ लिहेस। यह पइ राजा हेरोदेस लरकीवा स कहेस, “जउन तू चाहा तउन माँग ल्या। मइँ तोका जरूर देब।”

²³He swore to her, “Whatever you shall ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”

²³राजा ओका अकेल्ॅले सपथ खाइके कहेस, “जउन तू माँगा मइँ तोहका जरूर देब।” हियाँ तक आपन राज्य क आधा हींसा।”

²⁴She went out, and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”

²⁴इ सुनि के उ आपन महतारी क निअरे गइ अउर कहेस, “मोका का माँगइ चाही?” तउने प महतारी कहेस, “बपतिस्मा देइवाला यूहन्ना क मूँड़ी माँगा।”

²⁵She came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”

²⁵अउर उ लरिकी फउरन राजा क नगिचे भीतर गइ अउर पूछेस, “मोका चाही कि तू ताबड़तोर बपतिस्मा देइवाला यूहन्ना क मूँड़ टाठी मँ धइ द्या।”

²⁶The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.

²⁶ऍसे राजा क बहोत दुःख भवा। मुला एह बरे ओकर सपथ अउर भोजे प मेहमनवन क कारण उ ओका मना करब नाहीं चाहेस।

²⁷Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John’s head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

²⁷तब राजा झटपट एक ठु जल्लाद ओकर मूँड़ काटि लिआवइ क पठएस। उ गवा अउर जेल मँ ओकर मूँड़ काटि लिहस।

²⁸and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.

²⁸फिन ओकर मुँड़ावा काट कइ टाठी मँ लइ आइ अउर बिटिया क दिहस। उ ऍका आपन महतारी क दिहस।

²⁹When his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

²⁹जब यूहन्ना क चेलन ऍकरे बारे मँ सुनेन तउ उ पचे आएन अउर ओकर ल्हास उठाएन अउ कब्र मँ धइ दिहन।

³⁰The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.

³⁰ईसू क चारिहुँ कइँती सुसमाचार क प्रचार करइवाले प्रेरितन ईसू क पास जमा भएन। जउन उ पचे किहन अउर सिखाएन -सब कछू बताएन।

³¹He said to them, “You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

³¹तब ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू पचे खुदइ मोरे संग एकांत जगहिया मँ आवा अउर तनिक आराम करा।” फिन हुवाँ बहोत मनई क आउब जाब लाग रहा। ऍसे उ सब खाइ क समइ नाहीं पाएन।

³²They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.

³²एह बरे उ सब मिलिके खुदइ नाउ स एकांत जगहिया मँ गएन।

³³ They TR reads “The multitudes” instead of “They” saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.

³³मुला बहोत जने ओनका जात भवा देखेन अउर पहिचानेन कि उ सब कउन रहेन। इ कारण उ लोग सबहिं सहरन स हुवाँ धरतिया प धावत गएन अउर उ पचे ओनसे पहिले पहुँचेन।

³⁴Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.

³⁴जबहिं ईसू नाउ स उतरा, उ एक भारी भीर देखेस। तबहिं उ ओनके बरे दुःखी भवा, इ कारण कि उ सबइ बिना गड़रिया क भेड़ नाहीं रहेन। अइसे उ बहोत बातन सिखावइ लाग।

³⁵When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.

³⁵तब तलक साँझ होइ गइ। एह बरे ओकर चेलन ओकरे नगिचे आएन अउर बोलेन, “इ एकांत जगह अहइ अउर दिनवा ढरि ग अहइ।

³⁶Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”

³⁶मनइयन क पठवा, जइसे उ पचे नगिचे खेतन अउर गाउँन मँ जाइ सकइँ अउ आपन बरे कछू खाइके बेसहि लेइँ।”

³⁷But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii 200 denarii was about 7 or 8 months wages for an agricultural laborer. worth of bread, and give them something to eat?”

³⁷मुला जबावे मँ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू ओनका कछू खाइके द्या।” उ सब ओहसे कहेन, “का हम पचे जाई अउर दुई सौ दीनार क बराबर रोटी बेसही अउर ओनके खाइ क बाँटी?”

³⁸He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”

³⁸ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “केतॅनी रोटी तोहरे पास अहइ? जा अउर देखा।” जब उ पचे पता पाएन, उ पचे कहेन, “हमरे पाँच ठु रोटी अउर दुइ मछरी अहइँ।”

³⁹He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.

