1The word of Yahweh came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
1 Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at Jehu fab Hanani yn erbyn Baasa, a dweud:
2“Because I exalted you out of the dust, and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;
2 "Codais di o'r llwch, a'th wneud yn dywysog ar fy mhobl Israel, ond dilynaist lwybr Jeroboam a pheraist i'm pobl Israel bechu er mwyn fy nigio 'u pechodau.
3behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
3 Am hyn yr wyf yn difa olion Baasa a'i deulu a'u gwneud fel teulu Jeroboam fab Nebat.
4The dogs will eat Baasha’s descendants who die in the city; and he who dies of his in the field the birds of the sky will eat.”
4 Bydd cu373?n yn bwyta'r rhai o deulu Baasa a fydd farw yn y ddinas, ac adar rheibus yn bwyta'r rhai a fydd farw yn y wlad."
5Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
5 Ac onid yw gweddill hanes Baasa, ei hynt a'i wrhydri, wedi ei ysgrifennu yn llyfr hanesion brenhinoedd Israel?
6Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his place.
6 Pan fu farw Baasa, claddwyd ef yn Tirsa, a daeth ei fab Ela yn frenin yn ei le.
7Moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of Yahweh against Baasha, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck him.
7 Ond yr oedd gair yr ARGLWYDD wedi dod at Baasa a'i deulu drwy'r proffwyd Jehu fab Hanani am y drygioni a wnaeth yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD trwy ei ddigio 'i weithredoedd, a dod yn debyg i deulu Jeroboam; a hefyd am iddo ddinistrio hwnnw.
8In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.
8 Yn y chweched flwyddyn ar hugain i Asa brenin Jwda daeth Ela fab Baasa yn frenin ar Israel yn Tirsa, a theyrnasu am ddwy flynedd.
9His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah:
9 Yna gwnaeth ei was Simri, capten hanner y cerbydau, gynllwyn yn ei erbyn. Pan oedd y brenin yn Tirsa yn feddw chwil yn nhu375? Arsa rheolwr y tu375? yn Tirsa,
10and Zimri went in and struck him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.
10 daeth Simri a'i daro'n farw; a daeth yn frenin yn ei le yn y seithfed flwyddyn ar hugain i Asa brenin Jwda.
11It happened, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he struck all the house of Baasha: he didn’t leave him a single one who urinates on a wall, or, male neither of his relatives, nor of his friends.
11 Pan esgynnodd i'r orsedd ar ddechrau ei deyrnasiad, lladdodd bob un o deulu Baasa, heb adael ohonynt yr un gwryw, na chr na chyfaill.
12Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,
12 Dinistriodd Simri holl dylwyth Baasa yn l gair yr ARGLWYDD wrth Baasa drwy'r proffwyd Jehu,
13for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and with which they made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.
13 oherwydd i Baasa a'i fab Ela bechu cymaint eu hunain a pheri i Israel bechu a digio ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel 'u heilunod.
14Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
14 Ac onid yw gweddill hanes Ela, a'r cwbl a wnaeth, wedi ei ysgrifennu yn llyfr hanesion brenhinoedd Israel?
15In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.
15 Yn y seithfed flwyddyn ar hugain i Asa brenin Jwda daeth Simri'n frenin am saith diwrnod yn Tirsa. Yr oedd y bobl yn gwersyllu yn erbyn Gibbethon, a oedd ym meddiant y Philistiaid;
16The people who were encamped heard say, Zimri has conspired, and has also struck the king: therefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.
16 a phan glywsant fod Simri wedi cynllwyn a lladd y brenin, y diwrnod hwnnw yn y gwersyll gwnaeth holl Israel Omri, capten y llu, yn frenin ar Israel.
17Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
17 Yna aeth Omri i fyny o Gibbethon, a holl Israel gydag ef, a gwarchae ar Tirsa.
18It happened, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died,
18 A phan welodd Simri fod y ddinas wedi ei chipio, aeth i gaer tu375?'r brenin a llosgi tu375?'r brenin am ei ben, a bu farw.
19for his sins which he sinned in doing that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.
19 Digwyddodd hyn oherwydd y pechodau a gyflawnodd drwy wneud drwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD a dilyn llwybr Jeroboam, a'r pechod a wnaeth ef i beri i Israel bechu.
20Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he committed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
20 Ac onid yw gweddill hanes Simri a'i gynllwyn wedi ei ysgrifennu yn llyfr hanesion brenhinoedd Israel?
21Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.
21 Yr adeg honno rhannwyd cenedl Israel yn ddwy, gyda hanner y genedl yn dilyn Tibni fab Ginath i'w godi'n frenin, a'r hanner arall yn dilyn Omri.
22But the people who followed Omri prevailed against the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.
22 Trechodd y bobl oedd yn dilyn Omri ddilynwyr Tibni fab Ginath, a phan fu Tibni farw, Omri oedd yn frenin.
23In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel for twelve years. He reigned six years in Tirzah.
23 Yn yr unfed flwyddyn ar ddeg ar hugain i Asa brenin Jwda daeth Omri yn frenin ar Israel, a theyrnasu am ddeuddeng mlynedd.
24He bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill, Samaria.
24 Wedi teyrnasu am chwe blynedd yn Tirsa, prynodd Fynydd Samaria gan Semer am ddwy dalent o arian, ac adeiladu ar y mynydd ddinas, a alwodd yn Samaria ar l Semer perchennog y mynydd.
25Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and dealt wickedly above all who were before him.
25 Ond gwnaeth Omri fwy o ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD na phawb o'i flaen.
26For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins with which he made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.
26 Dilynodd holl lwybr a phechod Jeroboam fab Nebat, a barodd i Israel bechu a digio ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel 'u heilunod.
27Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
27 Ac onid yw gweddill hanes Omri, ei hynt a'r gwrhydri a wnaeth, wedi ei ysgrifennu yn llyfr hanesion brenhinoedd Israel?
28So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his place.
28 Pan fu farw Omri, claddwyd ef yn Samaria, a daeth ei fab Ahab yn frenin yn ei le.
29In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.
29 Daeth Ahab fab Omri yn frenin ar Israel yn y ddeunawfed flwyddyn ar hugain i Asa brenin Jwda, a theyrnasodd Ahab fab Omri ar Israel yn Samaria am ddwy flynedd ar hugain.
30Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh above all that were before him.
30 Gwnaeth Ahab fab Omri fwy o ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD na phawb o'i flaen.
31It happened, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him.
31 Ac fel petai'n ddibwys ganddo rodio ym mhechodau Jeroboam fab Nebat, fe gymerodd yn wraig Jesebel, merch Ethbaal brenin y Sidoniaid, ac yna addoli Baal ac ymgrymu iddo.
32He reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.
32 Cododd Ahab allor i Baal yn nhu375? Baal, a adeiladodd yn Samaria, a hefyd fe wnaeth ddelw o Asera.
33Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
33 Gwnaeth fwy i ddigio ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel na holl frenhinoedd Israel o'i flaen.
34In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho: he laid its foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.
34 Yn ei adeg ef ailadeiladwyd Jericho gan Hiel o Fethel. Yr oedd ei sylfaenu wedi costio iddo Abiram, ei gyntafanedig, a gosod ei dorau wedi costio iddo Segub ei fab ieuengaf yn unol gair yr ARGLWYDD drwy Josua fab Nun.
