1Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth among you as crucified?
1O Galatiano çoroác, norc encantatu çaituztéz eguia obedi ezteçaçuen? ceiney beguién aitzinean lehenetic representatu içan baitzaiçue Iesus Christ, çuen artean crucificatua?
2I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
2Haur solament iaquin nahi dut çuetaric, Legueco obréz Spiritu saindua recebitu vkan duçue, ala fedearen predicationeaz?
3Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
3Hain çoro çarete, Spirituaz hassiric, orain haraguiaz acaba deçaçuen?
4Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?
4Alfer hambat suffritu vkan duçue? baldin alfer-ere bada.
5He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
5Bada, Spiritua çuey fornitzen drauçuenac, eta verthuteac çuetan obratzen dituenac, Legueco obréz eguiten du, ala fedearen predicationeaz?
6Even as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”
6Baina aitzitic Abrahamec nola Iaincoa sinhetsi vkan baitu, eta hari iustitiatan imputatu içan baitzayo:
7Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham.
7Hala badaquiçue ecen fedezcoac diradela Abrahamen haour.
8The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3; 18:18; 22:18
8Eta Scripturác aitzinetic ikussiric ecen fedeaz Iaincoac iustificatzen dituela Gentilac, aitzinetic euangelizatu vkan drauca Abrahami, cioela, Benedicatuac içanen dituc hitan Gende guciac.
9So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
9Bada, fedezcoac benedicatzen dirade Abraham fidelarequin.
10For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.” Deuteronomy 27:26
10Ecen norere Legueco obretaric baitirade, maledictionearen azpian dirade: ecen scribatua da, Maradicatua da norere ezpaita egonen Legueco liburän scribatuac diraden gauça gucietan, hec eguin ditzançát.
11Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.” Habakkuk 2:4
11Eta Legueaz nehor eztela iustificatzen Iaincoa baithan, gauça claroa da: ecen iustoa fedez vicico da.
12The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.” Leviticus 18:5
12Eta Leguea ezta fedetic: baina gauça hec eguinen dituen guiçona, vicico da hetan.
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,” Deuteronomy 21:23
13Baina Christec redemitu vkan gaitu Leguearen maledictionetic, bera guregatic maledictione eguin içanic: (ecen scribatua da, Maradicatua da çurean vrkatua den gucia)
14that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
14Abrahamen benedictionea Gentiletara hel ledinçát Iesus Christez, eta Spirituaren promessa fedez recebi deçagunçát.
15Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void, or adds to it.
15Anayeác, guiçonén ançora minço naiz, Appoinctamendubat guiçon-batena badere, authoritatez confirmatua bada, nehorc eztu hausten ez emendatzen.
16Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn’t say, “To seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “To your seed,” Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7 which is Christ.
16Abrahami bada promessac erran içan çaizquio, eta haren haciari. Eztu erraiten, Eta haciey, anhitzez minço baliz beçala: baina batez beçala, Eta hire haciari, cein baita Christ.
17Now I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
17Haur bada diot, lehenetic Iaincoaz Christen respectuz confirmatu içan den alliançá, laur-ehun eta hoguey eta hamar vrtheren buruän ethorri içan den Legueac eztuela hausten, promessa aboli deçançát.
18For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.
18Ecen baldin heretagea Leguetic bada, ez ia promessetic: baina Abrahami promessetic eman vkan drauca Iaincoac.
19What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
19Certaco da beraz Leguea? Transgressionén causaz eratchequi içan da, ethor leiteno haci hura ceini promessa eguin içan baitzayó, eta Leguea ordenatu içan da Aingueruéz, Ararteco baten escuz.
20Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
20Eta Arartecoa ezta batena: baina Iaincoa bat da.
21Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.
21Leguea beraz Iaincoaren promessén contra eratchequi içan da? Guertha eztadila. Ecen eman içan baliz Leguea ceinec viuifica ahal leçan, segur Leguetic liçate iustitiá.
22But the Scriptures imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
22Baina ertsi vkan du Scripturác gucia bekatuaren azpian, promessa Iesus Christen fedeaz eman lequiençát sinhesten duteney.
23But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
23Bada fedea ethor cedin baino lehen, Leguearen azpian beguiratzen guinen ertsiac reuelatzeco cen federa heltzeco.
24So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
24Bada, Leguea gure pedagogo içan da Christgana, fedez iustifica guentecençát.
25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
25Baina fedea ethorriz gueroztic, ezgara guehiagoric pedagogoren azpian.
26For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
26Ecen guciác Iaincoaren haour çarete Iesus Christ baithango fedeaz.
27For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
27Ecen batheyatu içan çareten guciéc Christ iaunci vkan duçue.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
28Ezta Iuduric ez Grecquic, ezta sclaboric ez libreric, ezta arric ez emeric: ecen çuec gucioc bat çarete Iesus Christean.
29If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise.
29Eta baldin çuec Christenac baçarete, beraz Abrahamen haci çarete, eta promessaren arauez heredero.
