1Praise Yah! Psalm 111 is an acrostic poem, with each verse after the initial “Praise Yah!” starting with a letter of the alphabet (ordered from Alef to Tav). I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.
1Aleluja! ALEF Hvalit ću Jahvu svim srcem svojim BET u zboru pravednika, u zajednici njihovoj.
2Yahweh’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.
2GIMEL Silna su djela Jahvina, DALET nek' razmišljaju o njima svi koji ih ljube.
3His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.
3HE Sjajno je i veličanstveno djelo njegovo, VAU i pravda njegova ostaje dovijeka.
4He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.
4ZAJIN Čudesima svojim spomen postavi, HET blag je Jahve i milosrdan.
5He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant.
5TET Hranu dade štovateljima svojim, JOD dovijeka se sjeća svoga Saveza.
6He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
6KAF Silna djela svoja objavi svom narodu, LAMED u posjed im dade zemlju pogana.
7The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.
7MEM Djela ruku njegovih vjernost su i pravednost, NUN stalne su sve naredbe njegove,
8They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.
8SAMEK utvrđene za sva vremena, dovijeka, AJIN sazdane na istini i na pravdi.
9He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome!
9PE On posla spasenje svom narodu, SADE Savez svoj postavi zauvijek: KOF sveto je i časno ime njegovo!
10The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