³⁹फिन ईसू चेलन क हुकुम देहेस, “हर एक क हरिअर घसिया प पंगत मँ बइठइ बरे कहा।”

⁴⁰They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.

⁴⁰तबहिं उ सब सउ सउ अउर पचास पचास क पंगत मँ बइठ गएन।

⁴¹He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.

⁴¹तइसेन ईसू पाँच रोटिन्यक अउर दुइ मछरिन्क उठाइ के सरग क ओर निहारत भवा धन्यबाद दिहेस अउर रोटिन्क तोड़ेस। उ आपन चेलन क ओनका बाँटइ बरे दिहस।

⁴²They all ate, and were filled.

⁴²उ सबइ भरपेट खाएन अउर उ सबइ अघाइ गएन।

⁴³They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.

⁴³ओकरे बाद उ सब रोटी अउर मछरी क बचा भवा बाहर टुकरन क झउआ मँ उठाएन।

⁴⁴Those who ate the loaves were TR adds “about” five thousand men.

⁴⁴पुरुसन क गनती जउन खइया क खाएन पाँच हजार रही।

⁴⁵Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.

⁴⁵फिन तुरंत ईसू आपन चेलन नाउ मँ बइठाएस जेहसे उ सबइ जब भिरिया क बिदाई पहिले झील क ओह पार बैतसैदा चला जाइँ।

⁴⁶After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.

⁴⁶ईसू भीर क बिदाई क बाद पहाड़ी प पराथना बरे गवा।

⁴⁷When evening had come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he was alone on the land.

⁴⁷जब सांझ भइ, नाउ झिलिया क मँझधर मँ रही अउर उ भुइयाँ प अकेल्ॅले रहा।

⁴⁸Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, see Job 9:8 and he would have passed by them,

⁴⁸उ ओनका नाउ खेवत क मुसीबते मँ देखेस, काहेकि हवा ओनके खिलाफ बहत रही। लगभग तीन स छ बजे क समइ भिंसारेउ ओनके निअरे झिलिया प चलत आवा। जइसे हि ओनके निअरे स जाइ क भवा,

⁴⁹but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

⁴⁹उ पचे ओका पानी प चलत भवा निहारेन। उ सब अंजाद लगाएन कि कउनो बड़वार दुस्ट आतिमा अहइ। ऍसे उ पचे डेरात भए चिचिआनेन।

⁵⁰for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! or, “I AM!” Don’t be afraid.”

⁵⁰मुला उ पचे ओका निहारेन अउर उ सब ससाइ गएन। तुरंतहि उ ओनसे बोला, “हिम्मत रखा। इ मइँ हउँ जिन डेराअ।”

⁵¹He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;

⁵¹फिन उ ओनके संग नाउ प चढ़ि गवा, तब आँधी पटाइ गइ। ऍसे उ सबइ अचरज मँ पड़ि गएन।

⁵²for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

⁵²उ पचे रोटियन क अद्भुत कारज क बारे मँ समझ पाएन नाहीं। ओनके दिमागे कठोर होइ गवा।

⁵³When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.

⁵³जब उ सब झील पार कइ लिहन गन्नेसरत क घाटे प आएन अउर नाउ क बाँध लिहन।

⁵⁴When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,

⁵⁴जबहिं उ पचे नाउ क छाँड़ि क उतर आएन, मनइयन ईसू क पहिचान लिहन।

⁵⁵and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.

⁵⁵उ पचे समूचे पहंटा मँ भागत फिरेन अउर बेरमियन क बिछउना प जहाँ कहूँ उ पचे सुनेन कि ईसू हुवाँ बा, लादि क लइ जाइ लागेन।

⁵⁶Wherever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch just the fringe or, tassel of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well.

⁵⁶जहाँ कहूँ उ गाउँ मँ कस्बन मँ या खेतन मँ जात रहा, उ पचे आपन बेरमियन क हाटन मँ बइठाइ देतेन अउर उ पचे ईसू स बिनती करतेन कि उ आपन ओढ़ना क एक हींसा छुअइ दे। अउर सबइ जउन ऍका छुएन नीक होइ गएन।
