¹At that time, Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus,

¹उ समइ गलील क राजा हेरोदेस जब ईसू क बारे मँ सुनेस

²and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.”

²तउ उ आपन नउकरन स कहेस, “इ बपतिस्मा देइवाला यूहन्ना अहइ जउन मरि गएन मँ जी गवा बाटइ। अउर इहइ बरे इ सक्तिन ओहमाँ करत बाटिन जेसे इ इन अद्भुत कारजन क करि डावत ह।”

³For Herod had laid hold of John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.

³इ उहइ हेरोदेस रहा जउन यूहन्ना क गिरपतार कइके, जंजीरे स बाँधि, जेल मँ धाँध दिहस। इ उ हिरोदियास क कहे प किहेस, जउन पहिले ओकरे भाई फिलिप्पुस क पत्नी रही।

⁴For John said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”

⁴यूहन्ना ओसे अक्सर कहत रहत रहा: “तोहका ऍकरे साथ नाहीं रहइ चाही।”

⁵When he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

⁵ऍह प हेरोदेस ओका मार डावइ चाहत रहा, मुला उ मनइयन स डेरात रहा काहेकि मनई यूहन्ना क नबी मानत रहेन।

⁶But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced among them and pleased Herod.

⁷Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask.

⁸She, being prompted by her mother, said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptizer.”

⁸आपन महतारी क उस्कावे मँ आइके उ कहेस, “मोका टाठी मँ धइके बपतिस्मा देइवाला यूहन्ना क मूँड़ द्या।”

⁹The king was grieved, but for the sake of his oaths, and of those who sat at the table with him, he commanded it to be given,

⁹तउ भी राजा बहोत दुखी रहा मुला आपन सपथ अउर आपन मेहमानन क कारण उ ओकर मंसा पूरी होइके हुकुम दिहेस।

¹⁰and he sent and beheaded John in the prison.

¹⁰उ जेल मँ यूहन्ना क मूँड़ काटइ बरे मनई पठएस।

¹¹His head was brought on a platter, and given to the young lady: and she brought it to her mother.

¹¹तउ यूहन्ना क मूँड़ टाठी मँ धइके लइ आवा गवा अउर लरकी क दइ दीन्ह गवा। उ ओका आपन महतारी क लगे लइ गइ।

¹²His disciples came, and took the body, and buried it; and they went and told Jesus.

¹²यूहन्ना क चेलन आएन अउर ओकरे धड़े क गाड़ दिहन अउर फिन उ पचे आइके ईसू क बताइ दिहन।

¹³Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat, to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.

¹³जब ईसू ऍकरे बारे मँ सुनेस तउ उ हुवाँ स नाउ मँ बइठिके निर्जन जगहिया मँ अकेॅल्ले चला गवा। मुला जब भीड़ क ऍकरे बारे मँ मालूम भवा तउ आपन सहरन स पइयाँ पइयाँ ओकरे पाछे होइ गएन।

¹⁴Jesus went out, and he saw a great multitude. He had compassion on them, and healed their sick.

¹⁴ईसू जब नाउ स निकरि के किनारे आवा तउ उ बड़ी भीड़ देखेस। ओका ओन प दाया आइ अउर ओनके बेरमियन क नीक किहेस।

¹⁵When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.”

¹⁵जब साँझ भई तउ ओकर चेलन ओकरे लगे आइके कहेन, “इ निर्जन जगह अहइ अउर बहोत देर होइ गइ अहइ, तउ भीड़ क बिदा कइ द्या, जेसे उ सबइ गाउँ मँ जाइके आपन बरे खइया बेसहि लेइँ।”

¹⁶But Jesus said to them, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

¹⁶मुला ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “ऍनका कहूँ जाइ क जरूरत नाहीं बा। तू एनका कछू खाइके दइ द्या।”

¹⁷They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.”

¹⁷उ पचे ओसे कहेन, “हमरे लगे पाँच ठु रोटी अउर दुइ मछरिन क छोड़िके अउर कछू नाहीं अहइ।”

¹⁸He said, “Bring them here to me.”

¹⁸ईसू कहेस, “ओका मोरे लगे लइ आवा।”

¹⁹He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes.

¹⁹उ भिड़िया क मनइयन स कहेस कि उ पचे घास प बइठि जाइँ। फिन उ पाँच ठु रोटी अउर दुइ मछरिन क लइके सरग कइँती देखेस अउर भोजन बरे परमेस्सर क धन्यबाद दिहेस। फिन रोटी क टुकड़न मँ तोड़ेस अउर ओनका आपन चेलन क दिहेस। उ चेलन टुकड़न क मनइयन मँ बाँटेन।

²⁰They all ate, and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces.

²⁰सबइ जिअरा भरि के जेंएन। ओकरे बाद खियाए स बचा भवा टुकड़न स चेलन बारह झउआ भरि दिहेन।

²¹Those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

²¹स्त्रियन अउर गदेलन क तजिके हुवाँ खवइया कउनो पाँच हजार रहेन।

²²Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

²²ऍकरे तुरंतइ पाछे ईसू आपन चेलन क नाउ प बइठाएस अउर जब ताईं उ भिड़िया क बिदा करइ, ओसे पहिले आपन चेलन स गलील झील क उ पार जाइ क कहेस जइसे उ सबइ ईसू क जाइ स पहिले पहुँच जाईं।

²³After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone.

²³उ भीड़ क बिदा कइके पराथना करइ अकेॅल्ले पहाड़ी प चला गवा। साँझ होइ प उ हुवाँ अकेला रहा।

²⁴But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

²⁴तब ताईं नाउ किनारे मीलन दूर तलक जाइ चुकी रही अउर लहरन क हिलोर स नाउ डोलय लाग काहेकि आँधी उल्टी चलत रही।

²⁵In the fourth watch of the night, The night was equally divided into four watches, so the fourth watch is approximately 3:00 A. M. to sunrise. Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. see Job 9:8

²⁵भिन्सारे तीन अउर छः बजे क बीच मँ ईसू झील प चलत ओनके लगे आवा।

²⁶When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear.

²⁶ओकर चेलन जब ओका झीले प चलत देखेन तउ घबराइके आपुस मँ कहइ लागेन, “इ तउ कउनो भूत अहइ।” उ पचे डेराइ के चिचियाने।

²⁷But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying “Cheer up! It is I! or, I AM! Don’t be afraid.”

²⁷ईसू फउरन ओनसे बात करत भवा कहेस, “हिम्मत राखा! इ मइँ हउँ, अब अउ जिन डेराअ!”

²⁸Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”

²⁸पतरस जबाव देत ओसे कहेस, “पर्भू, अगर तू अहा, तउ मोका पानी प चलिके आपन लगे आवइ क कहा।”

²⁹He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.

²⁹ईसू कहेस, “पतरस, चला आवा।” पतरस नाउ स निकरिके पानी प इसू कइँती चल पड़ा।

³⁰But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

³⁰जबहिं उ जोर क आँधी देखेस उ घबराइ गवा। उ बूड़ई लाग अउर नरियान, “पर्भू, मोर रच्छा करा!”

³¹Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

³¹ईसू तुरंतहि ओकरे नगिचे पहुँचिके ओका थाम लिहेस अउर ओसे कहेस, “अरे, कम बिसवास करइया, तू संदेह काहे किहा?”

³²When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.

³²अउर उ सबइ नाउ प चढ़ि आएन। आँधी पटाइ गइ।

³³Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”

³³नाउ क मनइयन ईसू का आराधना किहेन अउर कहेन, “तू सच परमेस्सर क पूत अहा।”

³⁴When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret.

³⁴तउ झील पार कइके उ सबइ गन्नेसरत क किनारे उतरि आएन।

³⁵When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region, and brought to him all who were sick,

³⁵जब हुवाँ क रहइवाला ईसू क पहिचानेन तउ उ पचे ओकरे अवाई क खबर आसपास क सबहिं ठउरन मँ पठइ दिहन। जेसे मनई जउन बेरमिया रहेन, उ सबन क हुवाँ लइ आएन।

³⁶and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe or, tassel of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.

³⁶अउर ओसे पराथना करइ लागेन उ ओनका आपन ओढ़ना क छोर छुअइ दे। अउर जउन छुइ लिहेन, उ सबइ पूरंपूर चंगा होइ गएन।
